The purpose of this dissertation is to point out the significance and role that Petar II Petrovic Njegos has, not only in literature, about which a lot has been written, but also in less interpreted theology. Njegos believed in God and that everything in nature is His work, including man who was created in His image. Science tries to prove that man evolved from an animal and thus eliminates the influence of God on the creation of man and His action on human life. By analyzing Njegos's religious thought and bringing it into connection with the theological research of Nikolaj Velimirovic and Atanasije Jevtic, my goal is to find the answer to many theological and anthropological questions, as well as to see the importance of religion on the lives of today's people. We are witnesses that people in the modern world have not moved too far away from their ancestor Adam, and that they proudly show Satan’s qualities, not realizing how they are dangerous because they are the cause of most, if not all, mortal sins. God gave people the love to spread it towards God and his brothers, because only with love man does fulfill God’s law and conquer the kingdom of heaven. No mortal of "limited" knowledge has an answer to questions about future life or his origin. Only death provides the answer to all the questions that plague humanity. Going to death means rejecting the worthless body and re-establishing immortality for sincerely repentant and communion souls who have voluntarily sacrificed their lives for the salvation of mankind. After Jesus Christ, Milos Obilic and the heroes of Kosovo decided on this kind of death, and in the end, Njegos, who experienced his tragic stay on Earth as a predestination from God and who sought to return his people to the Christian path of salvation, continues on the mentioned line of human salvation

Influence of the damage level during quenching on thermal shock behavior of low cement castable

    Get PDF
In the recent decades, the use of unshaped monolithic refractories has been increasing greatly because of their significant advantages over other shaped refractory bricks of the same class. A low cement high alumina castable was synthetised and sintered at 1300°C in order to investigate thermal and mechanical properties, as well as thermal shock behavior. The water quench test was applied as an experimental method for thermal stability testing. Modification of the water quench test was performed by additional monitoring of the samples behavior during the water quench test such as implementation of image analysis and ultrasonic measurements. The image analysis program was applied on samples in order to measure the level of surface damage before and during the water quench test. Ultrasonic measurements were performed with the aim to measure the Young modulus of elasticity during the testing. Strength deterioration of the samples was calculated by the model based on ultrasonic velocity changes during the water quench test. The influence of monitoring the damage level before and during the quench experiment and its influence on thermal shock behavior will be discussed

Na kraju ce biti predstavljeno otkrice dva kanala formiranja za kompaktne elipticne galaksije u jatima galaksija...Within this dissertation results from the analysis of formation, abundance and evolution of the dwarf galaxies from cosmological simulations will be presented. We will present results from first cosmological simulation which was performed and analyzed in its entirety in Serbia. From the obtained results it was shown how the large scale structure formed, primarily the formation of clusters of galaxies. Since the clusters of galaxies are dominant structures in the universe, which are relatively slowly forming in relation to the existence of the universe, using the Illustris cosmological simulation, with included hydrodynamics, it will be shown that a significant part of the clusters of galaxies are not in the state of dynamic equilibrium, as some authors claim, therefore their formation process continues. The obtained results will be used to divide the clusters of galaxies into three types: interacting clusters, clusters interacting with smaller groups (weakly interacting clusters), and clusters of galaxies that are not interacting. As the dwarf galaxies constitute largest number of galaxies in the universe, notably largest number in the clusters of galaxies, this raises the question how cluster’s interactions affect the structure and abundance of a diverse type of dwarf galaxies within them. After a brief review of today’s known types of dwarf galaxies, we will show that there is susceptibility of the abundance of dwarf irregular galaxies in relation to whether the parent cluster of galaxies is in interaction or not. As it is assumed that the dwarf irregular galaxies are predecessors for the formation of the most numerous types of dwarf galaxies, this could point to the dominant channel of delivering these galaxies to clusters of galaxies where they are expected to undergo morphological transformation. In the end, the discovery of two formation channels for compact elliptical galaxies in the clusters of galaxies will be presented..

