Integrating Qur’anic Moral Values through the Bina Pribadi Islami (BPI) Program: A Case Study in an Islamic School in Indonesia

    No full text
This study examines how Qur’anic moral values are integrated into a school-based character development program through the Bina Pribadi Islami (BPI) framework at SMPIT Nur Hidayah Surakarta, an Islamic integrated school in Indonesia. The study addresses the gap between normative formulations of moral education and their practical implementation in school settings. A qualitative case study design was employed, with data collected through semi-structured interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The primary informants consisted of a BPI mentor and an Islamic Education teacher, while additional data were obtained from observations of student activities and institutional documents to support triangulation. The analysis focused on selected Qur’anic teachings, particularly those reflected in Surah Al-Kautsar and Surah Al-Ma’un, as a basis for understanding the integration of moral values. The findings indicate that the integration of moral values is carried out through interconnected practices, including structured habituation, mentoring-based interaction, and the operationalization of values in both worship and social activities. These practices are supported by institutional mechanisms such as the 10 muwashofat framework, continuous monitoring through mutaba’ah amal yaumiyah, and the involvement of teachers across subject areas. The integration process reflects a systematic sequence of value identification, behavioral translation, habituation, evaluation, and follow-up guidance, allowing Qur’anic values to be embedded in students’ daily experiences. The findings indicate that the BPI program represents a structured and contextually grounded approach to integrating Qur’anic moral values within school-based character education, in which religious values are translated into sustained practices supported by institutional systems and daily interaction

Revisiting Teacher Support and Psychological Well-Being among Santri in Pesantren: An Explanatory Analysis

    No full text
Santri psychological well-being is an important aspect of pesantren (Islamic boarding school) education, as it supports students’ adaptation, emotional stability, and engagement in daily activities. Teacher support is often considered a key factor in shaping positive psychological outcomes in educational settings. However, empirical evidence within the pesantren context remains limited. This study examines whether teacher support has a measurable effect on santri psychological well-being at Alif Laam Miim Islamic Boarding School, Surabaya. This study employed a quantitative approach using an explanatory survey design involving 118 santri selected through a census sampling technique. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires measuring teacher support and psychological well-being. The instruments demonstrated acceptable internal consistency. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression following classical assumption testing. The results indicate that teacher support has a positive but statistically non-significant relationship with psychological well-being (p = 0.535 > 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.003) and the negative adjusted R² value suggest that teacher support provides minimal explanatory value within the model. These findings indicate that teacher support does not have a measurable effect on santri psychological well-being in this context. The study highlights the importance of considering psychological well-being in pesantren as a multidimensional construct shaped by a combination of internal and external factors, including personal resilience, peer relationships, and institutional context

WITHDRAWAL OF PARENT-TO-CHILD GRANTS IN THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE ḤANAFIYYAH SCHOOL AND THE PRINCIPLE OF WEALTH DISTRIBUTION IN SHARIA ECONOMIC LAW

    No full text
This study examines the legal issue of revoking parental gifts (hibah) to children from the perspective of the Ḥanafī school and its relevance to the principles of wealth distribution in Islamic economic law. The focus is directed toward analyzing the views of Ḥanafī scholars who emphasize the prohibition of revoking hibah to children, as hibah is regarded as a transfer of ownership that must remain stable once completed, while the parent–child relationship itself is considered a non-material compensation (\u27iwāḍ ma\u27nawī) that nullifies the right of revocation. The research employs a conceptual and statutory approach within the framework of normative legal study, with data obtained from library sources and analyzed descriptively-prescriptively. The findings conclude that parental hibah to children must be regarded as a final and irrevocable transfer, ensuring ownership certainty, justice, and trust within the family, and aligning with the objectives of Islamic law (maqāṣid al-sharī\u27ah) in preserving wealth (ḥifẓ al-māl) and lineage (ḥifẓ al-nasl)

PAYMENT AGREEMENT SYSTEM FOR NON-CASH PRODUCT PURCHASES AT PT WINGS FOOD ACEH BESAR ACCORDING TO BA\u27I AL-DAYN CONTRACT

This study aims to analyze the payment agreement system for non-cash product purchases implemented by PT Wings Food Aceh Besar from the perspective of the ba\u27i al-dayn contract. The research uses a qualitative method with a normative sociological approach, through interviews with suppliers and a literature review. The results of the study show that the non-cash payment system provides access to capital for small traders without the addition of interest, so that it is in line with the basic principle of ba\u27i al-dayn. However, this practice also contains potential gharar due to the uncertainty of repayment when traders reorder before the previous obligation is settled. The findings of this study confirm the importance of strengthening risk management, especially through the establishment of receivables limits and gradual settlement schemes, to ensure that transactions remain in accordance with the principles of muamalah and are sustainable for both parties. This research is expected to contribute to expanding the study of the application of the ba\u27i al-dayn contract to modern distribution trade practices

