    The purpose of this study is to determine the level of compliance among IPTS staff towards safety and health at the workplace. The respondents comprised of 67 academic and non-academic staff who work in faculties/ departments that use high risk equipment or substances, namely Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Science Lab Department, Maintenance Department and Examination Department. Questionnaires were used as the main instrument for obtaining data for this study. The data were analyzed descriptively based on frequency, percentage and mean in order to determine the level of compliance of the respondents towards safety and health. The results showed that IPTS staff had an average level of compliance of safety and health with the overall mean score of 3.54. Aspects of safety and health studied were safety policy, safety procedures, safety equipment, safety training, safety committee and commitment as well as work environment. Finally, this study concludes that in order to raise the level of compliance towards safety and health, the University's administration should intensify the frequency of training programmes and safety and health awareness campaigns. At the same time, provide continuous or periodic safety and health programmes and tighten on the implementation of safety and health procedures may prove to be useful

    Analysis to Reduce Potential Dead Stock of Maintenance Repair & Operation (MRO) Inventory in PT Badak NGL

    Abstract. PT Badak NGL is a non profit company to operate the Bontang LNG Plant in East Kalimantan, the main job is to liquify the natural feed gas to become the Liquified Natural Gas (LNG). As the operator with at cost scheme, the efficiency and effectiveness of budget utiliziation is one of PT Badak NGL’s performance KPI, including the efficiency of material Inventory stored in Warehouse. PT Badak NGL’s main inventory consist only the Maintenance Repair & Operation (MRO) material such as chemical and sparepart of equipment. According to the 2017 benchmarking result, Inventory performance of PT Badak NGL is below the average, especially on the Inventory Value aspect. Last 5 years data shows that total Inventory Value is around US$ 35 Million, but 73% of them is classified as the Potential Dead Stock (PDS); materials that more than 5 years stay in the warehouse. The Turnover Ratio is around 70% which means, only 70% come out (utilized) while the remaining 30% stays in warehouse, this happen every years and makes contribution to the PDS. According to this condition, the business problem in this paper is “Inefficient MRO Inventory due to large PDS Materials over the years in PT Badak NGL. Using the Ishikawa (fishbone) Diagram and Focus Group Discussion, the main contributor of the problem is the Inventory Method and Policies. Several alternative solutions have been developed and using Kepner-Tregoe Decision Analysis there are two solutions that should be conducted immediately to reduce the PDS; Apply Impairment Method and Recategorize Materials. Potential Problem Analysis is also conducted for those two solutions to anticipate any potential problem occurred and the choice of contingency plans.     Pengetahuan Penjaga Terhadap Amalan Penjagaan Ulser Tekanan Warga Tua Terlantar di Rumah

    Tujuan kajian ini dijalankan adalah untuk mengenal pasti tahap pengetahuan penjaga terhadap amalan penjagaan ulser tekanan warga tua terlantar di rumah. Seramai 127 orang penjaga telah dipilih sebagai responden dalam kajian ini. Kaedah kajian ini menggunakan kajian tinjauan dan instrumen yang digunakan ialah borang soal selidik. Data dalam kajian ini diuji dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif yang melibatkan skor min dan sisihan piawai. Data dianalisis menggunakan perisian Statistical Package Social Science (SPSS) versi 22. Hasil kajian mendapati tahap pengetahuan penjaga terhadap amalan penjagaan ulser tekanan warga tua terlantar adalah rendah. Implikasi kajian ini adalah mencadangkan pembinaan satu amalan baik penjagaan ulser tekanan yang boleh diguna pakai oleh penjaga

    Alliin as a Natural Bioactive from Single Bulb Garlic (Allium sativum) for Nitric Oxide (NO) Increasing in Atherosclerotic Process Based on Insilico Screening

    Atherosclerosis is a chronic inflammatory disease in the arterial wall mediated by proinflammatory factor. Atherosclerosis cause heart disease and stroke is generally believed to be preventable. The single bulb garlic is one of the local plants known as the medicinal plant in Indonesia. Garlic contains alliin compounds as antiatherosclerotic agent. This study aimed to determine the potential of active compound of single bulb garlic as an antioxidant that improve endothelial function by increasing nitric oxide (NO) to increase vasodilation. The bioinformatics webserver used in this study are: Pubchem, Pharmmapper, Swiss Target Prediction, Superpred, Uniprot, and Protein Data Bank. Docking software using PyRx, PyMOL and Discovery Studio. Based on these steps, it was found that alliin interacts with nitric oxide synthase (NOS) through hydrogen and alkyl bonds. Alliin is effective as an inhibitor of NOS based on binding afinity (-5.4 kcal / mol) although no more negative than an aspirin inhibitor based on binding afinity (-6.5 kcal / mol). Based on the docking results, it is found that alliin is effective as a potential drug to decreased atherosclerosis.</p

