    La autoevaluación como proceso de acreditación y la gestión educativa en la institución educativa parroquial gratuito Madre Admirable del distrito de San Luis, UGEL N° 07, 2017

    El presente estudio denominado La autoevaluación como proceso de acreditación y la gestión educativa en la institución educativa parroquial gratuito Madre Admirable del distrito de San Luis, UGEL N° 07, 2017, es de tipo correlacional, que se desarrolló con el objetivo fundamental de determinar la relación que existe entre el proceso de autoevaluación institucional y la gestión educativa en la institución educativa parroquial gratuito Madre Admirable del distrito de San Luis, UGEL N° 07, 2017. En base a una muestra no probabilística de 72 docentes, aplicando cuestionarios especialmente validados mediante una prueba piloto y el coeficiente de confiabilidad Alfa de Cronbach (0,990 y 0,965) y juicio de expertos (instrumentos aplicables). Los principales resultados descriptivos fueron: el 47,2% (34) consideran eficiente la autoevaluación como proceso de acreditación y el 41,7% (30) consideran regular la gestión educativa en la institución educativa parroquial gratuito Madre Admirable del distrito de San Luis, UGEL N° 07, 2017. La principal conclusión de este estudio fue: Existe relación significativa entre el proceso de autoevaluación institucional y la gestión educativa en la institución educativa parroquial gratuita Madre Admirable del distrito de San Luis, UGEL N° 07, 2017 (p < 0.05, Rho de Spearman = 0,929, Correlación positiva muy alta).Universidad Nacional de Educación Enrique Guzmán y Valle.Tesi

    Impact and Pedagogical Efficacy of Supplemental Instructors in Introductory Programming Education

    Learning how to solve problems using computer programming is very challenging for beginners. Supplemental instructors (SIs), student peers who lead tutoring sessions outside of normally scheduled class time can be of great assistance. This research investigates the impact and pedagogical efficacy of the presence of SIs in the classroom during the normal lecture. Specifically, this research addresses three questions: (1) What impact, if any, does the presence of the SI in the classroom have on tutoring session attendance? (2) What impact, if any, does the presence of the SI in the classroom have on grades? (3) How do the students who attend these SI-led sessions rate the impact of the sessions on the learning process as compared to students who attend other sessions? In the fall 2019 semester, our introductory programming course was offered in two different sections: Tuesday and Thursday mornings (Section 01) and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (Section 02). Our SIs attended the afternoon lectures (Section 02), while no tutors were present during the morning lectures (Section 01). One SI attended the Tuesday afternoon classes and the other SI attended the Thursday afternoon class. Outside of class, the same two SIs each held one open tutoring session weekly in the Wednesday and Thursday evenings, respectively, both at 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Both sessions were advertised and made available to all students from both sections. To address the first research question, we collected attendance data at tutoring sessions throughout the semester. Statistical analysis results indicated that there were no significant differences in attendance of tutoring sessions between students who had an in-class tutor and those who did not. To address the second research question, we analyzed all graded materials including assignments, quizzes, and exams. We also compared students’ final scores for the course. There was no appreciable difference in the scores of the two sections. To address the final research question, we collected survey data, which measured student perception of peer tutor effectiveness, at the end of the semester. We found convincing results that suggest that students were overwhelmingly satisfied with their tutors and tutoring experience and that they perceived their tutoring experience as having been beneficial to their learning outcomes. However, statistical analysis indicated that there were no significant differences in perception between students in the two sections. Although we did not discover a significant difference between the two groups in terms of the presence of the SIs, we did find that our students were very satisfied with their interactions with the peer tutors and they perceived those interactions as very beneficial. Our counter-intuitive findings suggest that these mentors can have the same positive impact on their mentees without attending lectures along with their mentees. As stewards of the university’s scarce resources and in opposition to conventional wisdom, it is valuable to know that our students may be able to enjoy the benefits that peer tutors can provide without requiring SI attendance in the classroom

    Environmental impact analysis of a Chilean organic wine through a life cycle assessment

    The food system is responsible for critical environmental problems around the world. The wine industry, having a global scale, is accountable for part of these impacts. Organic wines have been developing fast in the past decade, nevertheless there is still lack of research on this vitiviniculture practice, especially in productive countries outside Europe. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to explore the impacts of organic vitiviniculture in Chile by utilising the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology. A cradle-to-market attributional LCA including viticulture, vinification, bottling, and distribution was executed on one of the main wines produced and commercialised by the largest organic winery in the world, representing a reliable recreation of the productive and operative processes involved. The environmental impacts were calculated for all impact and damage categories of the ReCiPe 2016 methodology, using primary data from the company, and modelling it in SimaPro. Viticulture, bottling, and distribution were identified as the main lifecycle phases contributing to the impacts and damages assessed, contributing 39%, 11.8%, and 42.2% respectively. Fertilisation, the glass bottle, and the long-distance freights were the variables responsible for most of the contribution shares (31.9%, 9.39%, and 33.46% respectively). Energy consumption, especially in the viticulture and vinification phases, was also recognised as an impactful factor to be considered (5.34%, and 6.3% respectively). Different scenarios were developed to analyse potential actions and the magnitude of their improvements, all being achievable options for the winery. Replacing the glass bottle resulted in the major benefits, reducing environmental impacts between 12.7% and 21.3% depending on the material. The winery should evaluate this alternative further or explore other routes-of-action that allow to decrease the impacts related to the production of glass and their posterior transport to the international markets where the wine is sold

    Las empresas del rubro retail que incorporan soluciones de última tecnología logran mayor eficiencia en un mercado que actualmente se caracteriza por su alta competitividad. Es por ello que hoy en día se implementan sistemas de planificación de recursos empresariales, permiten que se centralice toda la información del negocio en un solo programa, siendo de vital relevancia para todos los departamentos de la empresa. En esta investigación centraremos nuestra atención en el área logística ya que tiene un papel importante en el funcionamiento de la compañía. Por lo expuesto anteriormente, la investigación tiene como objetivo general determinar la relación que existe entre la planificación de recursos empresariales y logística en una empresa retail en el distrito de Breña, Lima 2020. Se empleó una metodología de tipo aplicada, diseño no experimental y de enfoque cuantitativo. La población fue integrada por 18 colaboradores. Para la recolección de datos se empleó como técnica la encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario conformado por 15 preguntas para cada variable, y ha sido validado por expertos, y tienen una confiabilidad del Alfa de Cronbach para la variable planificación ,720 y logística ,724. Los resultados descriptivos confirman que del 100%, existió un grupo del 44.4% de los colaboradores que indicaron que la Planificación de recursos empresariales y logística tiene un nivel alto, 22.2 % que indico que existe un nivel Medio, 33.3 % que indico que existe un nivel Bajo
