    One cause of the poor quality of some concrete blocks in the city of Palu is the lack of cement used in the concrete block. This is caused by the high price of cement so that income of concrete blocks maker decreases. To find a way out of these problems, a lot of waste material that can be used in the manufacture of concrete block, one of which is coal fly ash. The purpose of this activity is to introduce the use of coal fly ash in the manufacture of concrete block to business partners of  the concrete block makers in Palu city. The purpose of this activity is to make concrete block business group partners can increase their income without compromising quality concrete block produced.Activity counseling / coaching and mentoring manufacturing concrete block using coal fly ash has been done to the concrete block makers. To facilitate the implementation of the concrete block-making, each made the graduated graduated barrel of sand, cement and coal fly ash graduated. To facilitate the implementation of the concrete block-making, made barrel graduated ie graduated sand, cement and coal fly ash graduated. The composition of the mixture is introduced to the partners is 0.75 sacks of cement: 0.25 sacks of coal fly ash and ± 300 kg of sand or 1 cement barrel dose: 1  coal fly ash barrel dose and 2  sand barrels doses. The results of this activity is to get that quality of concrete blocks produced by using coal fly ash strongly increased compressive strength but does not increase the quality of concrete blocks (Remain quality II). This activity was also found that any use of the three sacks of cement will result in an additional gain of ± 130 concrete blocks. This indicates that the use of coal fly ash in the manufacture of concrete blocks to provide added value to the concrete blocks makers

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of service Jl. Mangga, Jl. Datu Pamusu, Jl. S. Sausu and Jl. S. Moutong both existing conditions and current conditions of the transfer of traffic flow on Jl. Sis Aljufri.Methods of traffic data collection is done manually by recording vehicles passing on a road during peak hours. Methods of data collection side friction done manually by recording the vehicle stops, the slower vehicles, the pedestrians, vehicles in and out of the side of the road. The results of this study found that the road gets traffic diverted due to the closure of Jl. Sis Aljufri increased degree of saturation, which means a change in level of service

    Several experiments have been conducted by using Fly Ash and some similar materials, such as lime, sand, gypsum, quarry dust, Fibre Glass for Bricks-making, which generally aims to get a high-strength brick, and safe for the environment. Fly Ash classified as a B-3 waste is a coal combustion residue generated from burning coal in Steam power plant. Because Fly Ash contains SiO2, Al2O3,P2O5 and Fe2O3, the levels are quite high; the nature of its cement characteristic (pozzolonic) is very good for the use of construction industry. In this paper Fal-G brick production process, uses of rap-trap bond in Fal-G brick masonry prism test study and from the economic point of view it turns out the use of hollow block Fal-G can saveconstruction costs 20 to 30 %.     PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN KAPUR PADAM SEBAGAI BAHAN PENGISI (FILLER) PADA KETAHANAN PENGELUPASAN BETON ASPAL LAPIS AUS (AC-WC)

    Asphalt Concrete Wearing Course (AC-WC) Pavement is located at the upper layer indirect contact with the vehicle wheel, rain and sunshine. This condition causes the pavement layer AC-WC susceptible to damagecaused by traffic loads, the influence of water and the hot sun as stripping. Currently, much effort has beendone such as the use of hydrates lime as an additive to improve the durability of the AC-WC pavement from damage. However, this study tries to use hydrates lime as a filler material in view of its influence onstripping resistance of AC-WC pavement. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of hydrates lime as a filler material to stripping resistance of AC-WC pavement. The test have been done on each percentage of hydrat lime: 0%, 25%, and 50%. Testing of AC-WC pavementto stripping  resistance using Immersion Compression Test to obtain the Index of Residual Strength (IRS)AC-WC pavement. Value of the residual strength index is an indicator of stripping resistanceof asphalt pavement. Testing of Immersion Compression Test using a Universal Testing Machine (UTM) atthe test temperature is 250C. Testing of Immersion Compression Test conducted for each percentage ofhydrate lime on the condition of Optimum Asphalt Content. The results of the study found that the use ofhydrat lime as a filler material can affect the stripping resistance of AC-WC pavement. This is indicated bythe increased value of the IRS pavement using hydrates lime as a filler material than without the use ofhydrate lime. The study also found that the IRS maximum value is 96.03% in the hydrat lime content of 25% and aminimum value of 94.48% IRS on the hydrate lime content of 50%.Keywords: Stripping resistance, hydrate lime, IR

