Políticas públicas na agricultura familiar refletindo no contexto sobre as mudanças climáticas com enfoque no programa garantia safra / Public policies in family agriculture reflecting the context on climate change with focus garantia safra program

O Programa Garantia Safra é uma política pública que visa garantir a segurança alimentar de agricultores familiares que residam em regiões sistematicamente sujeitas à perda de safra por razão de estiagem ou enchente. Este programa social auxilia o pequeno agricultor no caso de adversidades climáticas. O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar o Programa Garantia Safra no âmbito das políticas públicas para a agricultura familiar contextualizando sua importância diante das mudanças climáticas. O arcabouço legal dessa política pública é composto por leis, decretos, resoluções e portarias que, ao longo de execução do Programa, representaram conflitos e mudanças às ideias iniciais estabelecidas pela Lei nº 10.420/2002 que instituiu o Benefício Garantia-Safra no âmbito das ações do Programa de Fortalecimento da Agricultura Familiar (PRONAF). A participação dos agricultores familiares ocorre, principalmente, nos munícipios inseridos na área de atuação da Superintendência do Desenvolvimento do Nordeste (SUDENE). Com a implantação do Programa Garantia Safra e de outras políticas de assistência social, os efeitos das mudanças climáticas e a seca histórica impacta menos nas vidas das famílias agricultoras do Semiárido Nordestino. No entanto, mudanças se fazem necessárias ao aperfeiçoamento do Programa, cujos normativos legais deverão considerar, para além de outros aspectos, o cenário futuro de mudanças climáticas e seus impactos para a agricultura familiar

Case Reports of a New Method for Differential Diagnosis of Calcified Carotid Artery Atheroma

Introduction. Early diagnosis of calcified atheromas may decrease morbidity and mortality caused by brain and cardiovascular diseases, in which atherosclerosis is the main etiological factor of these pathologies. Dental examinations with the aim of detecting this pathology have been in progress since 1981, such as panoramic radiography, considered the most widely studied method for this diagnosis. However, some limitations of this exam have been reported with reference to inability to visualize the cervical region and difficulty of establishing a precise diagnosis because of many structures and calcifications that have similar radiographic characteristics. Case Report. The present study to describe a dental radiographic technique for establishing the differential diagnosis of calcified atheromas regarding other calcifications and reporting 3 clinical cases that demonstrate its effectiveness in different clinical situations. Discussion. Manzi Projection can promote a differential diagnosis of calcified atheromas in dental practice and consequently subsidize the clinician for referring the patient to the physician

Vivência integrada na comunidade: inserção longitudinal no Sistema de Saúde como estratégia de formação médica

Propostas inovadoras para o processo ensino-aprendizagem nos cursos de Medicina vêm sendo desenvolvidas em busca de uma formação profissional generalista, humanista e crítica. A partir da aprovação do Programa Mais Médicos (PMM), novas escolas foram criadas adotando metodologias de ensino ativas e promovendo maior integração ensinoserviço-comunidade. Este artigo é um relato de experiência sobre o desenvolvimento do módulo Vivência Integrada na Comunidade no curso de Medicina da Escola Multicampi de Ciências Médicas do Rio Grande do Norte, que oportuniza ao estudante uma inserção longitudinal no sistema de Saúde em municípios do interior do Nordeste. Essa proposta vem promovendo maior integração entre a universidade, os gestores e os trabalhadores da Saúde. A aposta é a de que este módulo poderá contribuir com a fixação do médico na região e fortalecer o sistema de Saúde no interior do Brasil

Prevalence and incidence of injuries in para athletes: A systematic review with meta-analysis and GRADE recommendations

Objective To investigate prevalence, incidence and profile of musculoskeletal injuries in para athletes. Design Systematic review. Data sources Searches were conducted in MEDLINE, EMBASE, AMED, SPORTSDiscus, CINAHL and hand searching. Eligibility criteria Studies were considered if they reported prevalence or incidence of musculoskeletal injuries in para athletes. Study selection, data extraction and analysis followed the protocol. Meta-analyses were conducted to estimate the prevalence and incidence rate among studies and subgroup analyses investigated whether methodological quality and sample size of the studies influenced on the estimated injury prevalence and incidence. The Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation system determined the strength of evidence. Results Forty-two studies were included. The prevalence of musculoskeletal injuries was 40.8% (95% CI 32.5% to 49.8%). Because of imprecision, indirectness and inconsistency, the strength of evidence was very low quality. The incidence of musculoskeletal injuries was 14.3 injuries per 1000 athlete-days (95% CI 11.9 to 16.8). The strength of evidence was low quality because of imprecision and indirectness. The subgroup analyses revealed that the sample size influenced on estimated injury prevalence and methodological quality influenced on estimated incidence. Injuries were more prevalent in the shoulder, for non-ambulant para athletes, and in the lower limbs, for ambulant para athletes. Summary/conclusion Para athletes show high prevalence and incidence of musculoskeletal injuries. Current very low-quality and low-quality evidence suggests that future high-quality studies with systematic data collection, larger sample size and specificities of para athletes are likely to change estimates of injury prevalence and incidence in para athletes

Integrated experience in the community: longitudinal health care insertion as medical education strategy

<p></p><p>Innovative teaching-learning process proposals for medical courses have been developed for generalist, humanistic, critical professional education. Beginning with approval of the More Doctors Program, new schools were created, adopting active teaching methodologies and promoting further community-service-teaching integration. This paper is an experience report on the development of the Integrated Experience in the Community module in the medical course at the Medical Sciences Multi-campuses College of Rio Grande do Norte, which provides students with longitudinal insertion opportunities in the healthcare system of the hinterland towns of the Northeast region. This proposed module has been promoting further integration between the university managers, and healthcare workers. The goal of this module is to contribute to securing physicians for in the region and strengthening the healthcare system in the Brazilian hinterland.</p><p></p
