    Penentuan Elevasi Permukaan Air Berdasarkan Data Series Tinggi Tekanan Air

    Series data of sea surface elevation is required to determine the parameters of tidal and wave parameters.The series data on sea water surface is irregular waves which are a superposition of several regular waves.Therefore, water surface parameters are usually based on statistical parameters. Statistical parameter ofwater surface can be obtained by performing frequency analysis on data series of water surface elevationobtained by field measurements. The water surface elevation can be also determined by converting dataseries of water pressure obtained by pressure sensors. In this paper, the water surface elevation that has asmall oscillation period is calculated based on two methods i.e. method of linear wave theory and methodTransform Fast Fourier (FFT). The water surface elevation that is calculated by using linear wave theorymethod is converted directly from data series of water pressure that consists of hydrostatic pressure anddynamic pressure. FFT method has two steps to convert water pressure to become water surface elevation.First of all data series of water pressure is fragmented into several regular waves based on their frequencies.Secondly, In order to reduce errors, water level fluctuations with high frequencies are removed from the databased on the maximum frequency that can be recorded by the measuring instrument. The maximumfrequency is determined by applying a deep-sea conditions and the depth position of the pressure sensor.Data used in the calculation is data from LIP11D experiments conducted at Delft LIP11D Hydraulic. Threedata sets of water pressure were used to compare the water surface elevation of direct measurements withtwo water pressure conversion results using linear wave theory and the FFT method. Results of analysisshow that the water surface elevation obtained by the FFT method gives good results when compared withthe results of direct measurement

    Students’ Perception on Game-Based Learning Using Technology: Kahoot! As a Case Study

    There have been studies which exploring students’ perception on the use of kahoot!. However, research on investigating students’ opinion on the implementation of kahoot and students’ recommendation for educational stake-holders is uncommon. This study relies on semi-structured interview data from 15 second-year students (10 female and 5 male) enrolling in the Introduction to Linguistics Class in English Education Department of STKIP Yapis Dompu. This study aims to explore the benefits of the use of kahoot, the barriers and students’ recommendation to educational stake-holders for improvement. The data were analysed using thematic analysis adapted from (Braun & Clarke, 2006) which consists of 6 steps. The finding of this paper suggested that the implementation of kahoot in learning process had four benefits: Firstly, Kahoot creates fun and interested learning atmosphere. Secondly, it riggers students’ attention and focus. Thirdly, it facilitates comprehension of material Taught. Lastly, Kahoot! fosters positive competitiveness among students. Additionally; there were two main barriers of using kahoot in this research: firstly, limitations on internet access. Secondly, not enough time to answer. The surprising conclusion of the research was that, all participants had never been exposed to game-based learning platform during their formal school (elementary and high school); they only were only exposed to game-based learning platform at this introduction to linguistics class. Therefore; all participants highly recommended to all lecturers and teachers to game-based learning platform in their teaching. This study relied on game-based learning platform kahoot. Therefore, similar study which explores other game-based learning platforms is highly recommended

    Penelitian ini berfokus dan tujuannya untuk menganalisa konstruksi identitas diri kelompok gay Makassar yang memperlihatkan identitas dirinya sebagai gay dalam media sosial instagram. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi naratif, data diambil oleh peneliti dilapangan sebagai hasil pengamatan dan wawancara langsung dengan informan kelompok gay yang tinggal di kota makassar, provinsi sulawesi selatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok gay tersebut mengkonstruksi dirinya sebagai seorang gay di instagram untuk mencari pasangan yang berasal dari sejenisnya. Dengan menggunakan berbagai fitur seperti storygram, feed foto, dan diret message. Kelompok tersebut cenderung menampilkan unggahan foto dengan badan yang athletis, menyukai selfie dengan bertelanjang dada, menyukai berfoto selfie dan lebih rileks, penggunaan aksesoris seperti softlens ketika sedang berfoto atau selfie, dan menggunakan outfit up to date serta bermotif

    Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk melihat apakah terdapat pengaruh penggunaan lembar kerja peserta didik terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SD Negeri 91 Soreang. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Variabel bebas penelitian ini adalah lembar kerja peserta didik. Variabel terikat adalah hasil belajar. Populasi penelitian 42 siswa dengan jumlah laki-laki 21 orang dan jumlah perempuan 21 orang yang terdiri dari dua kelas. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Instrumen yang peneliti gunakan berupa soal pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 30 soal. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial menggunakan independent sample T-test. Pelaksanaan penggunaan lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) pada siswa berada pada kategori sangat baik. Hasil belajar IPS siswa berada pada katgeori sangat baik, hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari rata-rata pretest mengalami perubahan ketika diberikan posttest. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan penggunaan lembar kerja peserta didik memiliki efek pada hasil belajar. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah penggunaan lembar kerja peserta didik berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SD Negeri 91 Soreang.     Shrimp heads will harm the environment if not managed properly. Utilization of this by-product as a flavoring agent by adding fillers widely used, but powdered preparations without added fillers have not been reported. This study aimed to make flavored preparations from tiger prawn heads with different drying temperatures acceptable to consumers. The oven drying method performed at temperatures of 100oC (SH1), 125oC (SH2), and 150oC (SH3) and the resulting fiber was tested for physical characteristics (yield and color test) and organoleptic tests (sensory test and hedonic test). The color test results show changes in the values of brightness (L*) of 49.07-55.28, reddish (a*) of 8.41-10.39, yellowish (b*) of 25.10-32.65, and degrees of whiteness (WI) of 40.23- 46.48 where this value decreases as temperature increases. The sensory test results showed significant divergentbetween the odor treatments but were not significantly different in color and appearance. The hedonic data analysis indicated that the panelists' preference for hueranged between 7-8 (liked-very like), aroma, 6-7 (rather liked), taste, 5-6 (neutral-liked somewhat), and texture, 7-8 (like-really like). Generally, based on physical and organoleptic tests, it showed specific characteristics of shrimp powder at a drying temperature of 100 oC (SH1)

    Uji Akurasi Ambang Batas Indeks Stabilitas Atmosfer Terhadap Pembentukan Thunderstorm dan Awan Cumulonimbus di Stasiun Meteorologi Kelas I Sultan Hasanuddin

    Indeks stabilitas memiliki nilai ambang batas dan akurasi nilai ambang batas yang beragam terhadap prakiraan terjadinya awan Cb dan thunderstorm di tiap wilayah, sehingga dengan kondisi tersebut indeks stabilitas sangat menarik untuk dikaji tak terkecuali di Bandara Internasional Sultan Hasanuddin. Indeks stabilitas sangat beragam jenisnya, namun yang umum digunakan dalam memprakirakan terjadinya awan Cb dan thunderstorm adalah SI, LI, TTI, SWEAT, KI, dan CAPE. Pada penelitian ini, ambang batas indeks stabilitas terhadap kejadian awan Cb dan thunderstorm hampir identik satu sama lain dengan bulan Desember merupakan bulan dengan ambang batas terendah dan tertinggi bagi tiap-tiap indeks stabilitas terhadap kejadian awan Cb dan thunderstorm. Akurasi ambang batas indeks stabilitas terhadap kejadian awan Cb lebih baik dibandingkan akurasi ambang batas indeks stabilitas terhadap kejadian thunderstorm yang disebabkan oleh awan Cb yang muncul di suatu wilayah belum tentu menghasilkan thunderstorm namun ketika thunderstorm terjadi di suatu wilayah maka thunderstorm tersebut disebabkan oleh adanya awan Cb
