    PGF2α (250 mcg d-cloprostenol) Effectiveness of two Schemes for Estrus Induction in Brahman Bovine Females with Lasting Anestrus.

    The reproductive behavior of Brahman breeding cows subject to estrus induction was assessed, at the “Rancho Bonito Farm”, Gamelotal area, Lara State, Venezuela. The experiment lasted 90 days, and was based on two estrus induction schemes (Progesterone + Estradiol Benzoate and Progesterone + PMSG). Following 72 h of treatment, 62.5 % of the  cows that received  P4  + PMSG  were fertilized; whereas the P4  + BE treatment induced fertilization of 25 % (P < 0.05). During the 90 days,  93.7 % of the cows that received P4  + PMSG, and 75 %  under  the P4  + BE treatment, were fertilized, which demonstrated the effectiveness of the schemes

    Se ev aluó  el comportamiento reproductivo de vacas Brahman de cría, sometidas a inducción de celos, en la finca “Rancho Bonito”, región Gamelotal del Estado Lara, Venezuela. El experimento duró 90 días y se basó en dos esquemas de inducción del celo: (Progesterona + Benzoato de Estradiol y Progesterona + PMSG). A las 72 h postrata-miento, se gestó el 62,5 % de las vacas que recibieron P4  + PMSG, mientras que con el tratamiento P 4  + BE se gestó el 25 % (P < 0,05).     This article explores how utopian visions are articulated by chavista activists in Venezuela through the practice of 'revolutionary self-making'. Drawing on ethnographic fieldwork conducted in the city of Valencia between 2008 and 2012, it aims to demonstrate how close attention to the formation of new moral and spiritual selves is an integral part of the way that chavistas enact and experience political protagonism. In doing so, the article seeks to provide a ground level view of utopian visions as they are manifested discursively and practically in everyday life

    El presente artículo tiene por finalidad presentar una reflexión acerca del auto liderazgo y su vinculación con la complejidad dentro del sector público. Para la realización del estudio se acudió a la técnica de la revisión bibliográfica y el análisis de contenido, bajo un enfoque cualitativo. En esta investigación se presentan las distintas perspectivas filosóficas del liderazgo para profundizar en el auto liderazgo como herramienta gerencial; se discute acerca de los principios del pensamiento complejo y la gerencia pública con el fin de concatenar las ventajas que ofrece el manejo del auto liderazgo en las organizaciones. Se concluye que el gerente público debe propiciar cambios en el diseño organizacional a través de la autorreflexión, el  autodescubrimiento así como el reconocimiento de la visión personal y la autoformación que permita el manejo de la realidad empresarial dentro de un contexto incierto, cambiante y sujeto a cambios constantes.This article aims at presenting a reflection on the self-leadership and its relationship with the complexity within the public sector. Literature review and content analysis techniques were based on the qualitative approach. In this research the different philosophical perspectives of leadership are presented to reinforce self-leadership as a management tool. The principles of complex and public management are discussed in order to relate the advantages offered by self-leadership management in organizations. As a conclusion, the public manager should bring about changes in organizational design through self-reflection; self-discovery and recognition of personal vision and self-training that allow management of business reality in an uncertain and changing context, subject to constant change
