    O currículo e a educação de jovens e adultos: espaço de poder-saber

    Curriculum establishes which knowledge is prioritized, such as that regarding views on the world and humanity and which “truth” to proclaim. Curricular theory gives epistemological support to what the curriculum will do through the curricular policies that will make viable the curriculum proposal, through holdings and documents at the macro and micro level. In class the curriculum fulfills certain roles and relationships between teacher and students and validates some knowledge while invalidating others, including certain individuals and excluding others. We understand curriculum as a trajectory that involves the entire dynamic in and for the school, in order to produce identities and subjectivities. The objective of this study is to problematize the curriculum field, focusing specifically on the education of youth and adults from a post-critical viewpoint. From this perspective, Youth and Adult Education begins to be perceived as a form of education in terms of the cultural political field: a space of power/knowledge that produces different identities.O currículo estabelece quais conhecimentos priorizar em relação a outros, bem como qual a visão de mundo e de homem, e qual “verdade“ proclamar. A teoria curricular dá sustentação epistemológica ao que o currículo irá efetivar através das políticas curriculares que, por sua vez, viabilizarão a proposta do currículo, por meio de ações e de documentos em nível macro e micro. Em sala de aula o currículo opera determinando papéis, relações entre professor e alunos, validam certos conhecimentos e outros não, incluem certos indivíduos, excluindo outros. Entendemos o currículo como uma trajetória que envolve toda a dinâmica na e para a escola, com fins a produzir identidades e subjetividades. Neste estudo, como objetivo, procuramos problematizar o campo do currículo, enfocando especificamente a educação de jovens e adultos numa visão pós-critica apontando algumas implicações para a mesma. Nesta perspectiva, a Educação de Jovens e Adultos passa a ser percebida como uma educação em termos de campo político cultural; um espaço de saber-poder que produz diferentes identidades

    Avaliando o plano municipal de educação: monitoramento e controle social

    Evaluating and monitoring the Municipal Education Plans is a referral given by the National Education Plan (2014-2024). In this context, the objective is to analyze the actions of the Municipal Education Council and the Municipal Education Secretariat, considering the monitoring and evaluation of the Municipal Education Plan (PME), which culminated in the Municipal Education Conference in the municipality of Jataí, Goiás. Through documentary research, with primary sources, the categories monitoring and social control in the dialectical movement were problematized, understanding that, in liberal democracy, they dispute two educational projects, one for the training of the worker and the other for the complete human formation. In the managerial State, the process of implementing and evaluating the PME presents itself, in appearance, in a democratic way, however, in essence it objective the accountability of those involved. On the other hand, the social control that counts on the participation of society in the process of monitoring and evaluating the PME aims at a socially referenced quality.Evaluar y monitorear los Planes Municipales de Educación es un encaminamiento dado por el Plan Nacional de Educación (2014-2024). En este contexto, se objetiva analizar las acciones del Consejo Municipal de Educación y de la Secretaría Municipal de Educación, considerando el monitoreo y la evaluación del Plan Municipal de Educación (PME), que culminaron en la Conferencia Municipal de Educación en el municipio de Jataí, Goiás. Frente a la investigación documental, con fuentes primarias, se problematizaron las categorías monitoreo y control social en el movimiento dialéctico, comprendiéndose que, en la democracia liberal, disputan dos proyectos educacionales, uno para la formación del trabajador y otro para la formación humana plena. En el Estado gerencial, el proceso de implementación y evaluación del PME se presenta, en la apariencia, de forma democrática, en pero, en su esencia objetiva y responsabilidad de los involucrados. Por otro lado, el control social que cuenta con la participación de la sociedad en el proceso de monitoreo y evaluación del PME anhela una cualidad socialmente referenciada.Avaliar e monitorar os Planos Municipais de Educação é um encaminhamento dado pelo Plano Nacional de Educação (2014-2024).     Population synthesis of HII galaxies

    We study the stellar population of galaxies with active star formation, determining ages of the stellar components by means of spectral population synthesis of their absorption spectra. The data consist of optical spectra of 185 nearby (z0.075z \leq 0.075) emission line galaxies. They are mostly HII galaxies, but we also include some Starbursts and Seyfert 2s, for comparison purposes. They were grouped into 19 high signal-to-noise ratio template spectra, according to their continuum distribution, absorption and emission line characteristics. The templates were then synthesized with a star cluster spectral base. The synthesis results indicate that HII galaxies are typically age-composite stellar systems, presenting important contribution from generations up to as old as 500 Myr. We detect a significant contribution of populations with ages older than 1 Gyr in two groups of HII galaxies. The age distributions of stellar populations among Starbursts can vary considerably despite similarities in the emission line spectra. In the case of Seyfert 2 groups we obtain important contributions of old population, consistent with a bulge. From the diversity of star formation histories, we conclude that typical HII galaxies in the local universe are not systems presently forming their first stellar generation.Comment: 12 pages, 4 figures, MNRAS in pres

