    Leadership Communication Editorial Improving the Performance of Journalist in the General Direction Daily Newspapers Riau

    Leadership communication is the process of delivering the mind or feelings of a leader to subordinates by using the symbol - a symbol that is meaningful to both parties, in certain situations using a particular medium of communication to change attitudes or behavior of a number of people so that there are certain effects are expected. The purpose of the study was to determine the communication model editors, editorial director of communication and communication climate chief editors in improving the performance of journalists in the General Direction Daily Newspapers Riau.This study used a qualitative method that seeks to provide an overview of the events that have happened and interview techniques through a conversation with a specific intent by both sides, which gives interviewer and interviewee questions to answer. The validity of the data using triangulation technique that compares the data with the results of observation research documentation.From the results of this study found that communication editors in improving the performance of reporters needed communication up and down communication, there is also a form of communication climate chief editor and editorial director of communication in improving the performance of journalists in Daily Newspapers Public Policy, Riau if all such communications running smoothly performance of journalists in the General Direction Daily Newspapers Riau will be maximal.Keywords : Leadership Communication, Performance Of journalist, Newspaper

    Variasi Fonologis Kosakata Bahasa Arab: Bahasa Arab Fushā dengan Bahasa Arab Maroko

    This study aims to explore phonological variations between the Arabic vocabulary of fusha and Moroccan Arabic. This article uses a qualitative method with a literature approach in expressing phenomena that develop, especially in the aspect of phonological variation between Arabic fusha and Moroccan Arabic. The results of this study reveal that there are several phonological variations in the Arabic vocabulary of Fusha with Moroccan Arabic namely: (1) Sound reinforcement such as changes in low vowel sound / a / into moderate vowel sound / e /, (2) Lattice like weakening high vowel sounds / u / become a low vowel sound / a /, (3) Monophonization such as the merging of vowel sounds / a / and / u / into a single vowel sound / o /, (4) Dating which is divided into three categories such as anheresis (dating that occurs in some vocabulary such as aħmaru, azraqu, and asˤfaru become Ħmar, zraq, and sˤfar by removing the vowel / a / at the beginning of a word), syncope (some dating of vowel sounds in the middle such as / a /, vowel / u / and / a /, and vowel / i /, and apokope (The dating of the sound at the end such as the word ʃamsun becomes ʃams, and the word ħamma: mun becomes ħamma: m, the word baħrun becomes baħr by removing the sound / un / at the end of the word)

    Synthesis of carboxylated derivatives of poly(isobutylene-co-isoprene) by azide–alkyne “click” chemistry

    The final publication is available at Springer via https://dx.doi.org/10.1038/s41428-018-0130-yThe synthesis of carboxylated derivatives of poly(isobutylene-co-isoprene) (isobutylene–isoprene rubber, IIR) with substitution levels ranging from 1 to 4 mol% and different spacer lengths was accomplished through azide–alkyne Huisgen cycloaddition. Azido-functionalized IIR was first prepared by reacting brominated IIR with sodium azide to full conversion in a 90:10 tetrahydrofuran/N,N-dimethylacetamide mixture. The click reaction of azido-functionalized IIR with acetylenic acids, which was carried out using the copper(I) bromide/N,N,N′,N″,N″-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine catalyst system in tetrahydrofuran, yielded carboxylated IIRs. The products were characterized by 1H NMR and FT-IR spectroscopy, and their molecular weight was determined by size exclusion chromatography analysis.     A systematic review of grandparents’ influence on grandchildren’s cancer risk factors

    Many lifestyle patterns are established when children are young. Research has focused on the potential role of parents as a risk factor for non communicable disease in children, but there is limited investigation of the role of other caregivers, such as grandparents. The aim of this review was to identify and synthesise evidence for any influence grandparents’ care practices may have on their grandchildren’s long term cancer risk factors. A systematic review was carried out with searches across four databases (MEDLINE, Embase, Web of Science, PsycINFO) as well as searches of reference lists and citing articles, and Google Scholar. Search terms were based on six areas of risk that family care could potentially influence–weight, diet, physical activity, tobacco, alcohol and sun exposure. All study designs were included, as were studies that provided an indication of the interaction of grandparents with their grandchildren. Studies were excluded if grandparents were primary caregivers and if children had serious health conditions. Study quality was assessed using National Institute for Health and Care Excellence checklists. Grandparent impact was categorised as beneficial, adverse, mixed or as having no impact. Due to study heterogeneity a meta-analysis was not possible. Qualitative studies underwent a thematic synthesis of their results. Results from all included studies indicated that there was a sufficient evidence base for weight, diet, physical activity and tobacco studies to draw conclusions about grandparents’ influence. One study examined alcohol and no studies examined sun exposure. Evidence indicated that, overall, grandparents had an adverse impact on their grandchildren’s cancer risk factors. The theoretical work in the included studies was limited. Theoretically underpinned interventions designed to reduce these risk factors must consider grandparents’ role, as well as parents’, and be evaluated robustly to inform the evidence base further

Physical Review C, 100(4). doi:10.1103/PhysRevC.100.044324.The original publication is available at https://journals.aps.org/prc/A comprehensive systematic study is made for the collective β and γ bands in even-even isotopes with neutron numbers N = 88 to 92 and proton numbers Z = 62 (Sm) to 70 (Yb). Data, including excitation energies, B(E0) and B(E2) values, and branching ratios from previously published experiments are collated with new data presented for the first time in this study. The experimental data are compared to calculations using a five-dimensional collective Hamiltonian (5DCH) based on the covariant density functional theory (CDFT). A realistic potential in the quadrupole shape parameters V (β,γ ) is determined from potential energy surfaces (PES) calculated using the CDFT. The parameters of the 5DCH are fixed and contained within the CDFT. Overall, a satisfactory agreement is found between the data and the calculations. In line with the energy staggering S(I) of the levels in the 2γ + bands, the potential energy surfaces of the CDFT calculations indicate γ -soft shapes in the N = 88 nuclides, which become γ rigid for N = 90 and N = 92. The nature of the 02 + bands changes with atomic number. In the isotopes of Sm to Dy, they can be understood as β vibrations, but in the Er and Yb isotopes the 02 + bands have wave functions with large components in a triaxial superdeformed minimum. In the vicinity of 152Sm, the present calculations predict a soft potential in the β direction but do not find two coexisting minima. This is reminiscent of 152Sm exhibiting an X(5) behavior. The model also predicts that the 03 + bands are of two-phonon nature, having an energy twice that of the 02 + band.     T-Way Testing Strategies: A Critical Survey and Analysis

    Sampling techniques based on interaction testing (termed t-way strategies) have been known to be effective to detect bugs due to interaction. However, despite offering inherent advantages in terms of reducing the testing efforts and potentially costs, t-way strategies are still hardly accepted by practitioners and software engineering community at large. In order to address the aforementioned issues, this paper presents a critical survey and analysis of existing t-way strategies in order to identify their strong points and weaknesses, thereby forming a useful guideline for the future development of t-way strategy. Unlike earlier work which focuses on strategies that support uniform and variable strength t-way interaction, this survey also considers the contributions from research into input-output based relations
