    Anexo 1 (Procedimiento de incorporación interna) - Anexo 2 (Check-list de Verificación)Este trabajo tiene como fin comprender y analizar políticas y estrategias utilizadas en el proceso de selección de personal para cubrir vacantes en el área de Trademarketing de la empresa “Laboratorios Siegfried S.A.S”., y con ello poder identificar las falencias presentadas en el proceso, hallar las mejores alternativas para optimizarlo y brindar las recomendaciones pertinentes que contribuyan al mejoramiento del área de Talento Humano. A través de un método de investigación Cualitativa, basada en la obtención de información y observación directa y con entrevistas realizadas a la Gerente de Talento Humano se encontró que el proceso de selección de candidatos se realiza a través de agentes externos y de forma interna en el área de Talento Humano, donde se eligen a los candidatos adecuados que cumplan los requisitos para que ocupen los diferentes cargos y se logren los objetivos propuestos por la empresa. Del análisis de la información se pudo evidenciar, que la mayor falencia e incidencia en la rotación de personal en el área de Trademarketing, se da con el personal vinculado a través de agencias externas (90%), por lo tanto se recomienda fortalecer el área de Talento Humano de la empresa y que sea esta la encargada de realizar todos los procesos de vinculación, con unas políticas, procesos y procedimientos claros, eficaces y eficientes que permitan encontrar los mejores candidatos y con los mejores perfiles que requiere la empresa Laboratorios Siegfried S.A.S.The purpose of this work is to understand and analyze policies and strategies used in the personnel selection process to fill vacancies in the Trademarketing area of the company “Laboratorios Siegfried SAS”, and thus be able to identify the shortcomings presented in the process, find the best alternatives to optimize it and provide the pertinent recommendations that contribute to the improvement of the Human Talent area. Through a Qualitative research method, based on obtaining information and direct observation and with interviews with the Human Talent Manager, it was found that the personnel selection process is carried out through external agents and internally in the Human Talent area, where suitable candidates are chosen who meet the requirements to occupy the different positions and achieve the objectives proposed by the company. From the analysis of the information, it was possible to show that the greatest deficiency and incidence in the turnover of personnel in the Trademarketing area, occurs with personnel linked through external agencies (90%), therefore it is recommended to strengthen the area of Human Talent of the company and that it is in charge of carrying out all the linking processes, with clear, effective and efficient policies, processes and procedures that allow finding the best candidates and with the best profiles required by the company Siegfried SAS Laboratorie

    Femtosecond Two-Photon Absorption Spectroscopy Of Copper Indium Sulfide Quantum Dots: A Structure-Optical Properties Relationship

    We have interpreted the two-photon absorption spectrum of water-soluble copper indium sulfide (CIS) QDs with stoichiometry 0.18 (Cu), 0.42 (In), and 2 (S) and an average diameter of approximately 2.6 nm. For that, we employed the wavelength-tunable femtosecond Z-scan technique and the parabolic effective-mass approximation model, in which the excitonic transition energies were phenomenologically corrected due to the stoichiometry of the nanocrystal. This model considers a conduction band and three valence sub-bands allowing excitonic transitions via centrosymmetric (Δl = ±1, where l is the angular momentum of the absorbing state) and non-centrosymmetric (Δl = 0) channels. In such case, this became relevant because the CIS QDs with chalcopyrite crystalline structure is a non-centrosymmetric semiconductor. Thus, our experimental results pointed out two 2 PA allowed bands located at 715 nm (2hv = 3.47 eV) and 625 nm (2hv = 3.97 eV) with cross sections of (6.3 ± 1.0) x 102 GM and (4.5 ± 0.7) x 102 GM, respectively. According to the theoretical model, these 2 PA bands can be ascribed to the 1P1/2(h3) → 1S3/2(e) (lower energy band) and 1P1/2(hheavy) → 1S3/2(e) (90%)/(10%)1P1/2(hsplit-off) → 1P3/2(e) (higher energy band) excitonic transitions. A good agreement (magnitude and spectral position) between the experimental and theoretical data were obtained. However, our experimental data suggest that the higher-energy 2 PA band may have other contributions due to the mixing between the heavy- and the light-hole bands, which the effective mass model does not take into consideration

    Tranexamic acid attenuates inflammatory response in cardiopulmonary bypass surgery through blockade of fibrinolysis: a case control study followed by a randomized double-blind controlled trial

