Emitter discharge variability of subsurface drip irrigation in uniform soils: effect on water-application uniformity

Emitter discharge of subsurface drip irrigation (SDI) decreases as a result of the overpressure in the soil water at the discharge orifice. In this paper, the variation in dripper discharge in SDI laterals is studied. First, the emitter coefficient of flow variation CVq was measured in laboratory experiments with drippers of 2 and 4 L/h that were laid both on the soil and beneath it. Additionally, the soil pressure coefficient of variation CVhs was measured in buried emitters. Then, the irrigation uniformity was simulated in SDI and surface irrigation laterals under the same operating conditions and uniform soils; sandy and loamy. CVq was similar for the compensating models of both the surface and subsurface emitters. However, CVq decreased for the 2-L/h non-compensating model in the loamy soil. This shows a possible self-regulation of non-compensating emitter discharge in SDI, due to the interaction between effects of emitter discharge and soil pressure. This resulted in the irrigation uniformity of SDI non-compensating emitters to be greater than surface drip irrigation. The uniformity with pressure-compensating emitters would be similar in both cases, provided the overpressures in SDI are less than or equal to the compensation range lower limit

Influencia del marketing deportivo en la gestión de marca de los clubes profesionales de fútbol de la Región La Libertad 2021

La presente investigación consideró como objetivo general de determinar la influencia del marketing deportivo en la Gestión de Marca de los clubes profesionales de Fútbol de la región La Libertad 2021, desarrollando una investigación de tipo no experimental, descriptiva, correlacional, en una muestra de los dos principales clubes profesionales Deportivo Carlos A. Mannucci y Club Deportivo Universidad César Vallejo y a 384 hinchas de ambos clubes; se empleó como técnica a la entrevista y encuesta, con los instrumentos de guía de entrevista y cuestionarios; los resultados refieren que, tanto el marketing deportivo como la gestión de marca en ambos clubes aún está en desarrollo; se estableció que las dimensiones del marketing deportivo influyen significativamente en la gestión de marca, al obtener valores de significancia de 0.000 12,5916 (chi cuadrado tabulado).The present investigation considered as a general objective to determine the influence of sports marketing in the Brand Management of the professional football clubs of the La Libertad 2021 region, developing a non-experimental, descriptive, correlational investigation, in a sample of the two main professional clubs Deportivo Carlos A. A ringed pole-on outflow from DO Tauri revealed by ALMA

We present new ALMA Band 6 observations including the CO (2-1) line and 1.3 mmcontinuum emission from the surroundings of the young stellar object DO Tauri. TheALMA CO molecular data show three different series of rings at different radial ve-locities. These rings have radii around 220 au and 800 au. We make individual fits tothe rings and note that their centers are aligned with DO Tauri and its optical high-velocity jet. In addition, we notice that the velocity of these structures increases withthe separation from the young star. We discuss the data under the hypothesis that therings represent velocity cuts through three outflowing shells that are possibly drivenby a wide-angle wind, dragging the environment material along a direction close to theline of sight (i= 19◦). We estimate the dynamical ages, the mass, the momentum andthe energy of each individual outflow shell and those of the whole outflow. The resultsare in agreement with those found in outflows from Class II sources. We make a roughestimate for the size of the jet/wind launching region, which needs to be of.15 au.We report the physical characteristics of DO Tauri?s disk continuum emission (almostface-on and with a projected major axis in the north-south direction) and its velocitygradient orientation (north-south), indicative of disk rotation for a 1-2 Mcentral star.Finally we show an HST [SII] image of the optical jet and report a measurement of itsorientation in the plane of the sky.Fil: Fernandez Lopez, Manuel. Theoretical parameters of trailing vortices versus aspect ratio of wing models

