AN ANALYSIS OF BAD LANGUAGE USED ON “8 MILE“MOVIE

Language is an important tool of communication. Through language we can express our opinion, ideas, and suggestions. Language makes our communication easier. Language is a system of arbitrary verbal symbol by which\ud members of speech community used as a means of communication to interact. To express their ideas, feeling, and thought, people use many kinds of language forms, namely, verbal and written expression. In the verbal expression, they use it in daily communication when they engage with their social life, and the written expression can be expressed into kind of written work, novel, and poetry.\ud Human beings always contact and interact with others in their social life. It needs the instrument called language. Actually, in their surrounding there are a lot of social groups of community with different needs and necessities. This phenomenon causes the language that they use varies in different situation.\ud The researcher focused on verbal expression of language on “ 8 Mile “ movie, especially on bad language used by actors and actresses on “ 8 Mile “ movie.\ud “8 Mile “movie told about American people’s life, how they communicate or socialize with others. Many of them used bad language in the daily communication. They used these kinds of language in order to express anger, exhaustion,\ud and show intimacy to each other.\ud The data was analyzed by using qualitative research. The object was bad language used on “8 Mile “movie. The analysis focused purposively on the bad language on this movie.\ud This was chosen because this movie has a lot of bad language.\ud In conclusion, the researcher found there are three kinds of bad language used on “8 Mile “movie they are slang, taboo, swearing which varied in each scene. Bad language is used to show the expression of anger, intimacy, and insult.\ud This study can give contribution to the study of sociolinguistics on bad language and can increase our knowledge about bad language and learn bad language from another culture

Academic Supervision Management At Smk Negeri 1 Kaliwungu Semarang

This research has three purposes. They are describing the characteristic of supervision management structure at SMK Negeri 1 Kaliwungu Semarang; the characteristic of supervision activity at SMK Negeri 1 Kaliwungu Semarang; and the characteristic of supervision reported at SMK Negeri 1 Kaliwungu Semarang. This research is a qualitative research using ethnography design. The informants are the principal, vise principal, and teachers. Data collection method used in-depth interview, observation, and documentation. Analyzing data used interactive model which was started from (1) data reduction, (2) data display, and (3) conclusion. Data validity is triangulation of data source and method of collecting data.Based on the analyzed data, there are three findings. The first finding is the characteristic of supervision management structure at SMK Negeri 1 Kaliwungu Semarang consists of (1) the supervision management structure involves the principal, the vice principal of curriculum affair, and teacher, (2) each personnel has a task based on their basic tasks, (3) each personnel has a professional working relationship in an effort to succeed the academic supervision, and (4) the principal and the vice principal of curriculum affair cooperate in preparing the supervision program, schedule, and instrument in a coordination meeting. Secondly, the characteristic of supervision activity at SMK Negeri 1 Kaliwungu Semarang involves the activity carried out by the supervisor and teacher. In the preparation, the supervisor makes a supervision program, schedule, assessment instrument, and socialization of supervision. The preparation which is done by teacher is to prepare the instructional administration instrument. The supervision is done individually toward teacher with a classroom visit technique, classroom observation, and individual meeting. The supervisor conducts observation and assessment of several aspects that consists of (a) the completeness and appropriateness of the instructional administration instrument, (b) acquisition of instructional material, (c) acquisition or classroom management, (d) evaluation of learning, analysis, and follow-up. Thirdly, the characteristic of supervision reported at SMK Negeri 1 Kaliwungu Semarang includes the supervision reported consists of the overall implementation of supervision and feedback obtained from the whole set of supervision. The report is prepared by the supervisor and proposed to the leader, people supervised, and Department of Education and other relevant agencies to be taken as the consideration and further coaching