    Edukasi Pemanfaatan Jamur Tiram dalam Pemberdayaan Forest Bathing di Desa Wisata Lerep Ungaran Barat Kabupaten Semarang

    Jamur tiram putih (Pleurotus ostreatus) merupakan jamur yang dapat dikonsumsi sebagai sumber protein dan vitamin D. Kandungan gizi yang tinggi dan harga yang relatif murah menjadikan jamur tiram putih sebagai alternatif diversifikasi pangan yang perlu dioptimalkan pengolahannya. Berbagai penelitian telah menyimpulkan bahwa jamur tiram putih dapat ditingkatkan kandungan vitamin D dengan paparan sinar matahari. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah agar Kader Pokdarwis Rukun Santoso, Desa Lerep, Ungaran Barat dapat meningkat pengetahuannya tentang manfaat dan pengolahan jamur tiram serta mampu meningkat kesehatannya karena edukasi dikemas sebagai kegiatan pemberdayaan forest bathing. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah edukasi pada 20 kader kesehatan dari Pokdarwis. Sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan edukasi dan pemberdayaan forest bathing, peserta diuji tingkat pengetahuan serta diperiksa kesehatan paru dan jantung. Perbedaan skor tingkat pengetahuan dan kesehatan paru dan jantung sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan diuji dengan uji T berpasangan. Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan yang signifikan (p value 0,05) dari hasil pemeriksaan kesehatan jantung peserta. White oyster mushroom is a mushroom that can be consumed as a source of protein and vitamin D. High nutritional content and relatively cheap price make white oyster mushroom an alternative food diversification that needs to be optimized for processing. Various studies have concluded that white oyster mushrooms can increase their vitamin D content by exposure to sunlight. The purpose of this activity is for Pokdarwis Cadres Rukun Santoso, Lerep Village, West Ungaran to increase their knowledge about the benefits and processing of oyster mushrooms and to improve their health because education is packaged as forest bathing empowerment activities. The method of implementing this activity was educating to 20 health cadres from Pokdarwis. Before and after the education and forest bathing empowerment activities, participants were tested for their level of knowledge and checked for lung and heart health. Differences in knowledge level and lung and heart health scores before and after the activity were tested by paired t test. The test results show that there was a significant difference (p value 0.05) from the participants heart health examination results

    Multiple Linear Regression and Deep Learning in Body Temperature Detection and Mask Detection

    In this new normal era, many activities began to operate again, such as offices, malls, etc. This creates a potential mass crowd. The public must follow health protocols as recommended by the government, including wearing masks and checking the temperature to anticipate the spread of the coronavirus. This study tested a tool that included image processing and artificial intelligence to help implement health protocols as recommended by the government. This tool connects Raspberry PI, Thermal Camera (amg8833), Pi Camera, an ultrasonic sensor with Multiple Linear Regression and Deep Learning algorithms. The purpose of this tool is to detect body temperature and detect the use of masks. The system will check on the pi camera frame whether the person is wearing a mask or not. The system is trained using the Deep Learning method to detect the use of masks. The system will check the temperature of the human body and the distance between humans and the tool. Temperature and distance data are entered in multiple linear regression formulas to get more accurate results. The processed results of the system will be displayed on the monitor screen if detected using a mask and the normal temperature will be green and if it is not detected it will be red and give a warning sound. The data is sent to the server and displayed via the web. We found that this tool succeeded in detecting body temperature within a distance of 1 to 3 meters with an accuracy of 99.49%, detecting people using masks with an accuracy of 94.71%, and detecting people not wearing masks with an accuracy of 97.7%.Di era new normal ini banyak aktivitas yang mulai beroperasi kembali, seperti perkantoran, mall, dll. Hal ini berpotensi menimbulkan kerumunan massa. Masyarakat wajib mengikuti protokol kesehatan yang direkomendasikan pemerintah, antara lain memakai masker dan mengecek suhu tubuh untuk mengantisipasi penyebaran virus corona. Studi ini menguji alat yang mencakup pemrosesan gambar dan kecerdasan buatan untuk membantu menerapkan protokol kesehatan seperti yang direkomendasikan oleh pemerintah. Alat ini menghubungkan Raspberry PI, Thermal Camera (amg8833), Pi Camera, sensor ultrasonik dengan algoritma Multiple Linear Regression dan Deep Learning. Tujuan dari alat ini adalah untuk mendeteksi suhu tubuh dan mendeteksi penggunaan masker. Sistem akan memeriksa pada frame kamera pi apakah orang tersebut memakai masker atau tidak. Sistem dilatih menggunakan metode Deep Learning untuk mendeteksi penggunaan masker. Sistem akan memeriksa suhu tubuh manusia dan jarak antara manusia dengan alat. Data suhu dan jarak dimasukkan dalam rumus regresi linier berganda untuk mendapatkan hasil yang lebih akurat. Hasil olahan sistem akan ditampilkan pada layar monitor jika terdeteksi menggunakan masker dan suhu normal akan berwarna hijau dan jika tidak terdeteksi akan berwarna merah dan memberikan suara peringatan. Data dikirim ke server dan ditampilkan melalui web. Kami menemukan alat ini berhasil mendeteksi suhu tubuh dalam jarak 1 hingga 3 meter dengan akurasi 99,49%, mendeteksi orang yang menggunakan masker dengan akurasi 94,71%, dan mendeteksi orang yang tidak menggunakan masker dengan akurasi 97,7%

