Nkx2-3-A Slippery Slope From Development Through Inflammation Toward Hematopoietic Malignancies

The development of peripheral lymphoid tissues from the mesoderm is the result of a complex convergence combining lymphohematopoietic differentiation with the local specification of nonhematopoietic mesenchymal components. Although the various transcriptional regulators with fate-determining effects in diversifying the mobile leukocyte subsets have been thoroughly studied and identified, the tissue-specific determinants promoting the regional differentiation of resident mesenchyme are less understood. Of these factors, various members of the NK-class Nkx paralogues have emerged as key regulators for the organogenesis of spleen and mucosal lymphoid tissues, and recent data have also indicated their involvement in various pathological events, including gut inflammation and hematopoietic malignancies. Artificial Intelligence Predicted Overall Survival and Classified Mature B-Cell Neoplasms Based on Immuno-Oncology and Immune Checkpoint Panels

Artificial intelligence (AI) can identify actionable oncology biomarkers. This research integrates our previous analyses of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. We used gene expression and immunohistochemical data, focusing on the immune checkpoint, and added a new analysis of macrophages, including 3D rendering. The AI comprised machine learning (C5, Bayesian network, C&R, CHAID, discriminant analysis, KNN, logistic regression, LSVM, Quest, random forest, random trees, SVM, tree-AS, and XGBoost linear and tree) and artificial neural networks (multilayer perceptron and radial basis function). The series included chronic lymphocytic leukemia, mantle cell lymphoma, follicular lymphoma, Burkitt, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, marginal zone lymphoma, and multiple myeloma, as well as acute myeloid leukemia and pan-cancer series. AI classified lymphoma subtypes and predicted overall survival accurately. Oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes were highlighted (MYC, BCL2, and TP53), along with immune microenvironment markers of tumor-associated macrophages (M2-like TAMs), T-cells and regulatory T lymphocytes (Tregs) (CD68, CD163, MARCO, CSF1R, CSF1, PD-L1/CD274, SIRPA, CD85A/LILRB3, CD47, IL10, TNFRSF14/HVEM, TNFAIP8, IKAROS, STAT3, NFKB, MAPK, PD-1/PDCD1, BTLA, and FOXP3), apoptosis (BCL2, CASP3, CASP8, PARP, and pathway-related MDM2, E2F1, CDK6, MYB, and LMO2), and metabolism (ENO3, GGA3). O mito da mãe preta no imaginário literário de raça e mestiçagem cultural

A evocação nostálgica da mãe preta (liberada no Modernismo do rótulo de agente de contaminação) revela algumas das contradições do gesto legitimador das culturas e sujeitos afro-brasileiros e mestiços no início do século XX. No caso específico da mãe preta, constata-se a construção de um “outro” racial mitificado; ou seja, as marcas sociais e raciais marginalizadoras da mãe preta são atenuadas para que essa figura possa exemplificar a narrativa utópica da harmonia inter-racial do velho sistema agrário-patriarcal brasileiro. Histórias paranóicas, criados perversos no imaginário literário da Belle Époque tropical

Neste ensaio, busca-se explorar por meio do romance A viúva Simões (1995), da então consagrada escritora Júlia Lopes de Almeida, e de alguns manuais domésticos finisseculares o tráfico de representações da empregada doméstica no momento em que essa profissão emerge no país, ou seja, na passagem definitiva do serviço doméstico escravo ao assalariado. Vistas como sujas, criminosas, lascivas, supersticiosas, além de física e moralmente contagiosas, as domésticas se transformaram, aos olhos dos médicos higienistas, e subseqüentemente das classes dominantes, em um obstáculo ao processo de aburguesamento da vida doméstica que se queria impor na modernidade. Interessa-me precisamente examinar o uso estratégico, no romance de Júlia Lopes e nos manuais, do estereótipo da doméstica como invasora da privacidade e intimidade do lar (qualidades intrínsecas ao espaço doméstico burguês), assim como a inclusão nesses discursos da doméstica invejosa, e, pior, consumidora (desautorizada, claro) dos bens e hábitos de classe dos patrões, sobretudo das patroas. Os discursos sobre a domesticidade na Belle Époque revelam as contradições inerentes à representação literária da empregada doméstica: por um lado, ela foi nesses anos incorporada à literatura como signo de contaminação e violência; por outro, ela serviu como um contraponto necessário para a ascensão da mulher burguesa, e para a divisão social, e racial, do serviço doméstico

Der Wohnungsbau auf dem Gebiet der Bundesrepublik Deutschland 1945 bis 1989

After the Second World War the residential construction quickly becomes one of the leading sectors of the German economy. The first part of the dissertation shows the long-time patterns of residential construction and dates the turning points of the business cycles. It also analyses some structural developments like the change in size of buildings and flats and compares the years 1945 to 1989 with the decades before. The second and third part gives some explanations for the phenomena shown in the first part. Therefore the second part focuses on the housing policy and the institutions of residential construction. The third part analyses the influence of war damage, population and some macroeconomic determinants.Der Wohnungsbau wurde nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg rasch zu einem der wichtigsten Wirtschaftszweige in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Im ersten Teil der Arbeit werden die langfristigen Verläufe der Bautätigkeit dargestellt und die Wendepunkte der konjunkturellen Zyklen datiert. Zudem werden strukturelle Entwicklungen, etwa der Gebäude- und Wohnungsgrößen analysiert und der Zeitraum 1945 bis 1989 mit den vorangegangenen Jahren seit 1871 verglichen. Im zweiten und dritten Teil der Arbeit wird versucht, den im ersten Teil dargestellten Verlauf der Bautätigkeit zu erklären. Dabei konzentriert sich der zweite Teil auf die Wohnungspolitik und die Institutionen des Wohnungsbaus. Ao final, serão elencados alguns aspectos relevantes sobre a regulação do Marketing Multinível, bem como os principais aspectos que devem ser levados em consideração para que ninguém se torne a próxima vítima dos esquemas piramidais.This work collects the variety of definitions among the Network Marketing and pyramid schemes to compare them e better understand their differences and similarities. Besides, a review of the main academic papers and the most relevant cases of financial fraud by Ponzi schemes will be presented. At the end, some relevant aspects about the regulation of Multilevel Marketing will be listed, as well as the main aspects that should be taken into account so that nobody becomes the next victim of pyramid schemes
