Perceções éticas dos TOC : uma análise dos fatores que podem influenciar as suas decisões

Dissertação de mestrado em Contabilidade e Finanças, apresentada à Faculdade de Economia da Universidade de Coimbra, sob a orientação de Ana Maria Gomes Rodrigues.A conduta ética dos indivíduos tem-se evidenciado terreno fértil nos discursos das mais variadas áreas da atividade humana, tendo essas exposições vindo a materializar-se num número crescente de publicações académicas/científicas. O objetivo da presente dissertação foi averiguar a existência ou não de relação entre fatores individuais – género, idade e experiência de trabalho – e situacionais – pares (colegas e superiores hierárquicos) e código de ética – com o processo de tomada de decisões éticas por parte dos TOC. Para enquadrar teoricamente o trabalho empírico, o estudo explora os conceitos teóricos associados à ética e à socialização do indivíduo. O estudo empírico foi realizado através de um questionário distribuído aos TOC nas Reuniões Livres (nas cidades de Aveiro, Coimbra, Covilhã, Leiria e Viseu). A análise do questionário foi feita com recurso ao SPSS, através de testes paramétricos (género, idade, experiência de trabalho e código de ética) e não paramétricos (pares). As conclusões retiradas deste estudo mostram que não há evidências de que os fatores analisados influenciem o processo de tomada de decisões, nomeadamente a perceção ética e a intenção de agir eticamente

The existentialist view (on the content of experience) defended

The aim of this paper is twofold: to consider in detail the objections against the existentialist view of the content of visual experience and to develop and defend a version of it that avoids these objections, solving, specifically, the so-called "particularity problem." The main thesis is that the existential content of visual experience must be understood as relativized, incomplete content (rather than a classical, complete proposition), modeled as a function of the sextuple of object, agent, time, location, causal relation, and world to truth-values.A visão existencialista (sobre o conteúdo da experiência) defendidaSão dois os objetivos desse artigo: considerar em detalhe as objeções contra a concepção existencial do conteúdo da percepção e desenvolver e defender uma versão alternativa da mesma que possa contornar os problemas levantados, em particular, o assim chamado “problema da particularidade”. A tese central a ser defendida aqui é a de que o conteúdo existencial da percepção deve ser compreendido nos termos de uma proposição relativizada que tem por modelo uma função de mundos com o sujeito, o tempo da experiência e outros parâmetros relevantes marcados ao centro a valores de verdad

Descompassos e contrapontos no ensino de sociologia: a canção “de protesto” como recurso pedagógico

TCC (graduação) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas, Curso de Ciências Sociais.O presente texto reflete brevemente sobre em que sentido a Sociologia – enquanto disciplina escolar – estimula ou promove a capacidade de pensar uma possível “troca cultural” entre os agentes escolares – professores e estudantes – utilizando-se da canção como suporte metodológico. Problematizando esta questão, será apresentado o processo de inclusão da disciplina de Sociologia no currículo da educação nacional, posteriormente discutindo o papel da canção no ensino escolar. Como suporte empírico, será transposto um relato de observação feita em sala de aula numa turma de ensino médio, uma experiência que envolveu o uso de canções “de protesto” em aulas de Sociologia. Para concluir, serão questionadas as vantagens e limitações da canção enquanto ferramenta pedagógica na disciplina de Sociologia.This paper reflects briefly in what sense the Sociology – as a school discipline – encourages or promotes the ability to think about a possible "cultural exchange" between school agents – teachers and students – using songs as methodological support. Discussing this issue, will be presented the inclusion process of Sociology discipline in the curriculum of national education, further discussing the role of music at school education. As empirical support, will be transposed an account of observations made in a class of high school, an experience that involved the use of protest song‟s in Sociology classes. To conclude, will be questioned the advantages and limitations of song as a teaching tool in the discipline of Sociology

Control of a white organic light emitting diode’s emission parameters using a single doped RGB active layer

White Color tuning is an attractive feature that Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs) offer. Up until now, there hasn’t been any report that mix both color tuning abilities with device stability. In this work, White OLEDs (W-OLEDs) based on a single RGB blend composed of a blue emitting N,N′-Di(1-naphthyl)-N,N′-diphenyl-(1,1′-biphenyl)-4,4′-diamine (NPB) doped with a green emitting Coumarin-153 and a red emitting 4-(Dicyanomethylene)-2-methyl-6-(4-dimethylaminostyryl)-4H-pyran (DCM1) dyes were produced. The final device structure was ITO/Blend/Bathocuproine (BCP)/ Tris(8-hydroxyquinolinato)aluminium (Alq3)/Al with an emission area of 0.25 cm2. The effects of the changing in DCM1’s concentration (from 0.5% to 1% wt.) allowed a tuning in the final white color resulting in devices capable of emitting a wide range of tunes – from cool to warm – while also keeping a low device complexity and a high stabilitty. Moreover, an explanation on the optoelectrical behavior of the device is presented. The best electroluminescense (EL) points toward 160 cd/m2 of brightness and 1.1 cd/A of efficiency, both prompted to being enhanced. An Impedance Spectroscopy (IS) analysis allowed to study both the effects of BCP as a Hole Blocking Layer and as an aging probe of the device. Finally, as a proof of concept, the emission was increased 9 and 64 times proving this structure can be effectively applied for general lighting

Operational risk management: the basel II

This work shows the operational risk management and the importance of implementing an appropriate structure of risk management. In order to contextualize the issue was addressed the concept of risk and operational risk and the various risk categories and made the frame in the various Basel Accords. It focused on Basel II that has innovated dealing with operational risk, hitherto forgotten. In this context it was discussed the various risk assessment methods: basic, standard and advanced. The theme is organized so that there is a common thread that culminates in risk management presenting the guidelines of the BIS in this regard and a model of a risk management framework.N/
