    SISTEM PERINGATAN DINI BAHAYA BANJIR DENGAN TEKNOLOGI INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT)

    Bencana alam adalah suatu peristiwa alam yang mengakibatkan dampak besar bagi populasi manusia. Salah satu bencana alam yang banyak terjadi di Indonesia, khususnya Jawa Barat adalah banjir. Banjir disebabkan oleh hujan yang terjadi secara terus menerus dan kemampuan tanah yang kurang maksimal dalam menyerap air. Tidak sedikit daerah yang terkena banjir mengalami banyak kerugian, di antaranya akses jalan terputus, rumah terendam, bahkan perekonomian menjadi lumpuh. Dengan perkembangan teknologi yang pesat, maka teknologi bisa menjadi salah satu solusi dalam menyelesaikan dan mengurangi dampak dari permasalahan banjir. Pada Tugas Akhir ini akan dibahas salah satu solusi untuk mengurangi dampak banjir dengan memanfaatkan teknologi, yakni akan dibuat alat untuk memberikan peringatan dini bahaya banjir menggunakan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT). Sensor peringatan dini bahaya banjir akan dirancang menggunakan sensor ketinggian air, mikrokontroller. Sensor digunakan untuk mendeteksi ketinggian air dengan menggunakan 3 buah sensor yaitu transistor, reed switch dan ultrasonik. Data yang diterima dari sensor akan dikelola oleh mikrokontroller. Mikrokontroller bertugas membaca data hasil sensor yang akan disimpan pada database dan mengirimkan pesan ke smartphone pengguna melalui platform IoT, ThingSpeak. Pesan yang dikirimkan dapat dilihat melalui aplikasi ThingView pada smartphone dan website ThingSpeak. Dengan adanya sistem peringatan tersebut diharapkan masyarakat dapat mempersiapkan diri sehingga kerugian yang diderita dapat ditekan semaksimal mungkin. Serta mempermudah mendapatkan informasi keadaan di daerah tersebut. Adapun hasil penelitian yang kami lakukan terkait alat pemberi peringatan dini terhadap bahya banjir adalah penggunaan reed switch lebih baik dari transistor dan ultrasonik. Selain itu, penggunaan ThingView memudahkan masyarakat dalam melihat grafik ketinggian air. Kemudian, ketika sensor berhasil menerima data, maka data akan disimpan di Arduino dan dikirim ke ThingSpeak oleh ESP8266-01 dengan jaringan Wi-Fi. Kemudian data dapat dilihat dari smartphone dengan aplikasi ThingView dan membuka website ThingSpeak pada laptop/komputer anda.     Variational homotopy perturbation method for solving systems of homogeneous linear and nonlinear partial differential equations

    The variational homotopy perturbation method is developed by combining variational iteration method and homotopy perturbation method. Variational iteration method has an efficient process in solving a wide variety of equations and systems of equations. Meanwhile, homotopy perturbation method yields a very rapid convergence of the solution series in most cases. The developed method, variational homotopy perturbation method, took full advantage of both methods. In this study, we described an application of the variational homotopy perturbation method to solve systems of homogeneous partial differential equations. Here we consider some initial value problems of homogeneous partial differential equation systems with two and three variables. The results show that the obtained solution using this method was in agreement with the solution using the homotopy analysis method and variational iteration method, which prove the validity of the variational homotopy perturbation method when applied to systems of partial differential equations

    Analysis Strategy of Visual Brand Adaptation During the COVID-19 Pandemic

    This study aimed to determine how companies successfully created visual brands during the COVID-19 pandemic that are easy to remember, contextually-relevant, and educated the public about the current pandemic. The phenomenology research method was used, which is a method to deeply observe actual and factual phenomena occurring at a specific time. This method runs with several steps to find out the essence of the phenomenon that occurs. The results of this study explain consumer behaviour, visual strategies that can be taken by companies in dealing with pandemic situations, and how companies and brands communicate in the new-normal era. It will be a valuable input, especially for visual communication design science, because the collected data can be used to determine strategies and visual communication techniques during a pandemic. Data related to the stage of consumer shifting during a pandemic can also be used to determine the direction of branding and brand communication with the community.     Effect of Membrane Exposure on Guided Bone Regeneration: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

    Aims: This review aimed at investigating the effect of membrane exposure on guided bone regeneration (GBR) outcomes at peri-implant sites and edentulous ridges. Material and Methods: Electronic and manual literature searches were conducted by two independent reviewers using four databases, including MEDLINE, EMBASE, Web of Science, and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, for articles up to February 2017. Articles were included if they were human clinical trials or case series reporting outcomes of GBR procedures with and without membrane exposure. A random-effects meta-analysis was conducted, and the weighted mean difference (WMD) between the two groups and 95% confidence interval (CI) were reported. Results: Overall, eight articles were included in the quantitative analysis. The WMD of the horizontal bone gain at edentulous ridges was −76.24% (95% CI = −137.52% to −14.97%, p = .01) between sites with membrane exposure and without exposure. In addition, the WMD of the dehiscence reduction at peri- implant sites was −27.27% (95% CI of −45.87% to −8.68%, p = .004). Both analyses showed significantly favorable outcomes at the sites without membrane exposure. Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, membrane exposure after GBR procedures has a significant detrimental influence on the outcome of bone augmentation. For the edentulous ridges, the sites without membrane exposure achieved 74% more horizontal bone gain than the sites with exposure. For peri-implant dehiscence defects, the sites without membrane exposure had 27% more defect reduction than the sites with exposure

