    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat tentang link and match antara pendidikan tinggi dan dunia kerja alumni Prodi S1 Ilmu Perpustakaan Fakultas Adab dan Humaniora UINAr-Raniry. Fokus penelitian ini adalah alumni Prodi S1 Ilmu Perpustakaan yang berdomisili dan bekerja di wilayah Pantai Barat SelatanAceh. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei bersifatd eskriptif kuantitatif. Resposden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 76 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode observasi, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan Analisis data statistik deskriptif menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 23 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kesesuaian antara pendidikan tinggi dengan dunia kerja yaitu penggunaan mata kuliah teknis dalam dunia kerja dengan persentase sebesar 47.4%. Matakuliah teknis meliputi katalogisasi, klasifikasi, tajuk subyek, deskripsi bibliografi, dan pengindeksan subyek. Kesesuaian mata kuliah non-teknis dalam dunia kerja sebesar 21.1%, dan kesesuaian mata kuliah penunjang dalam dunia kerja sebesar 21.1%. Mata kuliah non-teknis smeliputi manajemen bahan pustaka, pengantar ilmu perpustakaan, promosi perpustakaan, bahan dan jasa rujukan, pengembangan koleksi, kearsipan, pengembangan minat baca, dan psikologi pengguna. Mengacu pada hasil penelitian tersebut, maka peneliti mengajukan saran kepada prodi S1 Ilmu Perpustakaan Fakultas Adab dan Humaniora UIN Ar-Raniry untuk meningkatkan kualitas sarana dan prasarana, meningkatkan kualitas dosen serta adanya wadah komunikasi antara prodi dengan alumni. Prodi S1 Ilmu Perpustakaan Fakultas Adab dan Humaniora UIN Ar-Raniry perlu melakukan peningkatan kerja sama dengan lembaga lain dalam hal penyaluran lulusan Ilmu Perpustakaan agar pekerjaan sesuai dengan ilmu yang dimiliki di perguruan tinggi

    This study aims to find out Librarian in Perspective of Information Manager (Case Study on Library Science Undergraduate Student of Adab and Humanities Faculty of UIN Ar-Raniry, Banda Aceh). This research uses quality descriptive approach, an approach that emphasizes more on the deductive and inductive deduc- tion process and on the analysis of the dynamics of relationship between observed phenomena, using scientific logic. The students of Library Science were observed to be 54 people for three months. For this research the author will explain in detail about UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh Main Library in the perspective of information managers for llibrary users especially Library Science students class of 2016 intake. The research results are; Librarians are not yet fully able to become information managers at UIN Ar-Raniry Main Library of Banda Aceh, due the small number of librarians for this size of a college library. Lack of librarian contribution to be- come information manager, in order to be able to fulfill requirement of information for their users, in this case undergraduate student of Library Science. Regarding the perspective that a library must be able to provide all forms of information required has not been done well, especially the information needs fot this such of users in this case Library Science students

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis komparasi Arsip dan perpustakaan adalah dua lembaga yang sama-sama mengumpulkan informasi, namun arsip mengumpulkan informasi dalam bentuk warkat ataupun manuskrip-manuskrip dan surat-surat penting untuk dimanfaatkan oleh peneliti. Penelitian lebih menekankan analisisnya pada proses penyimpulan deduktif dan induktif serta pada analisis terhadap dinamika hubungan antar fenomena yang diamati, dengan menggunakan logika ilmiah. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan Observasi partisipatif dan wawancara mendalam, ditambah kajian dokumen. Dengan hasil penelitian arsip tidak dapat diakses secara terbuka oleh masyarakat karena kerahasian yang terkandung di dalam sebuah arsip. Sedangkan perpustakaan menghimpun informasi dan menyebarluaskan kepada masyarakat. Sehingga kedua lembaga tersebut memiliki visi dan misi yang berbeda dalam penyebaran informasi. Informasi yang di simpan pada kedua lembaga juga berbeda, arsip menyimpan informasi yang sudah langka dan peninggalan-peninggalan sejarah yang memiliki nilai tinggi, arsip tidak bersifat up to date dalam menghimpun informasi. Sedangkan perpustakaan menyimpan koleksi baik berupa tercetak maupun digital, dimana dalam menghimpun informasi perpustakaan harus selalu dituntut untuk up to date