    INTRODUCTION: Extracorporeal circulation induces hemostatic alterations that lead to inflammatory response (IR) and postoperative bleeding. Tranexamic acid (TA) reduces fibrinolysis and blood loss after cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). However, its effects on IR and vasoplegic shock (VS) are not well known and elucidating these effects was the main objective of this study. METHODS: A case control study was carried out to determine factors associated with IR after CPB. Patients undergoing elective CPB surgery were randomly assigned to receive 2 g of TA or placebo (0.9% saline) before and after intervention. We performed an intention-to-treat analysis, comparing the incidence of IR and VS. We also analyzed several biological parameters related to inflammation, coagulation, and fibrinolysis systems. We used SPSS version 12.2 for statistical purposes. RESULTS: In the case control study, 165 patients were studied, 20.6% fulfilled IR criteria, and the use of TA proved to be an independent protective variable (odds ratio 0.38, 95% confidence interval 0.18 to 0.81; P < 0.01). The clinical trial was interrupted. Fifty patients were randomly assigned to receive TA (24) or placebo (26). Incidence of IR was 17% in the TA group versus 42% in the placebo group (P = 0.047). In the TA group, we observed a significant reduction in the incidence of VS (P = 0.003), the use of norepinephrine (P = 0.029), and time on mechanical ventilation (P = 0.018). These patients showed significantly lower D-dimer, plasminogen activator inhibitor 1, and creatine-kinase levels and a trend toward lower levels of soluble tumor necrosis factor receptor and interleukin-6 within the first 24 hours after CPB. CONCLUSION: The use of TA attenuates the development of IR and VS after CPB. TRIAL REGISTRATION NUMBER: ISRCTN05718824

    On the deviation from a Curie–Weiss behavior of the ZnFe2O4 susceptibility: A combined ab-initio and Monte-Carlo approach

    We present a numerical study of the magnetic properties of ZnFe2O4 using Monte-Carlo simulations performed considering a Heisenberg model with antiferromagnetic couplings determined by Density Functional Theory. Our calculations predict that the magnetic susceptibility has a cusp-like peak centered at 13 K, and follows a Curie–Weiss behavior above this temperature with a high and negative Curie–Weiss temperature (ΘCW=−170 K). These results agree with the experimental data once extrinsic contributions that give rise to the deviation from a Curie–Weiss law are discounted. Additionally, we discuss the spin configuration of ZnFe2O4 below its ordering temperature, where the system presents a high degeneracy.Fil: Melo Quintero, Jhon Jaither.     High serum levels of tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase-1 during the first week of a malignant middle cerebral artery infarction in non-surviving patients

    Background: Higher circulating levels of tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinases (TIMP)-1 early after ischemic stroke have been associated with lower survival. The objectives of this study were to determine serum TIMP-1 levels during the first week of a severe cerebral infarction in surviving and non-surviving patients, and whether those levels during the first week could be used as a mortality biomarker for these patients. Methods: We included patients with severe malignant middle cerebral artery infarction (MMCAI) defined as computer tomography showing ischaemic changes in more than 50% of the middle cerebral artery territory and Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) ≤ 8. We measured serum levels of matrix metalloproteinases (MMP)-9 and TIMP-1. End-point study was 30-day mortality. Results: We found higher TIMP-1 concentrations at days 1 (p < 0.001), 4 (p = 0.001), and 8 (p = 0.03) of MMCAI in nonurviving (n = 34) than in surviving (n = 34) patients. We found lower serum MMP-9 concentrations at day 1 (p = 0.03) of MMCAI and no significant differences at days 4 and 8. ROC curve analysis of TIMP-1 concentrations performed at days 1, 4, and 8 of MMCAI showed an area under curve to predict 30-day mortality of 81% (p < 0.001), 80% (p < 0.001) and 72% (p = 0.07) respectively. Conclusions: The new findings of our study were that non-surviving MMCAI patients showed higher serum TIMP-1 levels during the first week of MMCAI that surviving patients, and those levels during the first week of MMCAI could be used as mortality biomarkers

    Caracterización de los funcionarios del CBA: diferentes biomarcadores, sueño y componente cognitivo

    Introduction: The application of different biomarker, sleep component and cognitive function, allow to characterize the study population in a reliable way, allowing to generate a health profile from different branches. Objective: To characterize the officials of the Centro de Biotecnología Agropecuaria from different biomarkers, sleep and cognitive component to determine their level of health risk Materials and Methods: 31 subjects, 13 men and 18 women, with ages between 20 and 62 years, were studied. The morphological component was evaluated with the use of the ImbodyS10® equipment, the Athens and MoCa tests,for the sleep and cognitive the variables. Results. The results are reported through means, deviations, of themorphological component and the results of the sleep and cognitive tests are reported in a frequency table according to sex.Conclusions. The evaluation of the morphological, sleep and cognitive components shows a risk of sufferingmetabolic and cardiovascular problems in the study population.Introducción: la aplicación de diferentes biomarcadores, componente de sueño y función cognitiva, permiten caracterizar la población de estudio de forma confiable, permitiendo generar un perfil de salud desde diferentes ramas. Objetivo: caracterizar los funcionarios del Centro de Biotecnología Agropecuaria desde diferentes biomarcadores, sueño y componente cognitivo para determinar su nivel de riesgo en salud. Materiales y Métodos: se estudiaron 31 sujetos, 13 hombres y 18 mujeres, con edades contenidas entre 20 y 62 años. Se evaluó el componente morfológico con el uso del equipo InbodyS10®, prueba de Atenas y MoCA para las variables de sueño y cognitivo. Conclusiones: la evaluación del componente morfológico, sueño y cognitivo muestra un riesgo de sufrir problemas metabólicos y cardio vasculares en la población de estudio

