    Osteoarthritis is a degenerative health disorder where there is stiffness and inflammation in the joints which is characterized by damage to joint cartilage so that it can cause pain in the joints of the hands, neck, back, waist, and most often the knee joints. After doing therapy 6 times, the results of the assessment of increasing functional values โ€‹โ€‹in both knees, namely right knee tenderness T1 = 60mm to T6 = 50mm, right knee motion pain T1 = 70mm to T6 = 60mm, and silent pain T1-T6 = 10mm, and the left knee showed tenderness T1=30mm to T6=10mm, motion pain T1=65mm to T6=60mm, and silent pain T1-T6=10mm. Increased muscle value in both legs, namely the right knee flexor muscle T1= 3 to T6=4, on the left knee T1=4 becomes T6=5, and the right knee extensor muscle T1=3 becomes T6=4, and the left knee T1= 30mm becomes T6=3, becomes T6=4. Ultrasound, Trancutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and Exercise Therapy can help reduce pain, improve basic functional and increase muscle strength in cases of Bilateral Genu Osteoarthriti

    Plasticisation Effect on Thermal, Dynamic Mechanical and Tensile Properties of Injection-Moulded Glass-Fibre/Polyamide 6,6

    Polymer composites of polyamide 6,6 reinforced with short glass fibre were prepared by injection moulding, conditioned under dry, 50% relative humidity and wet. Investigations by TGA, DSC, DMA and tensile tests were conducted. TGA results revealed that glass fibre loading in PA 6,6 improve the thermal stability of the composites. DSC analysis revealed that the incorporation of glass fibre and moisture into the PA 6,6 matrix resulted in a remarkable decrease in the degree of crystallinity. DMA results revealed the glass transition temperatures are sensitive to moisture absorption and their values move to a lower temperature upon exposure to moisture. Incorporation of glass fibre into the polyamide 6,6 gives rise to a significant improvement in tensile modulus and tensile strength, while tensile strain is reduced. Exposure to different environments from dry to wet conditions resulted in a decrease in the strength and modulus, while tensile strains decrease

    E-cigarette use and perception among Malaysian: findings from text-mining analytics

    Introduction: E-cigarette use among adults are steadily increasing over the past few years. It is highlighted by the significant increases in online search queries and sharing of information through social media, such as Twitter. However, little attention has been given on understanding the reasons that led to e-cigarette use among Malaysian. In particular, study that leverage the opportunity to extract critical information from textual data in social media by using text mining technique. It is the aim of this paper to share the potential use of such technique by providing overview of processes and examples of the insights derived from the analysis. Methods: In this study, the textual analytics was used to identify topics and extract meanings from social media posts, in this case Twitter. The messages posted by Malaysian users from 2012 to early 2017 containing any of the selected keywords or phrase (i.e., #vape, #ecig, #vaping, #ejuice, #vapemalaysia) were collected using its search application programming interface (API). A total of 4211 messages containing original tweets were retrieved. Results: The result from the text mining analytics show that mainly there were three themes emerged on the reasons of e-cigarette use, namely: the sense of being part of a bigger community, e-cigarette is perceived more fun as compared to smoking conventional cigarette, and flavour of e-liquid. The result also shows that there was a spike on Twitter activity in 2015, where the topic on vape community were mostly posted. Discussion: The three themes identified in this study reveal initial reactions of public to Malaysian Government initiatives to regulate e-cigarette. It is believed that such findings would allow the government and medical practitioners to better understand public knowledge levels and identify current misunderstandings

    Influences of the input factors towards the success of an information system project

    This study tried out three input factors which theoretically affect the success of information system (IS) project. These factors were adopted from the McLeod and MacDonellโ€™s (M&Mโ€™s) project framework and then examined using survey toward the internal project stakeholder in a sampled institution. A stratified sampling was carried out based on the project experience ownership and then sent both online and paper-based questionnaires to 130 selected respondents. A number of 62 (48%) valid responses were analysed using a partial least squares-structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) software. The significances of path coefficients, the acceptances of hypotheses, the predictors relevances, and the moderate coefficient determination of the IS projectโ€™s success variable present the proposed model approval for the subsequent studies

    Measurement of Information System Project Success Based on Perceptions of the Internal Stakeholders