Recently, problems of municipal solid waste have appeared in the Indonesianmetropolitan city, such as Jakarta and Surabaya. The bad of solid wastemanagement system in those city has affected the environmental quality especially in the final disposal site. The district of Bekasi, the one of big cities in Indonesia, has the same system of solid waste management with other cities in collecting, transporting and discarding of the wastes. To avoid arising the final disposal problems, Bekasi district government has improved the municipal solid waste management by upgrading of the open dumping system\u27s Burangkeng final disposal site into sanitary landfill system

Kajian Yuridis Mengenai Interpretasi Pihak Ketiga yang Berkepentingan dalam Praktek Praperadilan

Praperadilan merupakan suatu lembaga baru yang diintrodusir oleh KUHAP. Adapun fungsi yang dimiliki oleh lembaga peraperadilan adalah melakukan pengawasan horisontal terhadap adanya tindakan penyimpangan dan penyalahgunaan wewenang yang dilakukan oleh instansi kepolisian selaku penyidik dan instansi kejaksaan selaku penuntut umum. Pengawasan yang dilakukan tersebut merupakan bagian dari implementasi integrtaed criminal justice system. Dalam perkembangannya, muncul berbagai permasalahan pada lembaga praperadilan. Salah satunya adalah adanya ketidakjelasan interpretasi dalam KUHAP mengenai siapa yang dimaksud dengan pihak ketiga yang berkepentingan dalam Pasal 80 KUHAP. Dengan didasarkan pada putusan-putusan dalam berbagai kasus praperadilan terkait dengan interpretasi pihak ketiga yang berkepentingan tersebut maka dalam praktek dan perkembangannya terdapat perbedaan interpretasi yang diberikan oleh para hakim. Penggunaan metode interpretasi tersebut dilakukan dalam rangka melakukan penemuan hukum yang bertujuan untuk menutupi aturan hukum in casu KUHAP yang tidak menginterpretasikan secara jelas mengenai definisi pihak ketiga yang berkepentingan

Simulasi Eliminasi Harmonisa Menggunakan Teori Daya Sesaat p q Pada Jaringan Power Sistem Beban Tidak Seimbang Dengan Matlab Simulink

Pada suatu power system, Idealnya bentuk gelombang tegangan dan arus yang dibangkitkan berbentuk sinusoidal yang mulus (smooth sine wave).Akan tetapi,fakta di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa bentuk gelombang tegangan maupun arus tidak semulus yang diinginkan. Penyimpangan dari bentuk gelombang yang ideal tersebut sering dinyatakan sebagai THD (Total Harmonic Distortion). Atau THD bisa dipergunakan untuk menyatakan besar harmonisa yang terkandung dalam gelombang tersebut.Paper ini membicarakan masalah kualitas power system yang terjadi akibat pergeseran sifat beban dalam kuantitas besar, yaitu dari beban linier ke beban nonlinier telah menimbulkan berbagai masalah yang berkaitan dengan introduksi harmonisa, yaitu inkompatibilitas peralatan, peningkatan rugi-rugi dan penurunan efisiensi sistem, penyimpangan sistem pengukuran dan analisis sistem tenaga, penurunan keandalan serta masalah policy/tanggung jawab. Arus harmonisa ini lebih suka mengalir pada impedansi rendah, misalkan pada kapasitor , karena kapasitor memiliki impedansi rendah untuk frekuensi tinggi. Harmonisa sendiri terdiri dari 2 komponen harmonisa layaknya listrik pada umumnya. Yaitu harmonisa tegangan dan harmonisa arus, harmonisa tegangan lebih berbahaya dibandingkan harmonisa arus. Secara garis besar, penelitian ini mengulas masalah pembangkitan harmonisa, masalah yang ditimbulkannya, serta solusi yang dapat diambil, baik secara teknis maupun kebijaksanaan. Sebuah metode digunakan untuk mengliminasi arus harmonik pada sisi pelanggan. Paper juga ini mengevaluasi metode pada perhitungan kompensasi arus yang digunakan untuk mengkompensasi system tiga fasa dengan beban tak seimbang.