We perform 2D-PIV measurements to characterize trailing vortices in NACA0012 wing models for aspect ratios ranging between 1 and 2.5, and for chord-based Reynolds numbers from 7000 to 40000. Firstly, and regarding the influence of the Reynolds number, the increase of this dimensionless parameter generates a more concentrated and intense vortex, presenting, therefore, an increase in all its characteristic magnitudes: maximum azimuthal velocity and vorticity. Secondly, the greater the aspect ratio, the greater the vortex strength is observed. Thirdly, the radial location of the peak of the azimuthal velocity has a strong decay as the aspect ratio increases for Re=7000, but it changes its trend for Re=40000.Universidad de Málaga. La temprana detección de los periodos de fluctuación de los ciclos económicos ha sido la mayor preocupación de los inversionistas, hombres de negocios y los generadores de política económica. Una de las formas de realizar esta detección, es mediante los indicadores coincidentes que son en su mayoría diseñados para detectar cambios direccionales en el agregado de la actividad económica y también por medio de los indicadores adelantados que se anticipan ante los movimientos de los ciclos económicos, y sirven como una señal preventiva de próximos declives o avances en los ciclos

Biomechanics analysis in coffee harvesting activity in Colombia

During this case study, the risks of posture, strength and repetition associated with the activity of manual coffee harvesting were evaluated. The sample studied was 26 volunteers who participated in the completion of a Nordic questionnaire, 10 of these were evaluated using observational, and postural tools and 8 people participated in the biomechanical evaluation of postural and muscular load using electromyography and inertial. Seven muscles and two body segments of the upper limbs were evaluated. The goal was to assess the working conditions of coffee manual harvesting considering ergonomics. The results of the discomforts were manifested in the Nordic questionnaire where it was evident that throughout a workday harvesting coffee, the discomfort focuses on the back, lower back, hands, and feet. In the muscle load evaluation was identified that the muscles with the highest activity were the Extensor, Flexor Carpi Ulnar and the trapezius. On average, their muscular activity was 20% of their maximum volunteer contraction when performing the statistical analysis. -Tics showed a greater correlation in muscle activation between the Carpi Radial Extender and the trapezius. In the postural evaluation of the body segments from the coffee harvesters evaluated, it was identified that they only maintain between 10% and 20% in neutral ranges, so they are always in risky conditions. In conclusion, it is necessary to carry out interventions in the Colombian coffee sector not only because of these evaluated conditions but also for the conditions in their work environment.Durante este caso de estudio se evaluaron los riesgos de postura, fuerza y repetición asociados a la actividad de recolección manual de café. La población estudiada fue de 26 personas que participaron voluntariamente para la realización de un cuestionario nórdico, 10 de estos se les evaluó por medio de herramientas posturales observacionales y 8 personas que se ofrecieron para la evaluación de carga postural y muscular evaluadas con electromiografía e inerciales respectivamente. Se evaluaron 7 músculos y 2 segmentos corporales de los miembros superiores. El objetivo fue realizar una evaluación de las condiciones de trabajo de los recolectores de café haciendo uso de herramientas de ergonomía. En los resultados de las incomodidades manifestadas en el cuestionario nórdico por los trabajadores se evidenció que a lo largo de una jornada de trabajo recolectan-do café la incomodidad reportada se centra en las partes del cuerpo en espalda, espalda baja, manos y pies. Respecto a la carga muscular esta fue evaluada y se identificó que los músculos con mayor actividad son el Extensor y Flexor Carpi Ulnar y el trapecio en promedio, para todos los sujetos se acercan a un 20% de la actividad muscular, al realizar el análisis estadístico se evidenció mayor correlación en la activación muscular entre el Extensor Carpi Radial y el trapecio. En la evaluación de los segmentos corporales se identificó que mantienen solamente entre el 10% y 20% en rangos neutros, por lo que siempre se encuentran en condiciones de riesgo. Como conclusión es necesario realizar intervenciones en el sector cafetero colombiano no solamente por estas condiciones evaluadas sino por condiciones del entorno de trabajo
