    EFFECT OF STARVATION AND INFESTATION BEHAVIOR OF LARVAE KHAPRA BEETLE, Trogoderma granarium Everts (COLEOPTERA : DERMESTIDAE)

    The Khapra beetle Trogoderma granarium Everts is very destructive pest in various stored product and nominated as one of the hundred worst invasive species in the world. The study of starvation and infestation behaviors are important for improvement of insect control method. This study represent the number of molting as fact of regressive molting in starved condition, the larva of T. granarium within 68 days periods can be molted 1-3 times. The infestation behavior on three diets treatment presented. In grain wheat their larva are laid off the casting skin over the surface of product and distributed randomly in whole part of stored product. Respectively in flour casting skin are laid down in bottom of the container as effect of feeding. In flour the casting skin are laid on mostly over surface of the flour mixed with frass. In toilet tissue the infestation is present in hole over the surface and randomly position of casting skin

    Karakter Morfologis Kultivar Padi Ketan Lokal Ponorogo

    Morphological characters are basic characters to identify rice cultivars. The information of glutinous rice cultivars in Ponorogo is still very limited, therefore the exploration and characterization of the local cultivar are needed. The research aimed to explore and identify local cultivars based on morphological characters of plant, grain, and milled rice. The research was conducted on March-October 2018 at elevens subdistricts in Ponorogo. There were eleven cultivars have been collected and characterized, namely five white glutinous rice cultivars (Latisa, Tawon, Semok, Pelem, Genjah), three red glutinous rice cultivars (Garingan, Merah Pendek, Jowo), and three black glutinous rice cultivars (Wilis, Gundik, dan Gontor Bulu). The eleven cultivars were varied on plant height, panicle length, flowering time, number of tillers, grain size and shape, and the color of aleurone. The analysis of diversity and similarity on characters showed that all cultivars could be classified into four different groups. The first group was Latisa (Gontor Bulu), the second was Tawon group (Pelem), third was Genjah group (Garingan, Merah Pendek and Jowo), and the fourth was Wilis group (Gundik).     Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswadengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Number Heads Together(NHT) berbantukan hand out dan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) mata pelajaran MekanikaTeknik di kelas X TGB A SMK Negeri 2 Sukoharjo, (2) Untuk mengetahui peningkatanhasil belajar siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NumberHeads Together berbantukan hand out dan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) pada matapelajaran Mekanika Teknik di kelas X TGB A SMK Negeri 2 Sukoharjo. Penelitian inimerupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Diawali dengan tindakan pra siklus untukmengidentifikasi permasalahan yang ada didalam kelas. Penelitian tindakan kelas inidilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaantindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X TGB ASMK Negeri 2 Sukoharjo dengan jumlah 35 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yangdigunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, kajian dokumen, dan tes. Uji validitas datamenggunakan triangulasi data dan analisa data menggunakan model analisis interaktif.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menggunakan model pembelajarankooperatif tipe Number Heads Together berbantukan hand out dan Lembar Kerja Siswa(LKS) di kelas X TGB A SMK Negeri 2 Sukoharjo dapat meningkatkan : (1) Hasilbelajar siswa kelas X TGB A SMK Negeri 2 Sukoharjo dapat meningkat setelahmenerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Number Heads Together berbantukanhand out dan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS), (2) Persentase kelulusan kelas: Hasil belajarranah kognitif pada pra siklus 0%, siklus I 5,71% dan siklus II 82,86%; Hasil belajarranah afektif pada tahap pra siklus 48,57%, siklus I 51,43% dan siklus II 85,71%; Hasilbelajar ranah psikomotorik pada tahap pra siklus 0%, siklus I 14,29% dan siklus II 80%.Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatiftipe Number Heads Together berbantukan hand out dan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS)tidak hanya mampu meningkatkan penilaian ranah kognitif tetapi juga penilaian ranahafektif dan ranah psikomotorik serta efektif dalam meningkatkan minat dan keaktifansiswa kelas X TGB A SMK Negeri 2 Sukoharjo pada mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik.Kata Kunci: Number Heads Together (NHT), hand out, Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS), hasil belaja

    Nuisance Insects of Rearing mass Asian Citrus Psyllid (ACP) Diaphorina citri Under Controlled Conditions

    Rearing insects for pest experiment it’s very critical. The condition of rearing such insects impacted the smooth running of research. This condition also happens in the rearing of Asian Citrus Psyllid (ACP), Diaphorina citri. ACP is one of the most dangerous pests of citrus since responsible for the huanglongbing disease vector in citrus. Many researchers, either laboratory or field-based use a D.citri for object experiments. A clear and recent description of the types of insects or arthropods that disturb the rearing ACP is needed, especially in Indonesia. The research was conducted in the greenhouse of Faculty of Agriculture, Gadjah Mada University, from January 2021 to September 2022. The rearing of ACP uses orange jasmine (Muraya paniculata) and citrus (Citrus nobilis). The collected insect and spider preserved in alcohol or pined in insect tray and identify them based on related literature. This study proposed to assess the nuisance insect that infested on rearing of D.citri based on greenhouse conditions. Our results showing that the many nuisance insects that disturb the growth of rearing in D.citri. A total of nine insect and spider attacking D citri, they are black ants (Dolichoderus sp), aphid (Aphis sp), leaf roller caterpillar (Phyllocnistis citrella), cockroach (Blattella sp), ladybug (Exochomus nigromaculatus), mite (Tetranychus sp), Mealy bug (Pseudoccocus sp), Scale insect (Aonidella aurantia) and Spider. Those nuisance insects and spiders attack D.citri colonies in different ways and stages. The attacking nuisance insect affected to affected the size of the ACP culture

