    Popis faune lažištipavaca (Arachnida, Pseudoscorpiones) Hrvatske

    On the basis of literature references, information from other arachnologists, as well as redetermination of pseudoscorpions from the Croatian Natural History Museum Collection and the author’s collection, 109 taxa of pseudoscorpions have been established for the Croatian fauna, comprising 99 species and 10 subspecies, 26 genera, 10 families. Ten species are new for Croatia. Their rough distribution is outlined according to the geographical macroregions of Croatia.Na osnovi literaturnih podataka, podataka drugih specijalista, te taksonomske revizije materijala iz Zbirke lažištipavaca Hrvatskoga prirodoslovnog muzeja i vlastite zbirke, za faunu Hrvatske utvrđeno je 10 porodica i 26 rodova s 99 vrsta i 10 podvrsta, ukupno 109 svojti.     This is a contribution to the knowledge of troglobiont snails of the genus Zospeum Bourguignat 1856 (Gastropoda, Pulmonata, Ellobiidae) of the karst region in Croatia. Records of the various taxa are listed and a UTM distributional map of Croatia is presented. Six species and two subspecies were found.Rad je prinos poznavanju zemljopisnog rasprostranjenja troglobiontnih puževa iz roda Zospeum Bourguignat 1856 (Gastropoda, Pulmonata, Ellobiidae) na području krša Hrvatske.     Na području Hrvatske prisutna je svakodnevna, nažalost sve ubrzanija devastacija okoliša, odnosno postojećih krajobraza i staništa (biotopa), što posljedično vodi do smanjenja općeg biodiverziteta. Uz galopirajuću urbanizaciju i manje izraženu industrijalizaciju, u sve je većoj mjeri prisutno zapuštanje seoskog prostora, kojeg moramo shvatiti u daleko širem smislu nego što je to područje naselja, odnosno stalnog obitavanja seoske populacije. Osnovni problem predstavlja depopulacija šireg seoskog prostora i prestanak održavanja postojećih krajobraza uslijed nestanka tradicionalne poljoprivrede i pratećih krajobraznih vrijednosti, kao što su estetika prostora, staništa, biološka raznolikost, etnološka baština i drugo. Najočitiji indikator je nestanak stoke, koji je daleko izraženiji i od depopulacije stanovništva i predstavlja svojevrsni ekogenocid. Kao primjer možemo istaknuti područje Biokova gdje je 1926. bilo preko 23 000 grla stoke, dok je danas prisutno tek par stotina! Kako se postojeći krajobrazi više ne mogu održati stoljećima prisutnim sustavima gospodarenja, potrebno je osmisliti i ostvariti svjesno upravljanje okolišem te tako očuvati i unaprijediti stanje naših krajobraza. Osim vizualne krajobrazne vrijednosti naši poluprirodni krajobrazi, stari voćnjaci, vinogradi i oranice, livade, pašnjaci i drugi, te same naše izvorne pasmine i sorte, važni su elementi biodiverziteta Hrvatske, ali ujedno i najvažniji mehanizmi, oruđa za održavanje navedenih krajobraza i staništa, te posljedično biodiverziteta divljih populacija

    O rodu kosaca Lola Kratochvil (Opiliones: Laniatores)

    The species Lola insularis Kratochvíl, the sole representative of the genus, is redescribed on the basis of recently collected adult specimens. As the holotype is apparently lost, a neotype is designated from this new material. The previously unknown male and the genitalia of both sexes are described and illustrated for the first time. The genus appears distinct from the known phalangodid genera in both genitalic and somatic characters. Although the relationship of Lola Kratochvíl to other genera is not clear, it resembles in some characters both the Palearctic genus Ausobskya Martens and the Nearctic genera Sitalcina Banks, Texella Goodnight & Goodnight, and Phalangodes Tellkampf.Na temelju nedavno sakupljenih odraslih primjeraka ponovno je opisana vrsta Lola insularis Kratochvíl, jedini predstavnik roda. Buduci da je holotip izgubljen, iz novoprikupljenog materijala uspostavljen je neotip. Po prvi puta je opisan i ilustriran dosad nepoznati muzjak, kao i gra|a spolnih organa oba spola. Rod Lola pokazuje znatnu razliku u odnosu na poznate rodove porodice Phalangodidae, kako po građi genitalija, tako i po tjelesnoj građi. Iako srodnost roda Lola Kratochvíl s ostalim rodovima nije jasna, po nekim osobinama ovaj rod podsjeća na palearktički rod Ausobskya Martens, kao i na nearktičke rodove Sitalcina Banks, Texella Goodnight & Goodnight i Phalangodes Tellkampf

    Business opportunities analysis using GIS: the retail distribution sector

    [EN] The retail distribution sector is facing a difficult time as the current landscape is characterized by ever-increasing competition. In these conditions, the search for an appropriate location strategy has the potential to become a differentiating and competitive factor. Although, in theory, an increasing level of importance is placed on geography because of its key role in understanding the success of a business, this is not the case in practice. For this reason, the process outlined in this paper has been specifically developed to detect new business locations. The methodology consists of a range of analyzes with Geographical Information Systems (GISs) from a marketing point of view. This new approach is called geomarketing. First, geodemand and geocompetition are located on two separate digital maps using spatial and non-spatial databases. Second, a third map is obtained by matching this information with the demand not dealt with properly by the current commercial offer. Third, the Kernel density allows users to visualize results, thus facilitating decision-making by managers, regardless of their professional background. The advantage of this methodology is the capacity of GIS to handle large amounts of information, both spatial and non-spatial. A practical application is performed in Murcia (Spain) with 100 supermarkets and data at a city block level, which is the highest possible level of detail.     Ecological conditions, flora and vegetation of a large doline in the Mecsek Mountains (South Hungary)

    Vegetation-environment relationships were investigated in a large doline of the Mecsek Mts (South Hungary). To reveal the vegetation pattern, we collected vegetation data and environmental variables along a 243 m long transect. Atotal of 144 vascular plant species and 4 vegetation types were identified in the doline.We found that both the species composition and the vegetation pattern are significantly influenced by air temperature, air humidity, soil moisture and altitude. Our results confirm the putative temperature and vegetation inversion in the doline

    Marchantia paleacea is a new species for the Umbria Region and is rare in central and southern Italy. This record is in a Site of Community Importance (SCI) IT5220017 and a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) of the Natura 2000 EU-wide network due to the presence of the 7220* ‘Petrifying springs with tufa formation (Cratoneurion)’ Annexe I priority habitat. The particular environment, with a gorge and waterfall, created a very special microclimate that allowed the establishment of interesting liverworts and mosses
