    Prospects of MMX Mesalazine in Routine Outpatient Treatment of Ulcerative Colitis

    Aim. A general review of treatment approaches to ulcerative colitis (UC) and the importance of oral 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-ASA) for its routine outpatient management.Key points. The choice of drug therapy for UC remission induction and maintenance is linked to the intestinal lesion extent and disease attack severity. The 5-ASA therapy remains the mainstay UC treatment in routine outpatient practice, with prescription rate of 80–90%. Oral 5-ASA drugs are often used in monotherapy or when oral and rectal 5-ASAs are recommended in combination. As a sustained-release medication, the MMX mesalazine multi-matrix delivery system provides for higher active substance dosages along entire colonic mucosa, including its distal portions. A higher active substance dosage per tablet reduces the number of intakes and ensures a better patient adherence, both in terms of daily and long-term therapy.Conclusion. The 5-ASA drugs are most commonly prescribed in outpatient practice. Sustained-release 5-ASAs provide for a more effective active ingredient distribution at higher dosages along colonic mucosa

    Jean Pecquet (1622–1674). To the 400th anniversary of the birth

    The article is dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding French anatomist, physician and philosopher Jean Pecquet (1622–1674). Pecquet’s biography is connected with the city of Dieppe, where the future scientist was born and got his primary education, and with Paris, where he made his main discoveries in anatomy. Throughout his life, Pecquet collaborated with many prominent scientists of that time (Jacques Mentel, Louis Gayant, Jean Riolan (the Younger)), including not only physicians and anatomists, but also physicists such as Blaise Pascal, Edme Mariotte, Marin Mersenne and Evangelista Torricelli. Pecquet’s most famous discovery is the chyle cictern, or cisterna chyli. The structure was named after of the scientist – “Pecquet’s reservoir (cistern)”. But more revolutionary discovery made by Pecquet is revealing and proving the fact that the lymphatic ducts flow into the superior vena cava indirectly through the venous angles and refuting the conventional opinion on the drainage of lymph into the liver. An important help in Pecquet’s anatomical research and experiments was his passion for the physical and mathematical sciences. In collaboration with Edme Marriott, Pecquet studied the structure of the eyeball and turned out to be more foresighted, because, unlike Marriott, he correctly understood the role of the retina in the functioning of the eye as an organ of vision. Pecquet was one of William Harvey’s supporters regarding his concept of blood circulation. He introduced cutting-edge at that moment technologies into the anatomy methodology, including animal experiments in vivo, and made a fateful contribution to the progress of anatomical science

    CORPORATE CULTURE OF EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION AS A FACTOR OF INFLUENCING THE SOCIAL HEALTH OF THE RUSSIAN STUDENT YOUTH

    In the article, the corporate culture of an educational organization is considered as a factor of influencing the social health of Russian student youth. The theoretical and methodological base of the study consists of the conceptual provisions of sociological theory, revealing two basic concepts: “corporate culture of an educational organization” and “social health of Russian student youth”. The authors highlight the main functions of corporate culture; give a sociological analysis of the concept of "social health" of youth. The attitude to health at the level of corporate culture of an educational organization is a system of corporate standards in relation to social health and its value in general and the social policy of this organization in the field of health. The article reveals personality- and functionally-oriented directions of the culture of corporate relations in terms of their impact on the social health of young people.No artigo, a cultura corporativa de uma organização educacional é considerada um fator de influência na saúde social dos jovens estudantes russos. A base teórica e metodológica do estudo consiste nas disposições conceituais da teoria sociológica, revelando dois conceitos básicos: “cultura corporativa de uma organização educacional” e “saúde social dos jovens estudantes russos”. Os autores destacam as principais funções da cultura corporativa; dar uma análise sociológica do conceito de "saúde social" da juventude. A atitude em relação à saúde no nível da cultura corporativa de uma organização educacional é um sistema de padrões corporativos em relação à saúde social e seu valor em geral e à política social dessa organização no campo da saúde. O artigo revela orientações orientadas para a personalidade e a função da cultura das relações corporativas em termos de seu impacto na saúde social dos jovens.  En el artículo, la cultura corporativa de una organización educativa se considera un factor que influye en la salud social de los jóvenes estudiantes rusos. La base teórica y metodológica del estudio consiste en las disposiciones conceptuales de la teoría sociológica, que revela dos conceptos básicos: "cultura corporativa de una organización educativa" y "salud social de los jóvenes estudiantes rusos". Los autores destacan las principales funciones de la cultura corporativa; Dar un análisis sociológico del concepto de "salud social" de la juventud. La actitud hacia la salud a nivel de cultura corporativa de una organización educativa es un sistema de estándares corporativos en relación con la salud social y su valor en general y la política social de esta organización en el campo de la salud.     Influence of the basing scheme on the economic parameters of the process of processing thecast billet of the bodi part

    The influence of the method of basing a molded billet of a body part on the amount of used resources during the process of its processing is considered. An example of the basing of the casting of the casing of the gear pump G-11-25 during machining on a horizontal boring machine 2A622F4 is given. Based on the calculation of the cutting power, conclusions are drawn about the amount of electricity consumed. A method of reducing energy consumption is proposed.Рассматривается влияние способа базирования литой заготовки корпусной детали на количество использованных ресурсов во время процесса ее обработки. Приведены варианты базирования отливки корпуса шестерённого насоса Г-11-25 во время обработки на горизонтально-расточном станке 2А622Ф4. На основании расчета мощности резания сделаны выводы о возможности сокращения затрат потребляемой электроэнергии

