Field notes on findings of threatened amphibian species in the central mountain range of western Panama
During field work along a transect in the Cordillera Central of western Panama between 2008 and 2010, we detected several populations of amphibian species which are considered as “Endangered” or “Critically Endangered” by the IUCN. Some of these species had suffered from serious population declines, probably due to chytridiomycosis, but all are generally threatened by habitat loss. We detected 53% of the Endangered and 56% of the Critically Endangered amphibian species that have previously been reported from within the investigated area. We report on findings of species that have not been found in Panama for many years, and provide locality data of newly discovered populations. There is a need to create a new protected area in the Cerro Colorado area of the Serranía de Tabasará, where we found 15% of the Endangered and Critically Endangered amphibian species known to Panama.
The following work is presented as an aid, to the Valdivieso Winery bottling plant, to made roots of organization in preventive maintenance, through designed methodological tools such as: procedures and check lists. These tools will serve as in Jack's records, for continuous monitoring and work teams, hoping for with this greater availability of equipment at a lower cost.
It begins developing a diagnosis of the maintenance situation, using an management evaluation software, to implement corrective measures on deficient maintenance areas, that raise the level of definition in a high percentage, recommending generate and organize cycles of monitoring equipment in fixed time periods, integrating operators and with tools for preventive maintenance in a manner such that justify well the development of this work. Subsequently, an analysis, FMECA, whose result is defined is developed where concentrate the resources of the maintenance priority depending on frequency and criticality, order of the FMECA hierarchy all equipments that make up the production process, consisting of 11 machines, through the analysis of them, so it is selected to the Tribloc as the most critical analysis of subsystems being understood as well.
Data obtained from the FMECA analysis, be achieved determine modes of failure, effect, recognition mode and failures more criticism, thus implementing the proposed preventive maintenance tools. These being a contribution for those who do not possess a deep equipment knowledge since they receive a clear, structured material and with defined parameters with which it is possible to achieve a correct interpretation and solution of fault
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the different ways of computer and Internet
appropriation by popular classes’ youth comparing home users and cybercafé
users. The analysis is based on a survey conducted in La Matanza during 2010. The questionnaire examined different topics relative to youth and ICT relationship: frequency and place of access; time experienced with computer; digital skills and type of more frequent uses of computer and Internet.Fil: Benitez Larghi, Hector Sebastian. A new small-bodied ankylosaurian dinosaur from the Upper Cretaceous of North Patagonia (Río Negro Province, Argentina)
The most representative ankylosaurian remains from Argentina have been found in sediments of the Allen Formation (Campanian–Maastrichtian) in Salitral Moreno, Río Negro Province. Several authors have discussed the identity and history of these remains. In this study, we review all published material along with some new remains in order to summarize all the knowledge about these ankylosaurs. Previously published material includes a tooth, dorsal and anterior caudal vertebrae, a femur and several osteoderms. The new remains include synsacral and caudal elements, a partial femur and osteoderms. The anatomy of the tooth, the synsacrum, the mid-caudal vertebra, the femur and the osteoderms, and the histology of the post-cervical osteoderms, support a nodosaurid identification, as proposed in previous descriptions of the Salitral Moreno material. Patagopelta cristata gen. et sp. nov. is a new nodosaurid ankylosaur characterized by the presence of unique cervical half-ring and femoral anatomies, including high-crested lateral osteoderms in the half rings and a strongly developed muscular crest in the anterior surface of the femur. The ∼2 m body length estimated for Patagopelta is very small for an ankylosaur, comparable with the dwarf nodosaurid Struthiosaurus. We recovered Patagopelta within Nodosaurinae, related to nodosaurids from the ‘mid’-Cretaceous of North America, contrasting the previous topologies that related this material with Panoplosaurini (Late Cretaceous North American nodosaurids). These results support a palaeobiogeographical context in which the nodosaurids from Salitral Moreno, Argentina, are part of the allochthonous fauna that migrated into South America during the late Campanian as part of the First American Biotic Interchange. https://zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:FBA24443-F365-49FD-A959-10D2848C2400.Fil: Riguetti, Facundo Javier. Electoral Cycles, Investment, and Institutional Constraints in Developing Democracies
A longstanding question is whether policy uncertainty reduces private fixed investment in developing democracies. Yet studying the question empirically has proven challenging given that economic activity can cause as well as result from policy uncertainty. We investigate this issue within the context of electoral business cycles, building on research that suggests elections provide an exogenous source of policy uncertainty. As a central part of this analysis, which involves four decades of data from 57 developing democracies, we examine how institutional constraints moderate the relationship. Three main findings emerge. First, on average, elections are associated with a decline in private fixed investment. Second, however, this effect varies according to the level of institutional constraints; as they increase, the electoral cycle becomes less pronounced, including in specifications that account for the potential endogeneity of the institutions. Third, the effects are larger and more robust in systems with fixed elections

Corporate Social Responsibility in Spanish professional soccer: a relationship for the development of a new citizenship?
This research explores the relation existing between Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Public Relations (PR) through the legitimization theory (Lindblom, 1994). With this project we aim to determine if soccer clubs are implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs to legitimate their role in society as corporate citizens. The specific objectives are (1) to know how CSR programs are being introduced in Spanish soccer clubs; (2) to determine their main CSR polices and (3) to identify dialogue channels with stakeholders. The methodology is based on the interpretative and descriptive analysis of 42 professional soccer clubs in the Spanish League (2016/2017), including those in the first and second division. In particular, we will analyze annual reports, their corporate websites and finally, the foundations of these clubs as instruments to develop CSR policies. The results show little commitment to CSR, which emphasizes charity, actions aimed at the members and compliance with Transparency Laws. The main conclusion is that professional clubs are limited to comply with the legislation and do not have a real commitment to transparency and CSR. The concept of CSR is not applicable to the professional soccer sector in Spain. Palabra
A para-differential renormalization technique for nonlinear dispersive equations
For \alpha \in (1,2) we prove that the initial-value problem \partial_t
u+D^\alpha\partial_x u+\partial_x(u^2/2)=0 on \mathbb{R}_x\times\mathbb{R}_t;
u(0)=\phi, is globally well-posed in the space of real-valued L^2-functions. We
use a frequency dependent renormalization method to control the strong low-high
frequency interactions.Comment: 42 pages, no figure
O papel do “Mineral Resources Expert Group” dos EuroGeoSurveys no contexto mineral Europeu
ABSTRACT: Europe shows an inevitably growing and accelerating consumption
