    Sentiment analysis of implementing the presidential threshold in the presidential election system in Indonesia

    The threshold Limits for presidential and vice presidential candidates have been a prominent topic since the introduction of direct presidential elections. Initially, the presidential threshold aimed to determine the candidates competing in the presidential election. However, over time, it has become a subject of prolonged debate, as it was perceived to undermine the rights of individuals in government and impede the principle of equality in democracy. This study utilizes qualitative research methods to gauge public sentiment regarding implementing the presidential threshold in Indonesia's presidential election system after the 2019 election. The research collected data through the Nvivo 12 Plus, utilizing sources such as Twitter (with the hashtag #presidentialthreshold) and online news media outlets, including Kompas, Detik, Tempo, Republika, and TribunNews. The study findings indicate that the percentage requirement is the most frequently discussed topic regarding the presidential threshold. Tempo is the online news media outlet that prominently highlights the issue. The analysis reveals that negative sentiment prevails in public opinion, comprising 63% of responses, while positive sentiment constitutes 37%. Tempo primarily represents positive sentiment, while Republika reflects negative sentiment. Positive public sentiment focuses on parliamentary support, while negative sentiment centers around candidates' opportunities

    PENGEMBANGAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PADA PERKULIAHAN PENDIDIKAN KEWARGANEGARAAN BERBASIS PROJECT CITIZEN DI UNIVERSITAS JAMBI

    Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa melalui model pembelajaran berbasis project citizen. Metode penelitian yang dipakai menggunakan kuasi-eksperimen (Quasi-experimental). Secara teknis yaitu melibatkan kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen yang tidak dipilih secara acak (nonrandom assigment) para partisipan ke dalam dua kelompok. Pendekatan penelitian dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Secara garis besar pendekatan ini digunakan bertujuan untuk membandingkan dua kelas baik kelas kontrol maupun kelas eksperimen secara statistik, berikutnya untuk melihat perbandingan rata-rata dua kelompok, serta untuk memperoleh hasil secara statistik untuk di analisis. Hasil-hasil yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini adalah: (1) melalui model pembelajaran berbasis project citizen pada mata kuliah wajib umum Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn), kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa memperoleh hasil yang lebih baik di bandingkan dengan mahasiswa yang tidak mendapat perlakukan model project citizen; (2) kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa ditinjau dari semua kategori berdasarkan kemampuan awal, yang mendapat perlakuan pembelajaran berbasis model project citizen lebih baik dari mahasiswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional; (3) dari setiap kategori yaitu rendah, sedang, dan tinggi, mahasiswa yang mendapat perlakuan model pembelajaran berbasis project citizen lebih baik dari mahasiswa yang diberikan pembelajaran konvensional; (4) hasil penilaian N-Gain, perolehan dari nilai tersebut memperlihatkan peningkatan berpikir kritis mahasiswa secara keseluruhan lebih baik melalui model pembelajaran berbasis project citizen dari mahasiswa yang diperlakukan konvensional; (5) secara keseluruhan, ditinjau dari setiap kategori rendah, sedang, maupun tinggi, berdasarkan kemampuan awal peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa melalui model pembelajaran berbasis project citizen juga memperlihatkan hasil yang lebih baik dari pembelajaran konvensional; (6) secara keseluruhan peningkatan kemampuan berpikiri kritis pada kelas eksperimen memperoleh klasifikasi tinggi baik pada kategori rendah, sedang maupun tinggi. The current study aimed to develop students’ critical thinking skills through project citizen-based learning model during selected course. To be specific, the method used in this research was quasi-experimental. Technically, it divided the groups into two and involved one control group and one selected experimental group which was assigned non-randomly. The current study tried to engage by applying quantitative approached to examine the outcome of the study. Generally speaking, the approach was utilized based on the need of the research as to compare the control and the experimental groups statistically, followed by the average comparison of the two groups, and the statistical results of the analysis. The results obtained from the study were: (1) the implementation of project citizen during Citizenship Education (CE) course showed that students who received the treatment were able to outperform students who do not in terms of critical thinking ability; (2) from students’ initial critical thinking ability, the progress also pictured a clear cut between those who received the treatment and those who used conventional learning where the former was able to perform better than the latter; (3) a similar result was also found in low-medium-high categories as the experimental students were able to excel the students in the control group; (4) the statistical N-Gain result also indicated that the improvement of students’ critical thinking ability attained by implementing project citizen during the course was slightly better than the conventional; (5) inclusively, after gathering the results from different aspects as they had been mentioned previously, project citizen was able to transform the students to be able to improve their critical thinking ability better than the students who used conventional learning; (6) likewise, the improvement made by the utilization of project citizen was classified as high whether amongst low, mediocre, or high-performing students