    Penelitian ini berjudul “Penerapan Undang-Undang No. 28 Tahun 2014 Tentang Hak Cipta Terhadap Publikasi Skripsi di UPT. Perpustakaan Universitas Syiah Kuala Banda Aceh”. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui kebijakan dan prosedur operasional ETD di UPT. Perpustakaan Universitas Syiah Kuala. Untuk mengetahui tingkat keamanan publikasi skripsi di UPT. Perpustakaan Universitas Syiah Kuala. Untuk mengetahui penerapan Undang-undang No. 28 Tahun 2014 tentang Hak Cipta terhadap publikasi penelitian ini untuk mengetahui respon mahasiswa terhadap publikasi skripsi di ETD. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan angket, dengan 40 orang mahasiswa yang menjadi responden, responden yang diambil yaitu mahasiswa Universitas Syiah Kuala yang sudah melakukan upload file karya ilmiah di ETD dan meminta pengesahan pada surat bebas perpustakaan. Publikasi Skripsi yang dilakukan oleh UPT. Perpustakaan Universitas Syiah Kuala sudah mampu menjaga karya ilmiah mahasiswa dari tindakan plagiat dengan menerapkan sistem pengamanan berdasarkan hukum Hak Cipta, hal ini diketahui berdasarkan hasil penelitian yaitu UPT. Perpustakaan Universitas Syiah Kuala dalam mempublikasikan skripsi secara open access atau terbuka untuk publik memberikan batasan-batasan terhadap hak akses seperti teks hanya dapat dibaca saja, tidak dapat di copy-paste, didownload dan di print. Sebelum melakukan publikasi UPT. Perpustakaan Universitas Syiah Kuala menyediakan surat persetujuan publikasi dan embargo yang ditanda tangan oleh mahasiswa yang bersangkutan, dosen pembimbing dan ketua prodi, hal ini dilakukan untuk mencegah terjadinya gugatan dari penulis karya ilmiah. UPT. Perpustakaan Universitas Syiah Kuala tetap mencantumkan identitas penulis skripsi dalam mempublikasikan skripsi mereka, karena identitas penulis adalah hal yang sangat penting

    Vision based 3D Gesture Tracking using Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality for Improved Learning Applications

    3D gesture recognition and tracking based augmented reality and virtual reality have become a big interest of research because of advanced technology in smartphones. By interacting with 3D objects in augmented reality and virtual reality, users get better understanding of the subject matter where there have been requirements of customized hardware support and overall experimental performance needs to be satisfactory. This research investigates currently various vision based 3D gestural architectures for augmented reality and virtual reality. The core goal of this research is to present analysis on methods, frameworks followed by experimental performance on recognition and tracking of hand gestures and interaction with virtual objects in smartphones. This research categorized experimental evaluation for existing methods in three categories, i.e. hardware requirement, documentation before actual experiment and datasets. These categories are expected to ensure robust validation for practical usage of 3D gesture tracking based on augmented reality and virtual reality. Hardware set up includes types of gloves, fingerprint and types of sensors. Documentation includes classroom setup manuals, questionaries, recordings for improvement and stress test application. Last part of experimental section includes usage of various datasets by existing research. The overall comprehensive illustration of various methods, frameworks and experimental aspects can significantly contribute to 3D gesture recognition and tracking based augmented reality and virtual reality.Peer reviewe

    Augmented Reality based 3D Human Hands Tracking from Monocular True Images Using Convolutional Neural Network

    Precise modeling of hand tracking from monocular moving camera calibration parameters using semantic cues is an active area of research concern for the researchers due to lack of accuracy and computational overheads. In this context, deep learning based framework, i.e. convolutional neural network based human hands tracking as well as recognizing pose of hands in the current camera frame become active research problem. In addition, tracking based on monocular camera needs to be addressed due to updated technology such as Unity3D engine and other related augmented reality plugins. This research aims to track human hands in continuous frame by using the tracked points to draw 3D model of the hands as an overlay in the original tracked image. In the proposed methodology, Unity3D environment was used for localizing hand object in augmented reality (AR). Later, convolutional neural network was used to detect hand palm and hand keypoints based on cropped region of interest (ROI). Proposed method by this research achieved accuracy rate of 99.2% where single monocular true images were used for tracking. Experimental validation shows the efficiency of the proposed methodology.Peer reviewe

