Behaviour and hydraulic performances of composite breakwter under higher wave than design wave

Coastal and harbor structures should be resilient so that the hydraulic performances of the structures will not decreased rapidly at the ultimate state where the incident wave height exceeds the design wave. In this study, the behavior of the caissons of composite breakwaters and the hydraulic performance at the ultimate state are measured through a hydraulic experiment. The influence of the damage to a caisson on the behavior of the adjacent one is also investigated. The authors show that the sliding distance of the caisson for the largest incident wave height in the case where the caissons with the same safety factors are installed in a row is larger than those in the cases where one of the caissons has a smaller safety factor and where one of the caissons is intentionally overturned

Co-integration of Silicon Nanodevices and NEMS for Advanced Information Processing (Invited Talk)

In this paper we present our recent attempts at developing the advanced information processing devices by integrating nano-electro-mechanical (NEM)structures into conventional silicon nanodevices. Firstly, we show high-speed and nonvolatile NEM memory which features a mechanically-bistable floating gate is integrated onto MOSFETs. Secondly we discuss hybrid systems of single-electron transistors and NEM structures for exploring new switching principles

Spectral invariance, K-theory isomorphism and an application to the differential structure of C<SUP>&#x002A;</SUP>-algebras

The notion of spectral invariance of a locally convex &#x002A;-algebra is defined by constructing the enveloping C&#x002A;-algebra and is characterized. It is shown that the spectral invariance induces &#167;{\rm K}&#167;-theory isomorphism at a general level. As an application, the differential structure of C&#x002A;-algebras is studied

Pemasaran Relasional, Kualitas Produk, dan Harga terhadap Kepuasan Konsumen Produk Mie Steven pada Ud. Sehati.

Hubungan dengan konsumen dan pemenuhan keinginan dengan memperhatikan kepuasan adalah cara terbaik yang harus dilakukan Perusahaan agar dapat bertahan. Pemasaran relasional merupakan cara dalam membangun dan menjalin hubungan antara Perusahaan dengan para konsumennya. Kepuasan konsumen berhubungan dengan kualitas produk yang digunakan konsumen, karena itu Perusahaan harus meningkatkan kualitas produk yang dihasilkan, disisi lain Perusahaan perlu memperhatikan harga yang sesuai dengan produk. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah pemasaran relasional, kualitas produk, dan harga berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan konsumen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini 277 konsumen. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 100 responden dan diolah menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pemasaran relasional, kualitas produk, dan harga secara bersama berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan konsumen dalam menggunakan Mie Steven. Untuk meningkatkan kepuasan konsumen, sebaiknya manajemen Perusahaan meningkatkan pemasaran relasional dengan para pelanggannya, sehingga para pelanggan dapat meningkatkan penggunaan terhadap produk. A Study on the Ability of the Third Year Students of English Study Program Fkip Ur in Writing Sequence of Events of Reed's Movie Yes Man

The purpose of this study is to find out the third year students' ability of English Study Program in writing sequence of events of Yes Man movie. This research focus on the accuracy in grammar, vocabulary mastery, the mechanics, arrange the form and style and ease of communication (fluency) based on the movie. Data were collected using writing test, particularly writing the sequence of events the movie. The research finding are as follows: firstly, the ability of the students based on three raters in writing plot of movie is 70.37 which is in Average to Good level. Second, the students' average score based on three raters for Grammar aspect is 3.49, the average score for Mechanics is 3.54, in Vocabulary aspect the average score is 3.66, the students' average score for Form is 3.31 and the last average score is Fluency, which is 3.39. The highest score obtained by the students is in Vocabulary aspect and the lowest score is in Form aspect

STUDI PERFORMASI SUDU TURBIN ANGIN TIPE VERTICAL AXIS BERBAHAN KOMPOSIT

Along with the increasing human population, the use of fossil energy such as oil also increases. While fossil energy is one of the largest contributors to carbon emissions that can cause climate change. One thing that can be done to control climate change is to switch to the use of renewable energy. In the research conducted, turbine blades with a vertical axis were made using carbon fiber composites with different number of blades, namely with 4, 6 and 8 blades. The testing process is carried out with the wind speed of 4; 4.5; and 5 m/s for each turbine with different number of blades. As a wind direction, the researchers used a wind tunnel made of acrylic and pipes as the leg frame. The results of this study are the highest output power achieved by the turbine blades with 4 blades at a wind speed of 5 meters per second with 5,216 watts. While the lowest output power is in the turbine blades with 8 blades at a wind speed of 4 meters per second with a power value of 0.288 W. The turbine with the number of blades 8 has a fairly low output energy than turbines with 4 and 6 blades. The highest efficiency of wind turbine use is achieved by a turbine with a number of 4 blades with a maximum efficiency value of 95,07% and the lowest efficiency is found in a wind turbine with a number of blades. 8 with a maximum percentage of 6,07%

Water Quality of Ranowangko River That Crosses Tomohon City and Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province

The Ranowangko River passes through Tomohon City and Minahasa Regency, ending in the Sulawesi Sea. Tombariri District, is the Bunaken National Park area. Ranowangko River Water Monitoring in 2022 by the Regional Environmental Service of North Sulawesi Province shows that Fecal Coli and Total Coli parameters in the Ranowangko River at Station 1 do not meet the requirements according to Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021 concerning Class 2 National Water Quality Standards (BMA). Research to assess water quality from biological, physical and chemical aspects as well as determine water quality status. Monitoring was carried out 4 times in 2 consecutive years at 3 observation stations. Quantitative data and qualitative data include water quality analysis through determination of 14 parameters compared according to BMA Class 2. The water quality data was analyzed using the Storet Method to determine water quality status in accordance with Minister of Environment Decree Number 115 of 2003. The results showed Fecal Coli and Total Coli (Biological Aspects), TSS (Physical Aspects), Total Phosphate (Chemical Aspects) exceeded the BMA. Score calculation results using the Storet method at Station 1: -68, Station 2: -72 and Station 3: -76. Based on the value system According to Minister of Environment Decree 115 of 2003, the score above shows that the Water Quality Status of the Ranowangko River is heavily polluted. Recommendations to the regional governments of Tomohon City and Minahasa Regency to carry out further monitoring of the water quality of the Ranowangko River