    The Effect of Mathematical Connections on the Mastery of Probability Material

    Abstrak. This study aims to analyze students' mathematical connections in terms of their initial ability to material opportunities. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method with the design of this research is the Two Group Pretest-posttest. The population of this study was all students of semester VI Physics Tadris UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, totaling 42 people. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling with research instruments in the form of test descriptions. Data were analyzed using a paired t-test test. From the calculation results, the value - ttable ≤ tcount ≤ + ttable is -2.02 ≤ 7.84 ≥ + 2.02, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted at the significance level α = 0.05. So it can be stated that there are differences in student learning outcomes with high initial mathematical abilities compared to low initial mathematical abilities. The results of the research correlation test (test phi (Φ)), where the calculation results obtained rtabel value ≤ rcount, namely 0.305 ≤ 0.873 then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted at the significance level α = 0.05. So that it can be revealed that the initial mathematical ability has a significant effect on student learning outcomes on probability.   Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis koneksi matematis mahasiswa dilihat dari kemampuan awal terhadap terhadap materi peluang. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi experimental dengan desain penelitian ini adalah the Two Group Pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa semester VI Tadris Fisika UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi yang berjumlah 42 Orang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh dengan Instrumen penelitian berupa tes uraian. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji ttest. Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh nilai -ttabel ≤ thitung ≤  + ttabel   yaitu -2,02 ≤  7,84 ≥ + 2,02, maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05. Sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar mahasiswa kemampuan awal matematik tinggi dibanding dengan keamampuan awal matematik rendah. Hasil penelitian dilanjutkan uji koreslasi (Uji phi (Φ)), dimana dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh nilai rtabel ≤ rhitung yaitu 0,305 ≤ 0,873 maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan awal matematik memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasi belajar mahasiswa pada materi probabilitas

    PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN INTERAKTIF ARTICULATE STORYLINE BERBASIS BUDAYA LOKAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MINAT BELAJAR PADA SISWA SD KELAS V TEMA 4 TAHUN AJARAN 2021/2022

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk media pembejaran interaktif articulate storyline berbasis budaya lokal pada materi IPA untuk meningkatkan minat belajar pada siswa SD kelas V tema 4 yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Metode penelitian pengembangan yang di gunakan adalah metode pengembangan 4D, yaitu (1) Tahap Pendefisian (Define), (2) Tahap Perencanaan (Design), (3) Tahap Pengembangan (Development), dan (4) Penyebaran (Dessiminate). Berdasarkan hasil validasi dari 3 validator ahli media dan ahli materi maka di peroleh hasil persentase rata-rata ahli materi 89,2% dan ahli materi dari tempat penelitian mendapatkan hasil persentase rata-rata 92,8%, validasi media rata-rata persentase 96,1% dan validasi media dari tempat penelitian mendapatkan hasil persentase rata-rata 94,6%, bisa di katakan dalam katagori sangat valid. Hasil keperaktisan media pembelajaran melalui lembar observasi di peroleh hasi 80%, bisa di katakan sangat praktis. Hasil keefektifan media pembelajaran di lihat dari tabel angket minat belajara siswa sebagai analisis data dan di hitung menggunakan softwere SPSS 25, sehingga perolehan hasil rata-rata dari uji normality mendapatkan hasil lebih besar dari 0,05 sehingga data dapat di katakan normal, kemudian di lanjutkan dengan tahap uji homogenity mendapatkan hasil yang homogen sehingga di lanjutkan ke tahap uji independent sample test bahwa minat belajara siswa menggunakan media pembeajaran interaktif articulate storyline dengan tidak menggunakan media pembelajaran interaktif articulate storyline perbedaan di tunjukkan dari hasil uji statistik

    Among the social issues that are being overlooked by the society is regarding the persons with disabilities (PWD) in our community. This group of people are commonly being discriminated either directly or indirectly in every aspects of their life especially in regards of employment. It is a must, to ensure that they are being seen as an equal as other normal citizens, protected by laws and policies. In Malaysia, there are laws which govern matters in protecting the rights of the PWD that are the Persons with Disabilities Act 2008 and Article 8(2) of Federal Constitution 1963. However, these statutes have yet to achieve its objectives in protecting the rights of the disabled. Therefore, the Persons with Disabilities Act 2008 and Article 8(2) of Federal Constitution 1963 are referred to in this study, to find the lacuna as well as opportunities on which part of employment sector does available for the service of the PWD in our country. The purpose which is clear upon us within this study is to reveal the gap in the existing law and knowledge to provide improvement better opportunities as well as to ensure that the rights of employment of the PWDare protected. In addition to that, in order to provide a comparative analysis of the study, the law on rights of employment of the PWD under Equality Act 2010 in the United Kingdom will be critically examined and its application will be reviewed and compared to Malaysian Persons with Disabilities Act 2008. We will look on how the enforcement of this particular law in the United Kingdom could assist us in Malaysia in determining and comparing what is the best treatment should be given to the PWD in our community in regards of employment in both public and private sector. It is our responsibility, the government, as well as the society, to take a good care of these people. This is an obligation if we wish to achieve "developed" status within this few years and to be achieve zero unemployment is a need towards achieving developed nation