This research aims to determine the utilization of spatial design in reading room study to determine the use of spatial design in the reading room at the library service and the general archives of the sijunjung area and to find out which reading room complies with existing library guidelines. The method used in this study is qualitative. The data collected in this study by conducting observations, interviews, and literature studies that are directly related to the research.     A comprehensive review towards segmentation and detection of cancer cell and tumor for dynamic 3D reconstruction

    Automated cancer cell and tumor segmentation and detection for 3D modeling are still an unsolved research problem in computer vision, image processing and pattern recognition research domains. Human body is complex three-dimensional structure where numerous types of cancer and tumor may exist regardless of shape or position. A three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction of cancer cell and tumor from body parts does not lead to loss of information like 2D shape visualization. Various research methodologies for segmentation and detection for 3D reconstruction of cancer cell and tumor were performed by previous research. However, the pursuit for better methodology for segmentation and detection for 3D reconstruction of cancer cell and tumor are still unsolved research problem due to lack of efficient feature extraction for details surface information, misclassification during training phases and low tissue contrast which causes low detection and precision rate with high computational complexity during detection and segmentation. This research addresses comprehensive and critical review of various segmentation and detection research methodologies for cancer affected cell and tumor in human body in the basis of three-dimensional reconstruction from MRI or CT images. At first, core research background is illustrated highlighting various aspects addressed by this research. After that, various previous methods with advantages and disadvantages followed by various phases used as frameworks exist in the previous research demonstrated by this research. Then, extensive experimental evaluations done by previous research are demonstrated by this research with various performance metrics. At last, this research summarized overall observation on previous research categorized into two aspects, i.e. observation on common research methodologies and recommended area for further research. Overall reviews proposed in this paper have been extensively studied in various research papers which can significantly contribute to computer vision research and can be potential for future development and direction for future research

    Inovasi layanan perpustakaan merupakan tuntutan zaman yang harus diakomodir dan diwujudkan dalam bentuk kebijakan program atau kegiatan yang dapat direalisasikan agar dapat meningkatkan kunjungan perpustakaan, pada akhir memberikan kontribusi peningkatan indeks literasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis inovasi bioskop sebagai wahana baru di Perpustakaan Padang Panjang. Metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan sumber data wawancara dan dokumentasi. Kemudian analisis data berdasarkan Analisis Interactive Model dari Miles & Humberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemutaran film edukasi di bioskop perpustakaan Padang Panjang dapat memicu peningkatan kunjungan masyarakat ke perpustakaan dan film-film edukasi yang paling banyak peminatnya adalah film Surau dan Silek, disusul dengan film Kisah Rasullah dan Pengemis Buta Yahudi serta Sepatu Dahlan.ABSTRACTLibrary service innovation is a demand of the times that must be accommodated and realized in the form of program policies or activities that can be discovered to increase library visits, contributing to an increase in the literacy index. This study aimed to analyze cinema innovation as a new vehicle in the Padang Panjang Library. Descriptive research method with a qualitative approach with data sources interview and documentation. Then the data analysis is based on the Interactive Model Analysis from Miles & Humberman. The results showed that screening educational films at the Padang Panjang library cinema could increase public visits to the library. The educational films with the most demand were Surau and Silek films, followed by the films Kisah Rasullah and the Pengemis Buta Yahudi  and Sepatu Dahlan

    This article aims to describe the children's spatial design which includes: the placement of shelves, colors, furniture, lighting, and room area in the children's service room at the library service, and the archives of the city of Padang Panjang. A library must pay attention to the interior design of the library because this can support the literacy skills of users, one of which is children. Library interior design is a way of arranging the interior layout of a library building, which functions as a container for all activities and activities in the library by creating a comfortable and safe atmosphere and image of the space by paying attention to the needs of the individuals in it without neglecting aesthetic factors. Where the design will be by the expectations of users and librarians to improve children's literacy. Literacy can be interpreted as the ability to read, write, speak, and solve.
