    Spectrum Sharing For Information Freshness: A Repeated Games Perspective

    We consider selfish sources that send updates to a monitor over a shared wireless access. The sources would like to minimize the age of their information at the monitor. Our goal is to devise strategies that incentivize such sources to use the shared spectrum cooperatively. Earlier work has modeled such a setting using a non-cooperative one-shot game, played over a single access slot, and has shown that under certain access settings the dominant strategy of each source is to transmit in any slot, resulting in packet collisions between the sources' transmissions and causing all of them to be decoded in error at the monitor. We capture the interaction of the sources over an infinitely many medium access slots using infinitely repeated games. We investigate strategies that enable cooperation resulting in an efficient use of the wireless access, while disincentivizing any source from unilaterally deviating from the strategy. Formally, we are interested in strategies that are a subgame perfect Nash equilibrium (SPNE). We begin by investigating the properties of the one-stage (slot) optimal and access-fair correlated strategies. We then consider their many-slot variants, the age-fair and access-fair strategies, in the infinitely repeated game model. We prove that the access-fair and age-fair strategies are SPNEs for when collision slots are longer than successful transmission slots. Otherwise, neither is a SPNE.     This paper examines to study institutional change of the State Islamic University (SIU), Malang. This study gets some summaries: First, that institutional change of SIU indicates that social sphere of higher education coloured with struggle for implementation of Islamic universality in education field. Struggle in social sphere of higher education cannot be discharged from spirit of Islam people to make a "more active" social sphere in Indonesia society. Spirit of universalization of Islamic values cannot be discharged from event pushing universitization of SIHE in the early 21 C. Second, successness of institutional change in SIU, Malang because: (a) its elite actors able to mobilize its modalities both economic, social, culture, symbolic, spiritual, political, and leadership capitals; (b) there is braveness from elit actors to put a window of opportunity as institutional actor for implementation of MoU between Minitry of Religious Affairs, Indonesia and Ministry of Education, Sudan by transform State of Islamic College of Malang (SICM) become Indonesia-Sudan Islamic University (ISIU).     At the end of December 2019, a novel coronavirus was identified which caused severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) with a disease known as coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The virus first originated in the city of Wuhan in China, causing symptoms such as pneumonic plague, which began in the Wuhan and then spread throughout the world with high transmission efficiency. Special precautions and care are needed such as leaving the public area, covering your mouth with a mask, not shaking hands, washing hands, and sanitation from time to time. Infection due to SARS-CoV-2 shows several symptoms, one of which is very often the patient shows difficulty breathing. Currently, COVID-19 has been declared a global pandemic and has almost attacked all countries in the world, including in India which has one of the largest human populations in the entire world. One of the challenges in handling COVID-19 is the unavailability of drugs or special vaccines to treat the disease, so clinical practitioners and academics are currently testing various drugs to see how they affect the COVID-19 patients. Some of the drugs tested provide effective mechanisms against SARS-CoV-2, such as chloroquine, remdesivir, lopinavir, and vaccines under development. These drugs are still being tested and are now at the forefront to combat the effects of SARS-CoV-2 infection. This review article will discuss all kinds of ins and outs of SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19, including the transmission method, how to prevent it, as well as various drugs and vaccines currently used in handling COVID-19

    Release of insecticidal transgenic crops and gap areas in developing approaches for more durable resistance

    Transgenic cultivars expressing d-endotoxin coding genes of Bacillus thuringiensis are beinggrown globally on about 12 million hectares this year. Agriculture in India can benefit substan-tially by adopting transgenic insecticidal cultivars since, in contrast to the world average of 30%,of the total chemical pesticides used in India 75% are employed against insects. No other bio-logical approach, as safe as and yet as effective as the Bt technology is presently known to con-trol agricultural pests. The question at the center stage is to expedite the commercial release ofBt transgenics and also make a parallel effort to devise knowledge-based strategies aimed atachieving longer durability of crop resistance to insect pests. Plant breeders have encounteredsimilar situations in the past for improving crops against insects and other diseases.
