Judicial sale of a ship and distribution of the proceeds to creditors represent the final chapter of any in rem proceeding (or its equivalent in civil law jurisdictions). The judicial sale must secure the best possible price for the ship, permitting more creditors can satisfy their credits. This finality will only be achieved if the sale confers title a ‘clean title’ on the purchaser, extinguishing all rights and interests over the ship. This process shall ensure that the purchaser may deregister the ship from its old flag and re-register under new ownership in a new flag and sail worldwide without any concern of re-arrest. This article provides some notes on the UNCITRAL Draft Instrument on judicial sale of ships focused on the conditions for a judicial sale of a ship conducted in one State Party to have effects in another Contracting StateLa venta judicial de un buque representa el capítulo final de cualquier procedimiento judicial por la reclamación de deudas marítimas.
The legal appearance is not a known theory in Colombia. Although in practice it occurs in legal traffic, neither the doctrine nor the jurisprudence have stopped to develop it, much less, we find it in our legislation. This does not mean that we are completely oblivious to it; Suffice it to say for the moment that the phenomenon of appearance occurs in many cases
Innovations in ex vivo light sheet fluorescence microscopy
Light Sheet Fluorescence Microscopy (LSFM) has revolutionized how optical imaging of biological specimens can be performed as this technique allows to produce 3D fluorescence images of entire samples with a high spatiotemporal resolution. In this manuscript, we aim to provide readers with an overview of the field of LSFM on ex vivo samples. Recent advances in LSFM architectures have made the technique widely accessible and have improved its acquisition speed and resolution, among other features. These developments are strongly supported by quantitative analysis of the huge image volumes produced thanks to the boost in computational capacities, the advent of Deep Learning techniques, and by the combination of LSFM with other imaging modalities. Namely, LSFM allows for the characterization of biological structures, disease manifestations and drug effectivity studies. This information can ultimately serve to develop novel diagnostic procedures, treatments and even to model the organs physiology in healthy and pathological conditions. This work was produced with the support of the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (TEC2016-78052-R, RTC-2017-6600-1, PID2019-109820RB-100, FPU19/02854)

The system performs from signal preprocessing to feature extraction, with results of the HDL description of the system tested on a FPGA against a golden reference, using real data taken from a protected rain forest area. Final classification of signals, using HMM, is in the final stages of testing. Some post-place-and-route results of the code ported to a commercial 130nm CMOS technology are also given
Wheat sprouts are a source of carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, essential nutrients
and bioactive compounds that have been linked to the prevention and treatment of
illnesses. The presence of these compounds in wheat sprouts may be increased by
means of the application of organic acids during the growth stage. The objective of this
investigation was to evaluate the effect of a sprayed application of citric acid (0, 10-2,
10-3, 10-4 and 10-5 M) on the total antioxidant capacity and total content of phenolic
compounds and flavonoids in wheat sprouts. A completely randomized design was
used, consisting of six repetitions. The results showed that phenolic compounds, flavonoids
and antioxidant capacity increased significantly with the application of a 10-2 M
foliar spray as compared to the control. As such, the spraying of low concentrations of
secondary metabolism-inducing molecules during the sprout development process is a
useful and effective method to stimulate the biosynthesis of bioactive phytochemicals
and improve the nutraceutical quality of wheat sprouts.
Fil: Preciado-Rangel, Pablo.

COSMO-based/Aspen Plus process simulation of the aromatic extraction from pyrolysis gasoline using the {[4empy][NTf2] + [emim][DCA]} ionic liquid mixture
The ionic liquids (ILs) have been widely studied as potential replacements of conventional solvents in the extraction of aromatic hydrocarbons from alkanes. However, most of the literature is focused in obtaining liquid-liquid equilibria experimental data without studying the complete extraction and IL regeneration process. In this paper, a computer-aided methodology combining COSMO-based molecular simulations and Aspen Plus process simulations has been used to study the extraction process of aromatic hydrocarbons from pyrolysis gasoline employing a binary mixture of 1-ethyl-4-methylpyridinium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide ([4empy][NTf2]) and the 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium dicyanamide ([emim][DCA]) ILs as solvent. An extensive comparison (more than 600 points) between experimental data and the predictions obtained by the COSMO-based thermodynamic model of liquid–liquid and vapor–liquid equilibria and ILs physical properties was made for validation purposes. Process simulations were performed in three system configurations: with one, two, or three flash distillations in the IL recovery section. The potential advantage of using binary IL-IL mixture as extracting solvent was studied in the whole range of composition. The configuration with three flash distillations and the binary IL-IL mixture with a 75% of [4empy][NTf2] were selected as the optimal conditions to increase aromatic recovery and purity, improving the separation performance respect to the neat ILsThe authors are grateful to Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad (MINECO) of Spain for financial support of Projects CTQ2014-52288-R and CTQ2014–53655-R and to Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid for the Project S2013/MAE-2800.
