Estrategias metodológicas para la Enseñanza - Aprendizaje Musical en el 6to grado de educación primaria del turno matutino de la Escuela Normal María Mazarello ubicada en el Barrio Altagracia de Managua durante el periodo del segundo semestre del año 2016.
El presente trabajo tiene como título “Estrategias metodológicas para Enseñanza
Musical en el Sexto grado de educación primaria del turno matutino de la escuela
Normal María Mazarello ubicada en el Barrio Altagracia de Managua durante el
periodo del segundo semestre del año 2016, con el objetivo de conocer la
formación académica y las estrategias de enseñanza utilizadas por el docente,
ya que en el estudio realizado se identificó las necesidades que la clase de
música demanda para una pleno desarrollo.
La Escuela está ubicada en el Bo. Altagracia, de la ciudad de Managua, tiene
una población estudiantil de 1250 estudiantes, en turnos: matutino, vespertino,
sabatino y dominical en sus tres modalidades como son: Educación inicial,
Primaria y Secundaria básica y magisterio, con estudiantes que residen en los
alrededores de la escuela.
Este estudio llevo a la conclusión de que el docente del colegio cuenta con la
preparación académica musical óptimo para impartir la clase de música, sin
embargo, el colegio no cuenta con los materiales necesarios para el desarrollo
de la clase, de la misma manera, no cuenta tampoco con la infraestructura
adecuada para dicha área.
Las recomendaciones que se dan en este trabajo van dirigidas al Ministerio de
Educación, a la directora del colegio y al docente, donde se les hace la
observación de la necesidad de talleres de inter capacitación, documentos
bibliográficos y a la medida de lo posible un salón que preste las condiciones
óptimas para la clase de música
Impact of the first wave of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic on the outcome of neurosurgical patients: A nationwide study in Spain
Objective To assess the effect of the first wave of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic on the outcome of neurosurgical patients in Spain. Settings The initial flood of COVID-19 patients overwhelmed an unprepared healthcare system. Different measures were taken to deal with this overburden. The effect of these measures on neurosurgical patients, as well as the effect of COVID-19 itself, has not been thoroughly studied. Participants This was a multicentre, nationwide, observational retrospective study of patients who underwent any neurosurgical operation from March to July 2020. Interventions An exploratory factorial analysis was performed to select the most relevant variables of the sample. Primary and secondary outcome measures Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to identify independent predictors of mortality and postoperative SARS-CoV-2 infection. Results Sixteen hospitals registered 1677 operated patients. The overall mortality was 6.4%, and 2.9% (44 patients) suffered a perioperative SARS-CoV-2 infection. Of those infections, 24 were diagnosed postoperatively. Age (OR 1.05), perioperative SARS-CoV-2 infection (OR 4.7), community COVID-19 incidence (cases/10 5 people/week) (OR 1.006), postoperative neurological worsening (OR 5.9), postoperative need for airway support (OR 5.38), ASA grade =3 (OR 2.5) and preoperative GCS 3-8 (OR 2.82) were independently associated with mortality. For SARS-CoV-2 postoperative infection, screening swab test <72 hours preoperatively (OR 0.76), community COVID-19 incidence (cases/10 5 people/week) (OR 1.011), preoperative cognitive impairment (OR 2.784), postoperative sepsis (OR 3.807) and an absence of postoperative complications (OR 0.188) were independently associated. Conclusions Perioperative SARS-CoV-2 infection in neurosurgical patients was associated with an increase in mortality by almost fivefold. Community COVID-19 incidence (cases/10 5 people/week) was a statistically independent predictor of mortality. Trial registration number CEIM 20/217

Incidence, Clinical Characteristics and Management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease in Spain : Large-Scale Epidemiological Study
(1) Aims: To assess the incidence of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in Spain, to describe the main epidemiological and clinical characteristics at diagnosis and the evolution of the disease, and to explore the use of drug treatments. (2) Methods: Prospective, population-based nationwide registry. Adult patients diagnosed with IBD-Crohn's disease (CD), ulcerative colitis (UC) or IBD unclassified (IBD-U)-during 2017 in Spain were included and were followed-up for 1 year. (3) Results: We identified 3611 incident cases of IBD diagnosed during 2017 in 108 hospitals covering over 22 million inhabitants. The overall incidence (cases/100,000 person-years) was 16 for IBD, 7.5 for CD, 8 for UC, and 0.5 for IBD-U; 53% of patients were male and median age was 43 years (interquartile range = 31-56 years). During a median 12-month follow-up, 34% of patients were treated with systemic steroids, 25% with immunomodulators, 15% with biologics and 5.6% underwent surgery. The percentage of patients under these treatments was significantly higher in CD than UC and IBD-U. Use of systemic steroids and biologics was significantly higher in hospitals with high resources. In total, 28% of patients were hospitalized (35% CD and 22% UC patients, p < 0.01). (4) Conclusion: The incidence of IBD in Spain is rather high and similar to that reported in Northern Europe. IBD patients require substantial therapeutic resources, which are greater in CD and in hospitals with high resources, and much higher than previously reported. One third of patients are hospitalized in the first year after diagnosis and a relevant proportion undergo surgery