    Using Stable Isotopes to Quantify Nitrogen Fates in Container Plants

    Currently, in the agriculture field, it is not yet known the accurate amount of Nitrogen in fertilizer that plants take up. This statistic, known as the Nitrogen Use Efficiency is currently known to be within the 30-50% range (Lea-Cox and Ross, 2001). This is very important figure to know and it is a figure that can be improved, and therefore much time, energy, and resources can be saved. This research project will use concepts involving stable isotopes to examine red maple plant material and the soilless media that the plants were grown in. Three different isotope-labelled fertilizer treatments will be used to determine the amount of Nitrogen taken up in the plant, in the runoff water, and released to the atmosphere. Plant and media samples will be analyzed using a mass spectrometer and an accurate account of Nitrogen can then be made. The data show that the Nitrogen taken up by the plant mostly contributes to the growth of new plant material, although there are significant amounts of 15N in the old stem and old leaf samples. The conclusions that can be drawn are that Nitrogen that is processed into fertilizer is ultimately being wasted. Nitrogen is being leached into the ground water, immobilized by bacteria into organic Nitrogen, bound to the soil and media, and converted into NOx and N2; more research can be done, especially into the volatilization of the Nitrogen from fertilizers

    Plano municipal de educação e o trabalho docente sob tensões

    This text analyzes the teaching work in the context of the Municipal Education Plan of Jataí (PME) - GO, seeking to unveil this area, considering the policies of regulation and restructuring of teaching work in the network, in the context of the PME, since the work of teachers is affected, like curriculum development, in the face of large-scale assessments. Methodologically, the text results from qualitative documentary research. The data were collected in official documents of the municipality, notably the two documents of the PME - the one proposed by the civil society and the one approved by the executive, as well as in the minutes of the City Council of Jataí and in the Statute of the Mastership of Jataí. Data analysis is carried out in the perspective of Critical Historical Pedagogy, in view of the relevance of understanding teaching work in the midst of the contradictions present in school contexts. It is concluded that the priority is given to large-scale evaluation indexes, to the detriment of the valuation of teaching work.Este texto analiza el trabajo docente en el contexto del Plan Municipal de Educación de Jataí (PME) – GO, buscando desvelar este campo, considerando las políticas de regulación y reestructuración del trabajo docente en la red, en el contexto del PME, puesto que el trabajo de los profesores es afectado, tal cual el desarrollo curricular, frente a las evaluaciones en larga escala. Metodológicamente, el texto resulta de investigación documental de naturaleza cualitativa. Los datos han sido recolectados en documentos oficiales del municipio, marcadamente en dos documentos del PME – el propuesto por la sociedad civil y el aprobado por el ejecutivo, así como en atas de la Cámara Municipal de Jataí y en el Estatuto del Magistério de Jataí. El análisis de los datos se hace en la perspectiva de la Pedagogía Histórico Crítica, teniendo en cuenta la relevancia de la comprensión del trabajo docente en medio a las contradicciones presentes en los contextos escolares. Se concluye que la prioridad es dada a los índices de evaluación en larga escala, en detrimento de la valoración del trabajo docente.Este texto analisa o trabalho docente no contexto do Plano Municipal de Educação de Jataí (PME) - GO, buscando desvelar esse campo, considerando as políticas de regulação e reestruturação do trabalho docente na rede, no contexto do PME, visto que o trabalho dos professores é afetado, tal qual o desenvolvimento curricular, diante das avaliações em larga escala.     Stellar population gradients in Seyfert 2 galaxies. Northern sample