    The amount of electricity bill payment of Universitas Tadulako in recent months has increased to between Rp. 240.000.000,- and Rp. 260.000.000,- per month. This bill payment increases three times compared by the average of electricity bill payment in period 2009 - 2010.  Based on the monitoring and measurement results of the electricity  load in surrounding  Universitas Tadulako, it is found that the increasing of the electricity bill payment is caused by the unbalancing of the load consumption pattern such that resulting in lots of losses, so many electricity consumption in out of the work hours and there is a substation that uses the government group electricity rates which should use social group electricity rates

    Concrete mixture for structure of the building is expected to according to the quality and specifications desired. With the addition of admixtures materials used for concrete mix, it is necessary to know the type, properties and benefits of admixture produced by various companies. Concrete used In this study were added admixtureof Plastiment-VZ for characters investigated.In this study used two variations of concrete, ie normal concrete and concrete with the addition PlastimentVZ with usage percentage of 0.20%, 0.40% and 0.60% of the weight of the cement used in normal concrete. Cylindrical specimens used for compressive strength testing with a total of 3 pieces for each test.The test results obtained average compressive strength of normal concrete (f'cr) of 27.554 MPa, and for concrete with the addition of-VZ Plastiment of 0.20% obtained an average compressive strength, f'cr = 29.252 MPa, the concrete with the addition of Plastiment-VZ 0.40%, obtained f'cr = 30.951 MPa, whereas the addition of 0.60% for the compressive strength at 28 days obtained at 32.083 MPa.Keywords: Compressive strength, Plastiment-V

    The rapid economic activity in Kendari  is indicated by  development of  central business  Lippo Plaza in MT.Haryono Roads Kendari. However, the consequences of the development of the central business  LippoPlaza  have affected on the environment in the form of increased noise and air pollution. The aim  of thisstudy was to determine the level of noise and air pollution in the existing conditions, and to determine thelevel of noise simulation.  The method  used in this study for the noise calculations  was based on " The Bookof Calculation of Road Traffic Noise " published by the Department of Transport , Welsh Office , HMSO(1988), and the method of calculation of pollutant concentration  used  an equation developed by SitiMalkamah. The results of this study showed that the highest noise levels occur on Holidays / Saturday in Segment 2 (front Jl.MT.Haryono Lippo Plaza ) of 70.11 dB ( A ), this value is above the noise quality standardssuggested by No. KepMenLH . 48 in 1996 , which is 70 dB ( A ). In addition, the value also has  exceeded ofthe maximum allowed for trade in the region ( Zone C ) Regulation of the Minister of HealthNo.718/Men/Kes/XI/1987. Variables such as traffic volume is high and a large reflection angle, couldincrease noise, while low-speed, high barrier width and spacing can reduce the noise level.  For pollutantlevels, the value of 4065.33 μg/nm3 content of CO, NOx at 200-300 μg/nm3 , μg/nm3 PM at 0.0097 , stillbelow the National Ambient Air Quality Standards ( PP RI 41, 1999 ) , namely 30000 μg/nm3 , 400 and 150μg/nm3 μg/nm3. While the HC 400 and 700 μg/nm3 μg/nm3 has exceeded the standard of 160 μg/nm3 .Recommendation suggested to address the noise problem at Jl.MT . Haryono is the adoption of the CoreStrategy, which is the application of one direction on one arm of the intersection at peak hours , thusresulting intersection service level increases from E to C.Keywords: Noise Simulation, Pollutant Consentration Simulatio

    One cause of the disruption of traffic on urban road are pedestrian crossing the street. The bridge crossing is one of the transportation infrastructure which aims to minimize traffic discruption by pedestrian crossing. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of utilization and factors that effect the use of the pedestrian bridge in front of Mall Tatura, Palu city. The research data includes the volume of pedestrians using the bridge crossing and pedestrian volume arenot using pedestrians bridge crossing. Data was collected in the peakhours on weekdays and outside the working day. The data analysis using statistical methods includes Cronbach’s Alpha Test, Relative RankIndex Test and Correlation Spearman Rank Testing. The result of this study is to found that the utilization rate of the pedestrian bridge in front of the Mall Tatura, Palu city is not very helpful.  Factors effecting the use of pedestrian bridge in the study area includes geometric/dimensional of bridge crossing, distance to/from the bus stop, the texture of the floor, the travel time to/from the centre of activity, travel time to/from the bus stop infrastructure, and lighting on the bridge crossing
