    Get PDF

    Get PDF

Improving the Power Electronics Laboratory teaching/learning process: an interactive web tool

    Get PDF
European Higher Education Area; Power Electronics Laboratory; educational methods Resumen: The forthcoming European Higher Education Area implies an important change in the teaching/learning process: it is necessary to get students more involved as well as to promote their independence and active participation. To achieve this objective, the new teaching methodologies aimed at more effective and appropriate learning for professional practice involve the use of audiovisual, computer and multimedia tools on the part of lecturers. Therefore, a web tool, based on a content management system, has been developed for the teaching in Power Electronics Laboratory. Moreover, the use of these multimedia tools makes possible to promote the students independence. Finally, the use of this web tool results in a very significant increase in the motivation students.

Understand the fundamental role of the use of telecommunications in our environment, in daily use, in practical use and to be able to understand how information moves through the new information networks and their scope achieved during the development of this diploma where evidence below. In one of the best agreements that the University manages with Cisco where each student learns in the diploma to design and implement LAN-WAN networks, you can design and implement subnets of lesser and greater complexity and where through orientation to the conceptualization of configuration and resolution of routing protocols and link status

Distributivity of strong implications over conjunctive and disjunctive uninorms

    Get PDF
summary:This paper deals with implications defined from disjunctive uninorms UU by the expression I(x,y)=U(N(x),y)I(x,y)=U(N(x),y) where NN is a strong negation. The main goal is to solve the functional equation derived from the distributivity condition of these implications over conjunctive and disjunctive uninorms. Special cases are considered when the conjunctive and disjunctive uninorm are a tt-norm or a tt-conorm respectively. The obtained results show a lot of new solutions generalyzing those obtained in previous works when the implications are derived from tt-conorms

Yra1-bound RNA–DNA hybrids cause orientation-independent transcription– replication collisions and telomere instability

    Get PDF
R loops are an important source of genome instability, largely due to their negative impact on replication progression. Yra1/ALY is an abundant RNA-binding factor conserved from yeast to humans and required for mRNA export, but its excess causes lethality and genome instability. Here, we show that, in addition to ssDNA and ssRNA, Yra1 binds RNA–DNA hybrids in vitro and, when artificially overexpressed, can be recruited to chromatin in an RNA– DNA hybrid-dependent manner, stabilizing R loops and converting them into replication obstacles in vivo. Importantly, an excess of Yra1 increases R-loop-mediated genome instability caused by transcription–replication collisions regardless of whether they are codirectional or head-on. It also induces telomere shortening in telomerase-negative cells and accelerates senescence, consistent with a defect in telomere replication. Our results indicate that RNA–DNA hybrids form transiently in cells regardless of replication and, after stabilization by excess Yra1, compromise genome integrity, in agreement with a two-step model of R-loop-mediated genome instability. This work opens new perspectives to understand transcription-associated genome instability in repair-deficient cells, including tumoral cells.European Research Council ERC2014 AdG669898 TARLOOPMinisterio de Economía y Competitividad BFU2016-75058-PJunta de Andalucía PA12- BIO123