Izneti su i aspekti uspešnih preventivnih mera (edukacija roditelja, dece školskog uzrasta i dr.).The results of an analytical study of 340 accidental poisonings in children treated in the Children\u27s Hospital in Beograd in the 1974-1978 period are discussed from the point of view of the age and sex of the children and the type and circumstances of poisoning. The poisonings caused by ingestion of medicaments, particularly psychotropic drugs, as well as by ingestion of petroleum distillates were found to be the most frequent. Some preventive measures such as education of parents and school age children are suggested

Collective psychological ownership and reconciliation in territorial conflicts

    Get PDF
Collective psychological ownership refers to people’s perception that an object, place, or idea belongs to their own group. We considered this concept in the context of territorial conflicts and proposed that (1) collective psychological ownership is distinct from place attachment, (2) higher ingroup identifiers are more likely to claim collective ownership and feel attached to the territory, yet (3) only ownership claims are related to lower support for reconciliation. These hypotheses were tested in two studies using structural equation modelling. Study 1 addressed the Kosovo conflict, based on Serbian participants living in Serbia (N = 264). We found that collective psychological ownership and place attachment were distinct. Moreover, higher Serbian identifiers had a stronger sense of collective ownership of Kosovo and were more attached to it. Those with stronger feelings of collective ownership supported reconciliation with Albanians less, while place attachment did not hinder reconciliation. Study 2 replicated these findings among a new sample of Serbs in Serbia (N = 173), among Serbs in Kosovo (N = 129), and in two other conflict settings: among Greek Cypriots in Cyprus (N = 135) and Jews in Israel (N = 109). Altogether, we provide evidence that collective psychological ownership can represent an obstacle to reconciliation in conflict regions

Copyright @ 2013 Elsevier B.V.Increasing attention is being directed at the role played by anti-androgenic chemicals in endocrine disruption of wildlife within the aquatic environment. The co-occurrence of multiple contaminants with anti-androgenic activity highlights a need for the predictive assessment of combined effects, but information about anti-androgen mixture effects on wildlife is lacking. This study evaluated the suitability of the androgenised female stickleback screen (AFSS), in which inhibition of androgen-induced spiggin production provides a quantitative assessment of anti-androgenic activity, for predicting the effect of a four component mixture of anti-androgens. The anti-androgenic activity of four known anti-androgens (vinclozolin, fenitrothion, flutamide, linuron) was evaluated from individual concentration-response data and used to design a mixture containing each chemical at equipotent concentrations. Across a 100-fold concentration range, a concentration addition approach was used to predict the response of fish to the mixture. Two studies were conducted independently at each of two laboratories. By using a novel method to adjust for differences between nominal and measured concentrations, good agreement was obtained between the actual outcome of the mixture exposure and the predicted outcome. This demonstrated for the first time that androgen receptor antagonists act in concert in an additive fashion in fish and that existing mixture methodology is effective in predicting the outcome, based on concentration-response data for individual chemicals. The sensitivity range of the AFSS assay lies within the range of anti-androgenicity reported in rivers across many locations internationally. The approach taken in our study lays the foundations for understanding how androgen receptor antagonists work together in fish and is essential in informing risk assessment methods for complex anti-androgenic mixtures in the aquatic environment.European Commission and Natural Environment Research Council

The production of durable concrete with a high content of supplementing cementitious materials and recycled aggregate presents a step towards sustainability in the concrete industry. The paper presents the findings of the study, conducted on four series of concrete with self-compacting properties, which embodied recycled concrete aggregate, as a substitution for natural sand and gravel. Besides, this concrete possessed high content of fly ash, therefore qualifying as ecological (green) one. Particle packing method was used in the design of this concrete. Fresh properties included: density, slump flow, V-funnel, L-box and temperature, while compressive and tensile strengths were evaluated in the hardened state. Although certain difficulties in the application were recognized concerning the fast loss of workability in the fresh state, all of the tested mixtures exceeded the requirements of hardened structural concrete