    Generation Z is a generation with unique characteristics that makes them differ from their predecessor. With Generation Z entering the workplace, there are currently three generations (Gen X, Gen Y, and Gen Z) that must work together and coordinate within the company. However, Generation Z is known to be a “job hopper” generation. They like to switch between jobs for a certain reason. This behavior is surely associated with the concept of organizational commitment. Furthermore, both variables (motivation and satisfaction in work) presumed to have a great impact on organizational commitment. Therefore, the aim of this study is to observe on how to enhance Generation Z’s organizational commitment through job satisfaction and work motivation. This observation is to explain on what Generation Z expects and values the most in the workplace and how employers can meet those expectations.     Carbonate Apatite Containing Statin Enhances Bone Formation in Healing Incisal Extraction Sockets in Rats

    The purpose of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of using apatite blocks fabricated by a dissolution–precipitation reaction of preset gypsum, with or without statin, to enhance bone formation during socket healing after tooth extraction. Preset gypsum blocks were immersed in a Na3PO4 aqueous solution to make hydroxyapatite (HA) low crystalline and HA containing statin (HAFS), or in a mixed solution of Na2HPO4 and NaHCO3 to make carbonate apatite (CO) and CO containing statin (COFS). The right mandibular incisors of four-week-old male Wistar rats were extracted and the sockets were filled with one of the bone substitutes or left untreated as a control (C). The animals were sacrificed at two and four weeks. Areas in the healing socket were evaluated by micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) and histological analyses. The bone volume, trabecular thickness, and trabecular separation were greatest in the COFS group, followed by the CO, HAFS, HA, and C groups. The bone mineral density of the COFS group was greater than that of the other groups when evaluated in the vertical plane. The results of this study suggest that COFS not only allowed, but also promoted, bone healing in the socket. This finding could be applicable for alveolar bone preservation after tooth extraction

    Stunting disebabkan oleh pola makan yang tidak seimbang akibat ketidaktahuan ibu akan kesehatan da gizi balita. Pemberdayaan perempuan sangat penting untuk berhasil mengurangi kejadian stunting pada anak, yang dimaksud adalah pemberdayaan perempuan adalah pemberdayaan ibu di bidang literasi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini merupakan bagian dari program KKN-PK. Pada kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh 20 peserta Ibu-ibu bersama dengan Balitanya. Pengabdian ini merupakan pengabdian literasi gizi. Dalam kegiatan ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan yang pertama adalah koordinasi dengan Kepala Desa Permata Kecamatan Tilongkabila, kedua adalah penyuluhan pemanfaatan kelor dalam mencegah stunting dan tahap ketiga pelatihan pembuatan puding daun kelor. Dalam kegiatan ini ibu-ibu tampak tertarik dengan cara pengolahan daun kelor menjadi olahan puding yang bergizi, ini mungkin karena kesederhanaan metode dan alat yang mudah didapatkan yang sebagian besar sudah ada di dapur ibu-ibu rumah tangga.Dalam pengabdian ini menghasilkan kemampuan ibu meningkat melalui literasi gizi baik penyuluhan manfaat kelor dan pengamatan secara langsung pembuatan puding. Diharapkan ibu-ibu yang ikut serta dalam kegiatan literasi ini dapat menyiapkan berbagai olahan makanan dengan menggunakan daun kelor agar lebih maksimal sehingga dapat mencegah dan menurunkan angka stunting di Kabupaten Bone Bolango.     Micro-computed tomography analysis of early stage bone healing using micro-porous titanium mesh for guided bone regeneration : preliminary experiment in a canine model.

    The aim of this study was to evaluate the amount of bone formation beneath a defect area after treatment with titanium mesh membranes with different thicknesses and pore sizes alone or in combination with bone graft to induce bone formation during the early stage of healing time. The mandibular premolars were extracted bilaterally from three adult beagle dogs, and 8-mm-diameter bone defects were created on the buccal site of the premolar regions. Hydroxyapatite bone graft substitute was applied in the defect site unilaterally, and other site was left empty. Then, a novel micro-porous mesh (50 ÎŒm in pore diameter) or commercially available macro-porous titanium mesh (1700 ÎŒm in pore diameter) was placed on the defect and secured with screws. After 4 weeks, the mandibles were harvested, imaged using micro-computed tomography, and prepared for histological and morphometric evaluation. Higher new bone volumes (mm3), percentage of new bone volumes in the total defect volumes (bone ratio: %), and new bone area (mm2) through morphometric evaluation were found on the novel membranes with 50-ÎŒm-diameter pores compared to the commercial titanium mesh. Moreover, experiment sites without bone graft were observed with higher new bone volume and bone ratio compared with sites with bone graft. However, bone mineral density of novel mesh was observed to be lower compared with other experimental sites. Under the experimental condition, the result of this study suggests that titanium meshes with 50-ÎŒm-diameter pores were effective for guided bone regeneration in the early stage of healing