BRIDGING COUNCILS, STRENGTHENING WAQF: GOVERNANCE AND DIGITAL INTEGRATION IN MUHAMMADIYAH

    No full text
This study examines the governance of waqf in Muhammadiyah, focusing on the importance of inter-council synergy in the digital era. Muhammadiyah manages thousands of waqf assets across sectors such as education, health, and social services; however, the governance system still faces challenges of fragmented data, limited certification, and weak coordination across councils. Drawing on institutional documents and interviews with the Majelis Pendayagunaan Waqf (MPW) and related councils, the research employs data reduction, display, and SWOT analysis to provide a structured evaluation. Findings reveal that MPW plays a central role in asset inventory, certification, legal advocacy, and the productive use of waqf, supported by innovations such as SIMAM (Sistem Informasi Manajemen Aset Muhammadiyah) and WaqfMu. Nevertheless, only about 40% of waqf assets are recorded in the system, highlighting gaps in local data input, human resource capacity, and cross-council integration. The analysis demonstrates that while MPW, MEBP, Dikdasmen, Diktilitbang, and LAZISMU each contribute to the optimization of waqf, the absence of a unified information system hampers efficiency and accountability. Strategically, the study emphasizes four priorities: (1) accelerating the integration of waqf information systems across councils, (2) enhancing digital capacities of human resources, (3) expanding productive waqf through Muhammadiyah’s philanthropic and business networks, and (4) strengthening certification and legal advocacy for asset sustainability. By mapping the necessity of inter-council collaboration, this research highlights that effective waqf governance in Muhammadiyah requires technological innovation and institutional synergy. The findings contribute to the literature on modern waqf governance and practical strategies for Muhammadiyah, a leading waqf manager in Indonesia

    No full text
Poverty remains a major challenge in Indonesia despite the declining trend in poverty rates. Zakat plays an important role as an instrument for wealth distribution and poverty alleviation, particularly through productive zakat programs. This study aims to reflect on the current conditions and to project strategies for strengthening sustainable productive zakat, using a case study of BAZNAS Deli Serdang Regency. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with SWOT analysis. The findings indicate that productive zakat has strengths such as regulatory support, increasing zakat literacy, and opportunities for synergy with the national development agenda. Nevertheless, weaknesses remain, including limited coverage, low fund allocation, and insufficient business mentoring. The position of productive zakat falls into the aggressive strategy quadrant (S–O), meaning that the main strategies should focus on service digitalization, synergy with CSR programs, scaling up interventions, replicating successful models at the national level, and diversifying businesses based on local potential. With these strategies, productive zakat has the potential to serve as a sustainable instrument in transforming mustahik into economic self-reliance while supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

ONLINE NON-CASH GOLD PURCHASE AND SALE TRANSACTIONS THROUGH THE SHOPEE PLATFORM FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF ISLAMIC COMMERCE

    No full text
This article discusses cashless online gold transactions on the Shopee platform amid ongoing conflicts with Sharia economic law. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyse how cashless online gold transactions on the Shopee platform are conducted, and to examine their perspective on Islamic law. This research method is qualitative and uses a conceptual approach; it is normative legal research. The results and discussion in this article indicate that digital gold transactions on Shopee do not fully comply with Sharia principles due to the unclear mechanism of the sale and purchase agreement in accordance with Sharia economic law, the absence of direct handover, and the potential for elements of gharar and usury in the buying and selling process. Therefore, supervision, consumer education, and adjustments to transaction mechanisms are needed to comply with Islamic law, so that digital gold investment can become a halal, safe, and trusted financial instrument for Muslims

Deconstruction of Patriarchal Construction: An Islamic Gender Analysis of Laysa Lahā Makān fī Al-Jannah: Tafkīk al-Binā’ al-Abawī: Dirāsah Jandariyyah Islāmiyyah li Riwāyat Laysa Lahā Makān fī al-Jannah

This study aims to reveal how patriarchal culture manipulates Islamic values to legitimize the subordination of women and to reinterpret those values based on the principle of equality in the Qur’an. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method using library research, observation, and note-taking techniques. The theoretical framework applied is Asma Barlas’s Islamic feminism, which is grounded in the Qur’anic principle of equality. The results of the analysis show that patriarchal interpretations of Islamic concepts such as obedience, piety, and paradise function as mechanisms of social control that are internalized by female characters, affecting both their bodies and consciousness. The novelty of this research lies in its deconstructive reading based on Islamic gender theory, which emphasizes that gender inequality in the text does not originate from the Qur’an itself, but rather from patriarchal interpretations that deviate from its ethical vision.

Implementation of Restorative Justice in the Settlement of Juvenile Assault Offenses as Street Crimes at the Banda Aceh City Police

    Get PDF
Restorative justice is an approach to resolving legal cases that involves the offender and the victim in order to achieve a fair settlement by emphasizing the fulfillment of the rights and obligations of the parties based on humanitarian aspects and more dignified and just legal protection. The implementation of restorative justice in this study is carried out in cases of assault committed by children as perpetrators of street crime at the Banda Aceh Police Resort (Polresta Banda Aceh), focusing on the resolution process of several cases between 2023 to 2025. This study aims to examine how restorative justice is implemented in handling cases of child-perpetrated assault as street crime at Polresta Banda Aceh and to identify the obstacles faced in its effectiveness. This study employs a juridical empirical method with statute approach and conceptual approach. Data are collected through interviews with responsible parties at Polresta Banda Aceh and are analyzed descriptively to provide a detailed overview of the implementation of regulations in practice. The findings indicate that Polresta Banda Aceh has attempted to implement restorative justice through penal mediation involving the offender, the victim, and other related parties. However, not all cases are successfully resolved as expected. Out of 9 cases handled, only 3 cases are successfully resolved through restorative justice, while 6 cases are referred to formal judicial proceedings. The implementation still faces several obstacles, including limited family support, the failure to reach an agreement between the offender and the victim, and the lack of optimal support from customary institutions for children. Although the procedures have been carried out in accordance with existing regulations, this condition indicates a gap between legal norms that require diversion and their implementation in practice. Therefore, it is necessary to enhance the capacity of law enforcement officers through specialized training, accompanied by public education, as well as integrating customary law values, in order to ensure that restorative justice is implemented more effectively
