Hyperbolic chaos in self-oscillating systems based on mechanical triple linkage: Testing absence of tangencies of stable and unstable manifolds for phase trajectories

Dynamical equations are formulated and a numerical study is provided for self-oscillatory model systems based on the triple linkage hinge mechanism of Thurston -- Weeks -- Hunt -- MacKay. We consider systems with holonomic mechanical constraint of three rotators as well as systems, where three rotators interact by potential forces. We present and discuss some quantitative characteristics of the chaotic regimes (Lyapunov exponents, power spectrum). Chaotic dynamics of the models we consider are associated with hyperbolic attractors, at least, at relatively small supercriticality of the self-oscillating modes; that follows from numerical analysis of the distribution for angles of intersection of stable and unstable manifolds of phase trajectories on the attractors. In systems based on rotators with interacting potential the hyperbolicity is violated starting from a certain level of excitation.Comment: 30 pages, 18 figure

The article studies approaches to determination of totality of business processes of machine building enterprises of the RF within structural & functional and process-oriented model of management. It was found that in functional management, algorithm is limited by six steps, and totality of business processes is “tied” to technological productive processes; that in process management, there are ten steps of determination and development of business processes, and their totality is limited by flow of value creation or by quality loop (life cycle of production). The authors offer an algorithm of formation of the system of business processes of large industrial enterprises which issue a range of technologically complicated products and are on the stage of transition from linear & functional management to process management. At the stage of transition from one model to another, it is offered to found the algorithm on the functional model of management through determination of “basic element of management” with further transformations of the system. Methodology of formation of the system of business processes of enterprises is developed which – within the PLM concept – allows: structuring activities in the sphere of different business processes, designing product and processes simultaneously, and integrating systems of creation of product of enterprises-members into the system of business processes of final manufacturer. Targeted indicators of evaluation of efficiency of main business processes are offered, which are received as a result of implementation of methodology in view of separate production of machine building enterprise of the RF which stipulate determination of the list of top-level processes, reflecting interests of most of external members of the system and of those processes which do not have reserves for improvement and are subject to changes in future.peer-reviewe

The widespread practice and results of the introduction of distance learning in several countries prove its economic efficiency. In this article, the authors consider the possibilities and advantages of using a differentiated approach in the practice of distance learning at a university. The article describes the pedagogical experience of structuring distance learning in the form of a new educational model - a block-modular system used by teachers in the practice of higher education. The authors argue that such structuring ensures the integrity of the perception and presentation of educational material, contributes to a better mastery of the discipline, provides the ability to build personal educational trajectories of students and identifies the following principles: flexibility, individualization, modularity, differentiated form of control..La práctica generalizada y los resultados de la introducción del aprendizaje a distancia en varios países demuestran su eficiencia económica. "This paper presents the results of an analytical project on the design and approbation of methodology for assessing and monitoring the measures taken by the government of the Russian Federation in response to the recent worldwide fiscal crisis. The paper is based on our analysis of about 100 measures initiated between October 2008 and March 2009 to support Russia's real economy. Within the scope of this analysis, we singled out the main beneficiaries according to industry and enterprise scale, and estimated the effects of the measures during the crisis and recovery phases. The paper also describes the major risks the Russian government will face as a result of implementing the aforementioned measures and identifies the key problems and inconsistencies of the anti-crisis programme." Multispectral anti-reflection coatings based on YbF3/ZnS materials on ZnGeP2 substrate by the IBS method for Mid-IR laser applications

    Get PDF
A multispectral anti-reflective coating of high radiation strength for laser applications in the IR spectrum for nonlinear ZnGeP2 crystals has been developed for the first time. The coating was constructed using YbF3/ZnS. The developed coating was obtained by a novel approach using ion-beam deposition of these materials on a ZnGeP2 substrate. It has a high LIDT of more than 2 J/cm2. Optimal layer deposition regimes were found for high film density and low absorption, and good adhesion of the coating to the substrate was achieved. At the same time, there was no dissociation of the double compound under high-energy ions

Ontogenetic Development of Neural and Muscular Rhythmic Activity and Its Regulation in Mammals during Perinatal Period

This review covers our recent advantages in studying the ontogenetic aspects of physiological mechanisms underlying regulation of rhythmic behavior. We have revealed that excitation patterns that emerged at early stages of phylogenetic development of life forms contribute greatly to the rhythmic activity of living vertebrates and invertebrates. These patterns govern spontaneous excitation, which is easily observed during the early stage of ontogenesis. The intensity and patterns of rhythmic activity are determined by nature and kinetics of certain metabolic reactions. During perinatal and sometimes postnatal periods (as in prematurely born animals), endogenic rhythmicity of developing physiological structures is strongly pronounced due to relatively stable living conditions. This rhythmic behavior is coordinated within an entire organism. Its integration in multiple systems is driven by amplitude and frequency modulation yielding rhythms of various frequency ranges. Indeed, it is the complex and conjoint functioning of physiological systems that maintains homeostasis in developing organisms. We present the results of our authentic research concerning the evolution and ontogeny of regulatory mechanisms of motor, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems. The aspects of intact and disrupted development are considered, involving the changes in dopaminergic, norepinephrinergic, and cholinergic system activation