    PENGARUH EKSTRAK DAUN JARAK MERAH (Jatropha gossypiifolia L.) TERHADAP KADAR TUMOR NECROSIS FACTOR ALFA (TNF- α ) DAN JUMLAH NEUTROFIL PADA TIKUS PUTIH (Rattus Norvegicus) STRAIN WISTAR JANTAN YANG TERPAPAR KARAGEN

    Latar Belakang :Saat ini banyak dijumpai penyakit inflamasi, pemanfaatan tanaman sebagai obat tradisional di era modern saat ini cenderung meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengaruh ekstrak daun jarak merah terhadap kadar TNF - α dan Jumlah Neutrofil pada tikus Wistar jantan yang terpapar karagen. Metode :Rancangan penelitian ini adalah the post test only control group design. Total besar sampel 32 ekor tikus Wistar jantan berumur 2 – 3 bulan, dengan berat badan 175 – 200 gram, diaklimatisasi selama 7 hari, dan dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok. Kelompok K merupakan kontrol, sedangkan kelompok P1, P2, dan P3 diberikan ekstrak daun jarak merah secara per oral selama 3 minggu dengan dosis 100 mg/kgBB , 200 mg/kgBB, dan 300 mg/kgBB pada hari ke-21 semua kelompok diberi injeksi karagen 1% sebanyak 0,1 ml. Pada 6 jam setelah pemberian injeksi karagen, semua kelompok diambil jaringan otot paha untuk pemeriksaan kadar TNF-α dan Jumlah Neutrofil. Data diuji normalitas dengan Kolmogorov-Smirnov (p>0.05) dan uji homogenitas Varians Levene’s(p>0.05). Uji beda dengan One WayAnova (p<0.05) yang dilanjutkan dengan uji LSD (p<0.05) atau dengan Kruskal-Wallis (p<0.05) yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Mann-Whitney(p<0.05). Hasil :Hasil kadar TNF - α dari kelompok kontrol yang tidak diberi perlakuan ekstrak daun jarak merah lebih tinggi secara signifikan (p<0.05) dibandingkan kelompok yang diberi perlakuan ekstrak daun jarak merah. Hasil Jumlah neutrofil kelompok control yang tidak diberi perlakuan ekstrak daun jarak merah lebih tinggi secara signifikan (p<0.05) dibandingkan kelompok yang diberi perlakuan ekstrak daun jarak merah. Simpulan : Daun jarak merah mempunyai efek antiinflamasi terhadap TNF – α yang berpengaruh pada jumlah neutrofil. Kata kunci : Ekstrak daun jarak merah, Karagen , TNF - α, Neutrofil

    Pengaruh Pemberian Ekstrak Biji Almond Terhadap Kadar HDL. Studi Eksperimental pada Tikus Putih yang Diinduksi Kuning Telur

    High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) merupakan salah satu profil lipid yang memiliki fungsi sebagai pengantar kolesterol kemudian dibawa ke hati. Penurunan kadar HDL dapat menjadi faktor resiko terkena penyakit jantung koroner. Almond (Prunus Dulcis) memiliki kandungan senyawa antihiperlipidemik dan antioksidan yang dapat meningkatkan kadar HDL melalui penghambatan stress oksidatif. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak almond terhadap kadar HDL pada tikus galur wistar yang diinduksi kuning telur. Penelitian berupa eksperimental ini menggunakan desain Post Test Only Control Group. Sebanyak 24 ekor tikus putih (Rattus Novergicus) galur wistar yang terbagi secara acak menjadi 4 kelompok perlakuan sesuai kriteria inklusi dan drop out. Dalam penelitian ini terbagi menjadi kelompok I pakan standar, kelompok II induksi kuning telur puyuh, kelompok III induksi kuning telur ditambah simvastatin dan kelompok IV induksi kuning telur puyuh ditambah ekstrak almond. Dosis kuning telur puyuh sebanyak 10 ml, simvastatin 0,18 mg dan ekstrak almond 15 mg selama 28 hari. Setelah perlakuan darah diambil dan dianalisa kadar HDL menggunakan metode spektrofotometri dan hasilnya dianalisis dengan uji One Way Anova dilanjutkan uji Post Hoc. Rerata kadar HDL secara berurutan dari kelompok I (81,37 ± 2,31 mg/dL), kelompok II (22,67 ± 1,83 mg/dL), kelompok III (65,32 ± 2,39 mg/dL) dan kelompok IV (71,81 ± 1,90 mg/dL).