    Pada pembelajaran matematika seringkali didapatkan bahwa peserta didik masih sukar menerima serta menelaah matematika bahkan banyak yang mengeluh bahwa pelajaran matematika membosankan, tidak menarik serta susah untuk dipahami. Perlu adanya usaha untuk membangkitkan ketertarikan peserta didik dalam melakukan proses pembelajaran Matematika dengan memilih media pembelajaran yang kreatif dan inovatif. Salah satu media yang dapat digunakan itu adalah permainan yang berupa Ludo. Permainan Ludo memiliki empat bagian seperti koordinat kartesius. Keempat bagian tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai alat pengaplikasian kuadran trigonometri dimana nantinya peserta didik dapat mempelajari pelajaran trigonometri dengan ilustrasi permainan Ludo. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D). Media ini ditujukan pada peserta didik SMA kelas XI. Pada penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan salah satu model ADDIE. Sumber data adalah Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Getasan. Hasil uji coba media pembelajaran Ludo Trigonometri menunjukan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Nilai rata-rata posttest (90) lebih tinggi dari nilai rata-rata pretest (78) sehingga mengalami adanya perbedaan yang signifikan. Artinya terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah diberikan perlakuan

    Kemampuan ekstrak daun selasih dan pandan wangi dalam menarik kedatangan lalat buah dipengaruhi oleh kandungan bahan aktif seperti Metil Eugenol (ME) (C12H14O2). Rendeman minyak hasil perebusan daun selasih adalah 1,14% dengan kadar ME mencapai 76%. Sedangkan kadar kandungan ME dalam minyak atsiri daun pandan wangi sekitar kadar 5%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak selasih dan pandan wangi terhadap lalat buah. Penelitian dilakukan pada buan Agustus 2019 di Kecamatan Mlarak dan Sawo, Ponorogo, Jawa Timur. Terdapat dua perlakuan yaitu ekstrak daun selasih dan daun pandan yang masing-masing diulang tiga kali. Pengambilan sampel lalat buah didapatkan dari pemasangan perangkap di delapan petak lahan. Sedangkan, pengambilan sampel buah rusak diambil dari tanaman cabai rawit. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa ekstrak daun pandan wangi dan daun selasih mampu menarik lalat buah. Namun, ekstrak daun kemangi lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan daun pandan. Jumlah  lalat buah yang tertangkap pada perlakuan ekstrak daun selasih di daerah Mlarak 116 ekor dan Sawo 83 ekor, lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan ekstrak daun pandan wangi  yang berjumlah masing-masing 11 ekor di kedua lahan peneltian. Kemudian, intensitas serangan pada buah cabai paling banyak pada lahan dengan perlakuan ekstrak daun pandan mencapai 33.74% di Mlarak dan 29.61% di Sawo.     Durian Rind Micro Composter Model: A Case of Kampung Durian, Ngrogung, Ponorogo, Indonesia

    The case of waste from durian rind in Ngrogung, Ngebel, Ponorogo, Indonesia increased significantly per year. Agglomerations and decomposition of durian rind surrounding agro park caused air pollution and bad view in park areas. The decomposition of durian rind is very important to reduce those impacts. The micro composter model in Kampung Durian consisted of three main components. The first component was drying area with cemented ground. The drying area was set to accommodate 1 t fresh durian rind per day. The materials come from surrounding areas of agro park. The second was a machine house with one ton material capacity per day. The third was a composter house consisted of composter tube and packing area. The result of the micro composter house showed a cleaning agglomeration of durian rind from Ngebel lake and surrounding areas. In addition, the model produced liquid organic fertilizer and compost. A cycle of composting was 30 d in the dry season. Amount 1 t of durian rind decomposition resulted of 100 L liquid organic fertilizers and 50 kg compost. The result of composter had a direct impact to control waste problems in Ngebel and surrounding areas

    A survey of phytopathogenic fungi and Oomycetes<br />was conducted in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during<br />October 2008 – May 2009. Total of 223 samples were collected<br />from four regions; Al-Kharj, Oyaynah, Old Diriyah, and Al Amariyah. Isolation was done using Potato Dextrose Agar<br />(PDA). Infected parts were cut then sterilized in chlorox<br />(10%), then were put in petridish that contain PDA and<br />incubated at 25-27 °C. A total twelve genera of fungi and<br />single genera of Oomycetes were isolated from the infected<br />plants and identifi ed as Fusarium spp., Alternaria spp.,<br />Helmintosphorium (Bipolaris) spp., Sclerotium spp., Rhizoctonia<br />spp., Cladosporium spp., Mauginiella scattae, Erysiphe spp.,<br />Leveillula spp., Macrophomina phaseolina, Ustilago spp.,<br />Ulocladium spp., and Phytium spp