Synthesis of a Curing Agent Derived from Limonene and the Study of Its Performance to Polymerize a Biobased Epoxy Resin Using the Epoxy/Thiol-Ene Photopolymerization Technique
This study describes the synthesis of a curing agent derived from limonene as well as its application to prepare biobased thermoset polymers via the epoxy/thiol-ene photopolymerization (ETE) method. A biobased commercial epoxy resin was used to synthesize a crosslinked polymeric matrix of polyether-polythioether type. The preparation of the curing agent required two steps. First, a diamine intermediate was prepared by means of a thiol-ene coupling reaction between limonene and cysteamine hydrochloride. Second, the primary amino groups of the intermediate compound were alkylated using allyl bromide. The obtained ditertiary amine-functionalized limonene compound was purified and characterized by FTIR and NMR spectroscopies along with GC-MS. The curing agent was formulated with a tetrafunctional thiol in stoichiometric ratio, and a photoinitiator at 1 mol % concentration, as the components of a thiol-ene system (TES). Two formulations were prepared in which molar concentrations of 30 and 40 mol % of the TES were added to the epoxy resin. The kinetics of the ETE photopolymerizations were determined by means of Real-Time FTIR spectroscopy, which demonstrated high reactivity by observing photopolymerization rates in the range of 1.50–2.25 s−1 for the epoxy, double bonds and thiol groups. The obtained polymers were analyzed by thermal and thermo-mechanical techniques finding glass transition temperatures (Tg) of 60 °C and 52 °C for the polymers derived from the formulations with 30 mol % and 40 mol % of TES, respectively. Intralesional Meglumine Antimoniate: Safe, Feasible and Effective Therapy for Cutaneous Leishmaniasis in Bolivia
The standard of care for cutaneous leishmaniasis includes the intramuscular/intravenous administration of pentavalent antimonials that are toxic and poorly tolerated. Primary health care usually lacks trained health staff for the diagnosis and treatment of leishmaniasis in Cochabamba Bolivia. Taking these aspects into account, a Bolivian consortium set out to explore the intralesional administration of meglumine antimoniate to treat cutaneous leishmaniasis during primary care under programmatic conditions. A four-step strategy consisting of clinical training for intralesional treatment and the promotion and periodic follow-up of health staff was carried out. The training process was applied in situ to personnel of nine primary health care centres. The intralesional treatment was applied five times every other day. Clinical follow-up after six-months of treatment showed a 77% healing proportion and 5% of therapeutic failure among 152 enrolled patients. The drug volume used in the intralesional procedure was on average 1.7 mL/ulcer treated. In conclusion, the strategy used was successful and effective, accomplishing a healing proportion similar to the long standardized treatment with a reduced time of administration, no severe side effects, and it is feasible to conduct by trained health staff. Our study supports the current PAHO/WHO recommendation for the intralesional administration of pentavalent antimonials for the treatment of cutaneous leishmaniasis

Prácticas culturales, discursos y poder en América Latina
El presente libro recoge una selección de artículos desarrollados a partir de algunas de las mejores ponencias presentadas en las VIII Jornadas de Estudiantes de Postgrado en Humanidades, Artes, Ciencias Sociales y Educación, celebradas el 9, 10 y 11 de enero de 2007 en la Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades de la Universidad de Chile. Los artículos presentados en este libro buscan instalar preguntas, más que ofrecer respuestas, señalando de manera contundente la importancia que encierra la reflexión sobre las condiciones de producción y circulación de ideas, discursos e imágenes que significan el concierto latinoamericano. Dichas condiciones son abordadas desde textos y autores clásicos inquiriendo en la actualidad de sus planteamientos y contemporáneos, pero también desde fenómenos y objetos culturales que cobran hoy nuevos significados en virtud de la necesidad de comprender el presente y de comprendernos en él. Si entendemos que lo latinoamericano comporta un conjunto de prácticas políticas, sociales y culturales, y que éstas escenifican en parte las fisuras de la pretendida globalización, aquellas prácticas y sus productos permiten visibilizar algunos de los agentes de nuestros propios procesos de modernidad. Desde esta posición, buscamos vislumbrar la necesidad de abrir debates significativos en nuestros propios campos culturales, atendiendo a las configuraciones del poder y a los mecanismos socio-culturales de inclusión y exclusión que los cruzan y tensionan
