Best proximity point theorems for Ī±-nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces
In this paper, we discuss sufficient and necessary conditions for the existence of best proximity points for non-self-a-nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces. We obtain convergence results under some assumptions, and we prove the existence of common best proximity points for a family of non-self-a-nonexpansive mappings
Fixed points of Suzuki type generalized multivalued mappings in fuzzy metric spaces with applications
The aim of this paper is to introduce a class of multivalued mappings satisfying a
Suzuki type generalized contractive condition in the framework of fuzzy metric
spaces and to present fixed point results for such mappings. Some examples are
presented to support the results proved herein. As an application, a common fixed
point result for a hybrid pair of single and multivalued mappings is obtained. We
show the existence and uniqueness of a common bounded solution of functional
equations arising in dynamic programming. Our results generalize and extend various
results in the existing literature.http://link.springer.com/journal/11784hb201
On the existence of fixed points that belong to the zero set of a certain function
Let T : X -> X be a given operator and F-T be the set of its fixed points. For a certain function phi : X -> [0,infinity), we say that F-T is phi-admissible if F-T is nonempty and F-T subset of Z(phi), where Z(phi) is the zero set of phi. In this paper, we study the phi-admissibility of a new class of operators. As applications, we establish a new homotopy result and we obtain a partial metric version of the Boyd-Wong fixed point theorem