    Adaptación de las asignaturas básicas de primer curso de la ETSI Navales de la UPM: Actividades 2008-2009

    En el marco de la reforma de las titulaciones con motivo del Espacio Europeo de Educación un grupo de profesores hemos coordinado, durante el curso 2008-2009, todas las asignaturas básicas de primer curso y una más de segundo curso en la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Navales. Las actividades realizadas son: a) Coordinación de todas las asignaturas básicas de primer curso, con reuniones periódicas de coordinación horizontal y el establecimiento de una página web de moodle para profesores como espacio para el trabajo cooperativo. Particularmente importante es el establecimiento de un calendario conjunto de pruebas de evaluación continua. b) Redacción de guías de aprendizaje, con un formato común para todas las asignaturas, incluyendo los objetivos formativos, los contenidos, las actividades formativas, los enlaces y la bibliografía. c) Establecimiento de una plataforma de teleeducación común para todas las asignaturas, uno de los objetivos fundamentales del proyecto, ya que coexistían dos plataformas distintas. Igualmente importante ha sido reforzar los contenidos y las actividades que se podían realizar en la plataforma. d) Seguimiento del tiempo dedicado por los alumnos, hemos ido siguiendo el tiempo dedicado por los alumnos a las distintas asignaturas, para detectar si el tiempo que se dedica está en los márgenes establecidos en los créditos ECTS. Igualmente, hemos hecho dos encuestas a la mitad de cada semestre, para recoger las opiniones de los alumnos sobre las asignaturas y sobre los aspectos relevantes del proyecto. e) Organización de actividades de nivelación, para los alumnos de nuevo ingreso, con la organización de cursos cero y la participación y coordinación en la Plataforma de Punto de inicio de la UPM. f) Organización de actividades formativas, para poder llevar a cabo estas tareas, hemos organizado, en colaboración con el Centro y el Gabinete de Tele-Educación (GATE) actividades formativas relacionadas con la plataforma moodle, métodos de evaluación y de formación en competencias.En la presentación haremos una descripción de las actividades realizadas, así como una primera evaluación de las mismas. Por último, describiremos las tareas a desarrollar en los próximos cursos

    Association between serum soluble CD40 ligand levels and mortality in patients with severe sepsis

    INTRODUCTION: CD40 Ligand (CD40L) and its soluble counterpart (sCD40L) are proteins that exhibit prothrombotic and proinflammatory properties on binding to their cell surface receptor CD40. The results of small clinical studies suggest that sCD40L levels could play a role in sepsis; however, there are no data on the association between sCD40L levels and mortality of septic patients. Thus, the aim of this study was to determine whether circulating sCD40L levels could be a marker of adverse outcome in a large cohort of patients with severe sepsis. METHODS: This was a multicenter, observational and prospective study carried out in six Spanish intensive care units. Serum levels of sCD40L, tumour necrosis factor-alpha and interleukin-10, and plasma levels of tissue factor were measured in 186 patients with severe sepsis at the time of diagnosis. Serum sCD40L was also measured in 50 age- and sex-matched controls. Survival at 30 days was used as the endpoint. RESULTS: Circulating sCD40L levels were significantly higher in septic patients than in controls (P = 0.01), and in non-survivors (n = 62) compared to survivors (n = 124) (P = 0.04). However, the levels of CD40L were not different regarding sepsis severity. Logistic regression analysis showed that sCD40L levels >3.5 ng/mL were associated with higher mortality at 30 days (odds ratio = 2.89; 95% confidence interval = 1.37 to 6.07; P = 0.005). The area under the curve of sCD40L levels >3.5 ng/mL as predictor of mortality at 30 days was 0.58 (95% CI = 0.51 to 0.65; P = 0.03). CONCLUSIONS: In conclusion, circulating sCD40L levels are increased in septic patients and are independently associated with mortality in these patients; thus, its modulation could represent an attractive therapeutic target