    We use high signal-to-noise ratio long-slit spectra in the 3600-4700A range of the twenty brightest northern Seyfert 2 galaxies to study the variation of the stellar population properties as a function of distance from the nucleus. In order to characterize the stellar population and other continuum sources (e.g. featureless continuum FC) we have measured equivalent widths Ws of six absorption features, four continuum colours and their radial variations, and performed spectral population synthesis as a function of distance from the nucleus. About half the sample has CaIIK and G-band W values smaller at the nucleus than at 1 kpc from it, due to a younger population and/or FC. The stellar population synthesis shows that, while at the nucleus, 75% of the galaxies present contribution > 20% of ages younger or equal than 100Myr and/or of a FC, this proportion decreases to 45% at 3 kpc. In particular, 55% of the galaxies have contribution > 10% of the 3 Myr/FC component (a degenerate component in which one cannot separate what is due to a FC or to a 3 Myr stellar population) at the nucleus, but only 25% of them have this contribution at 3 kpc. As reference, the stellar population of 10 non-Seyfert galaxies, spanning the Hubble types of the Seyfert (from S0 to Sc) was also studied. A comparison between the stellar population of the Seyferts and that of the non-Seyferts shows systematic differences: the contribution of ages younger than 1 Gyr is in most cases larger in the Seyfert galaxies than in non-Seyferts, not only at the nucleus but up to 1 kpc from it.Comment: 23 pages, 18 figures, MNRAS in pres

    Seit der Finanzkrise 2007 befinden sich die Zinsen in der Schweiz auf Talfahrt. Der Druck auf verschiedene Anlageklassen macht Immobilien bei privaten wie auch institutionellen Investoren zu einer beliebten Anlageklasse. Die erhöhte Nachfrage und die tiefen Finanzierungskosten führen zu steigenden Immobilienpreisen mit Überhitzungstendenzen. Das schwierige Marktumfeld und die Besonderheiten von Immobilien stellen die Investoren vor erhöhte Herausforderungen. Die vorliegende Arbeit untersucht, wie institutionelle Investoren mit den erhöhten Herausforderungen bei Direktinvestitionen in Schweizer Immobilien umgehen. Konkret wird dabei der typische Entscheidungsprozess von institutionellen Investoren entwickelt. Eine umfassende Recherche der bestehenden Literatur sowie die Konsolidierung von aktuellen Risikomanagementprozessen und Bewertungsmethoden stellen die Grundlage der Arbeit dar. Den empirischen Teil bilden acht Experteninterviews mit Vertretern von bedeutenden institutionellen Investoren, welche Auskunft über ihren Entscheidungsprozess gegeben haben. Mittels qualitativer Inhaltsanalysen werden die typischen Merkmale sowie die Differenzen identifiziert und ausgewertet. Die Untersuchungen ergeben, dass der typische Entscheidungsprozess in einen strategischen und einen operativen Teil unterteilt werden kann. Die Anlagekriterien sind Bestandteil des strategischen Teils. Typische Anlagekriterien sind ein Mindestinvestitionsvolumen von CHF 10 Millionen, eine objektspezifische Zielrendite sowie drei grundlegende Standortkriterien, welche wirtschaftlich starke Regionen, gute Verkehrsanbindung und hohe Bevölkerungsdichte beziehungsweise Zentrumslagen umfassen. Der operative Teil umfasst die Beschaffung, eine Vorprüfung, eine indikative Offerte, eine detaillierte Due Diligence, eine definitive Offerte sowie die Transaktion. Dabei werden ein Grundsatzentscheid nach der Vorprüfung und ein finaler Investitionsentscheid nach dem detaillierten Due-Diligence-Prozess getroffen. Beide Entscheide werden in Teams gefällt, wobei die Verantwortung für den finalen Entscheid dem höheren Kader obliegt. Bei den Bewertungsmethoden zeigt sich eine Konzentration auf die Discounted-Cash-Flow-Methode. Eine solche Konzentration lässt sich bei den Der Immobilieninvestitionsentscheid von institutionellen Investoren externen Schätzern nicht feststellen. Im Bereich des Risikomanagements stellt die konjunkturelle Entwicklung das grösste Risiko dar. Zusätzliche Risiken werden von den Investoren unterschiedlich priorisiert, wobei alle die Risiken vorwiegend über Preisanpassungen steuern. Im Allgemeinen zeigt sich, dass ein strukturierter Entscheidungsprozess eine Grundvoraussetzung für das erfolgreiche Verwalten von direkt investierten Immobilienportfolios ist. Diese Voraussetzung ist bei allen untersuchten Unternehmen gegeben. Der typische Prozess umfasst einen strategischen sowie einen operativen Teil mit sechs Teilschritten. Die Konzentration auf die Discounted-Cash-Flow-Methode bei den Bewertungen verlangt nach mehr Forschung, um die bekannten Nachteile in einem weiterentwickelten Modell zu reduzieren