    Morphological estimation of changes in cancellous raduis bone for forensic age determination

    Visual researches showed that the cancellous bone of the distal radius has significant morphological changes with the increase of years. Revealed structural changes of cancellous bone allows to differentiate the age of an object and to direct a medical expert towards the proposed age group at the identification study. As a result of photocolorimetric research of involution changes of cancellous bone of the distal radius we found statistically significant increase of light transmission with the increase of years which is associated with an increase of osteoporosis. The correlation coefficient ranged from 0,63 to 0,80. On the basis of these data mathematical models that allow to determine the person's age in the forensic identification researches of the distal radius were developed (standard mean square error in determination of the age was from 6,6 to 8,2 years)

    Rational Organisation of Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring

    The main pharmacoepidemiological method for assessing the efficacy and safety of ongoing pharmacotherapy involves the collection of spontaneous reports on adverse drug reactions (ADRs) associated with the use of medicines.The aim of the study was to analyse approaches to organising a system for collecting information on ADRs associated with the use of medicinal products, taking the Omsk region as a case study.Materials and methods: the authors analysed 200 ADR reporting forms received by the Regional Centre for the Study of Side Effects of Drugs (RCSSED) in 2019.Results: the analysis determined the ways of receiving the forms in the RCSSED. According to the analysis, the ADR reports were submitted by medical organisations in Omsk (86%) and the Omsk region (0.5%), as well as directly by patients (13.5%). The leading sources of reports were clinical pharmacologists (80% of the forms). Most of the reports were on ADRs associated with the use of psychotropic (41%) and antitumour (10%) medicinal products; it is explained by the proactive attitude and high commitment of medical personnel from the specialised clinics in Omsk towards their professional duties. Other important sources of reports in the Omsk region, which contributed to the number of spontaneous reports from patients, were the patient hotline and free consultation appointments with the clinical pharmacologist of the RCSSED on side effects of medicinal products. The article emphasises the leading role of the RCSSED clinical pharmacologist in educating medical personnel—in pharmacovigilance, collecting information about the development of ADRs, and the quality of reporting form filling—and coordinating the activities of the medical and pharmacy services, including the stages of laboratory assessment of medicinal product quality and pharmaceutical consultation of general public.Conclusions: using the example of the Omsk region, the authors demonstrated the structural organisation of the collection of information about adverse reactions associated with the use of medicinal products. An important direction for further improvement of the organisation of ADR monitoring is the interaction with employees of pharmacy organisations, including additional training events for them

    The article is dedicated to the outstanding Russian physiologist, pet of the Medical Faculty of the Tomsk Imperial University Kulyabko Alexei Alexandrovich, who was the first in the world who on the second of August 1902 revived the human heart after 20 hours after the child’s death which was caused by pneumonia. The were characterized the basic stages of life of this world famous physiologist, his teachers and colleagues, analyzed his scientific and pedagogical activity, revealed the significance of his scientific discoveries for modern intensive care, cardiac surgery and transplantation. Статья посвящена выдающемуся русскому физиологу, питомцу медицинского факультета Императорского Томского университета Алексею Александровичу Кулябко, который впервые в мире 2 августа 1902 г. оживил человеческое сердце спустя 20 ч после смерти ребенка, наступившей от воспаления легких. Охарактеризованы основные этапы жизненного пути всемирно известного физиолога, его учителя и коллеги, проанализирована его научно-педагогическая деятельность, выявлено значение его научных открытий для современной реаниматологии, кардиохирургии и трансплантологии.

    Open and Hidden Charm Production in 920 GeV Proton-Nucleus Collisions

    The HERA-B collaboration has studied the production of charmonium and open charm states in collisions of 920 GeV protons with wire targets of different materials. The acceptance of the HERA-B spectrometer covers negative values of xF up to xF=-0.3 and a broad range in transverse momentum from 0.0 to 4.8 GeV/c. The studies presented in this paper include J/psi differential distributions and the suppression of J/psi production in nuclear media.     В работе экспериментально исследован характер течения металла в очаге деформации при прессовании медных шин на линии непрерывной экструзии (ЛНЭ) «Conform-400». Подтверждена гипотеза исключающая преимущественное влияние температуры, скорости прессования и толщины облоя на возникновение пузырей и расслоений в медных шинах. Доказан факт затягивания окисленного слоя металла из колеса в форкамеру.In operation the character of a current of metal in the deformation center when molding copper busbares on the Conform 400 line of the continuous extrusion (LCE) experimentally is probed. The hypothesis excluding preferential influence of temperature, speed and value of a burr on origin of surface blowhole and lamination in copper busbares is confirmed.     Search for the Flavor-Changing Neutral Current Decay D0μ+μD^0 \to \mu^+\mu^- with the HERA-B Detector

    We report on a search for the flavor-changing neutral current decay D0μ+μD^0 \to \mu^+\mu^- using 50×10650 \times 10^6 events recorded with a dimuon trigger in interactions of 920 GeV protons with nuclei by the HERA-B experiment. We find no evidence for such decays and set a 90% confidence level upper limit on the branching fraction Br(D0μ+μ)<2.0×106Br(D^0 \to \mu^+\mu^-) <2.0 \times 10^{-6}.Comment: 17 pages, 4 figures (of which 1 double), paper to be submitted to Physics Letters