    In this research, adoption of the DeLone and McLean (D&M) information system (IS) success model and its adaptation with the project success theories were used to explore state of IS project success and to examine factors which affect its success. A survey towards the internal project stakeholder in an univerity with response rate 48% was carried out to collect the raw data for Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis. Majority of the participants (80.7%) stated that level of the project success is more than 50% where information quality, system quality, service quality, system use, and user satisfaction substantially explain 64.5% of variance in the success variable. The three quality factors together explain 43.2% of the variance of system use and 70.4% of the variance of user satisfaction. Although, a number of the findings were consistent with the prior studies, these findings also presented inconsistencies especially related to aspects of information quality and system use. Accordingly, researchers and practitioners will be stand to benefit from the information provided in this study and it is hoped that future research will build upon the findings reported herein as efforts are made to attain the IS project success especially in the sampled institution

    This paper elucidates the sequential revisions of an information system (IS) project framework across the research model development and its examinations. The authors adopted, adapted, and combined five concepts of the project management discipline and the information processing theory to revise the framework. Besides the use of this multi-dimensional perspective, the authors were also succeeded to present an interrelation between the framework and the examined model within a coherent representation. It was one of the essential points of this model development study, in particular for presenting the research focus. It may be trivial issue for the experts in the research fields, but the coherent illustration is one of the critical issues in the validity measurement of a model, whereas the inexpert ones may need a guideline to represent the interrelationship. Such points became the main contribution of this study to fill the gap in the literatures, particularly in the lack of comprehensive detail of a research model development

    This study examines the input factors that were reputed theoretically affecting the information system (IS) project success in term of the processional and causal perspectives. Adopting three of the four dimensions from the McLeod and MacDonellโ€™s (M&Mโ€™s) classification project framework dimensions, the study is initiated by inviting the internal project stakeholders in a sampled institution. A stratified sampling then identified 130 people who experienced in the projects as the sample, contacted 90 of the samples via e-mail andย  distributed the paper-based questionnaire into 40 certain people especially who are on the managerial level. A number of 62 (48%) valid responses, then were analyzed using the partial least squares-structural equation modelingย  (PLS-SEM) software, i.e. SmartPLS. The significances of the whole path coefficients, the acceptances of the overall hypotheses, the relevances of the three predictors relevances, and the moderate coefficient determination of the IS project success variable may present acceptability of the proposed model for the subsequent studies

    Mislabelling of nicotine content in electronic cigarette liquids in Malaysia: implications on public health

    Electronic cigarette (e-cig) is a battery-operated device which vaporises nicotine solution into a form of inhalable aerosol. The level of nicotine in the liquid for e-cig (e-liquid) may vary and the typical nicotine concentration reported is between 6 to 24 mg of per ml. Based on the National Electronic Cigarette Survey (NECS) 2016, 83.9% of e-cig adult users in Malaysia preferred eliquid with 6 mg/ml nicotine. In Malaysia, nicotine in products other than tobacco is regulated under the Poisons Act 1952, restricting its sale by licensed health professionals only. However, the sale of e-liquid containing nicotine is widespread and vapers are not assured of the accuracy of content versus that on the label of the e-liquid bottle. OBJECTIVE: To determine the actual nicotine concentration in selected e-liquid brands marketed in Malaysia. Methods: Samples (81 brands) obtained from respondents of the NECS 2016 were analysed using gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS) in selective ion mode (SIM) at a certified laboratory. Results: 15 samples labelled as no or zero nicotine were found to contain nicotine. Nine samples contained level of nicotine higher than what their labels indicated. Interestingly, 57 samples had nicotine concentrations that were lower than that indicated on the labels. The nicotine concentration percentage difference between labelled and result from analysis was found to be as low as from -99.16% to -1.28% in 64 samples, while in 4 samples the difference was higher; 0.083% to 163.0%, and the remaining 13 samples had no mention of nicotine concentration on their labels. Conclusion: Significant discrepancy was detected in nicotine concentration between the labelled and analysed values among the collected e-liquid samples. Strict regulation and enforcement is needed for e-cig liquids to ensure safety of users and compliance to current regulations on nicotine

    Development of Face Recognition on Raspberry Pi for Security Enhancement of Smart Home System

    Nowadays, there is a growing interest in the smart home system using Internet of Things. One of the important aspect in the smart home system is the security capability which can simply lock and unlock the door or the gate. In this paper, we proposed a face recognition security system using Raspberry Pi which can be connected to the smart home system. Eigenface was used the feature extraction, while Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was used as the classifier. The output of face recognition algorithm is then connected to the relay circuit, in which it will lock or unlock the magnetic lock placed at the door. Results showed the effectiveness of our proposed system, in which we obtain around 90% face recognition accuracy. We also proposed a hierarchical image processing approach to reduce the training or testing time while improving the recognition accuracy
