Estudio y diseño de fuente electrica para aplicaciones de electroerosion

This paper proposes a resonant electrical source as solution for the machining of metallic materials, which is used in the process called electrical discharge machining (EDM). The source is structured in three stages: a DC source, a resonant inverter and an electrical circuit that emulates the shock in the dielectric. The investigation focuses initially on an analysis that orients the design of the different advantages and disadvantages of three power inverting topologies, which may be used in such applications: the full bridge resonant inverter, half bridge and the class E resonant inverter. As a result, gets a bipolar source, with inherent protection under short circuit, and ability to operate in open loop. The increase in efficiency is generated by a voltage switching and zero current. The design allows the connection of several modules in parallel to increase the output current and increasing the scope of application to different levels of roughing. To check the results, and as an aid the ATP/EMTP program is used. Este artículo propone como solución para el mecanizado de materiales metálicos, una fuente eléctrica resonante, la cual se emplea en el proceso denominado mecanizado por descarga eléctrica (EDM). La fuente se compone de tres etapas: una de alimentación DC, un inversor resonante y un circuito eléctrico que emula la descarga eléctrica en el dieléctrico. La investigación se centra inicialmente en un análisis que orienta el diseño de las diferentes ventajas y desventajas de tres topologías inversoras de potencia que es posible que se utilicen en éste tipo de aplicaciones: el inversor resonante en puente completo, en medio puente y el inversor resonante clase E. Como resultado final, se obtiene una fuente eléctrica bipolar, con protección inherente en condiciones de corto circuito, y con capacidad de operar en lazo abierto. El incremento en eficiencia se genera por medio de conmutación a voltaje y corriente cero. El diseño permite la conexión de varios módulos en paralelo para incrementar la corriente de salida y aumentar el margen de aplicación a diferentes niveles de desbaste. Para comprobar los resultados obtenidos y como herramienta de ayuda se utiliza el programa ATP/EMTP.

The location routing problem with facility sizing decisions

The location routing problem (LRP) integrates operational decisions on vehicle routing operations with strategic decisions on the location of the facilities or depots from which the distribution will take place. In other words, it combines the well-known vehicle routing problem (VRP) with the facility location problem (FLP). Hence, the LRP is an NP-hard combinatorial optimization problem, which justifies the use of metaheuristic approaches whenever large-scale instances need to be solved. In this paper, we explore a realistic version of the LRP in which facilities of different capacities are considered, i.e., the manager has to consider not only the location but also the size of the facilities to open. In order to tackle this optimization problem, three mixed-integer linear formulations are proposed and compared. As expected, they have been proved to be cost- and time- inefficient. Hence, a biased-randomized iterated local search algorithm is proposed. Recommendations system for Digital Signage environments based on a smart tv-smartphone cooperation scheme

Advertisement in Digital Signage environments demands the enrichment of the classic approach of recommendation focused on individuals by means of the delivery of ads for a group of people observing a public screen. Even though the accuracy that can be achieved in the recommendations is important, the degree of novelty perceived by the users is even more important. This balance can be obtained not only through the improvement of the recommendation algorithms, but also through an adequate multiscreen cooperation scheme. Therefore, this paper proposes an approach for the construction of a recommendations system for Digital Signage environments based on a Smart TV-Smartphone cooperation scheme.La publicidad en entornos de Digital Signage demanda el enriquecimiento de la aproximación clásica de recomendación orientada a individuos, a través de la entrega de anuncios para un grupo de personas que observa una pantalla pública. Aunque la precisión que se pueda lograr en las recomendaciones es importante, lo es aún más el grado de novedad que puedan percibir los usuarios. Combining heuristics with simulation and fuzzy logic to solve a flexible-size location routing problem under uncertainty

The location routing problem integrates both a facility location and a vehicle routing problem. Each of these problems are NP-hard in nature, which justifies the use of heuristic-based algorithms when dealing with large-scale instances that need to be solved in reasonable computing times. This paper discusses a realistic variant of the problem that considers facilities of different sizes and two types of uncertainty conditions. In particular, we assume that some customers’ demands are stochastic, while others follow a fuzzy pattern. An iterated local search metaheuristic is integrated with simulation and fuzzy logic to solve the aforementioned problem, and a series of computational experiments are run to illustrate the potential of the proposed algorithm.This work has been partially supported by the Spanish Ministry of Science (PID2019-111100RB-C21/AEI/10.13039/501100011033). Esquizofrenia resistente: artículo de revisión

Schizophrenia is a high-impact psychiatric disease that affects the quality of life of those who suffer from it with signs and symptoms that produce excitement, altered perception, delusional behavior, hallucinations and disorganized speech, they also present negative symptoms that cause disconnection from the environment , although the majority of patients with schizophrenia respond to treatment with first or second generation neuroleptics, up to a third of them do not respond and are resistant to treatment in the range of 13 to 43%, several hypotheses have been proposed regarding the underlying neurobiological mechanism of refractory schizophrenia, including dopamine hypersensitivity, hyperdopaminergic and normodopaminergic subtypes, glutamate dysregulation, inflammation and oxidative stress, and serotonin dysregulation, leading to resistance to drugs used to treat this disease.La esquizofrenia es una enfermedad psiquiátrica de alto impacto que afecta la calidad de vida de aquella que lo padece con signos y síntomas que producen excitación, alteración de la percepción, conductas delirantes, alucinaciones y habla desorganizada, también presentan síntomas negativos que ocasionan desconexión del entorno, si bien la mayoría de los pacientes con esquizofrenia responden al tratamiento con neurolépticos de primera o segunda generación, hasta un tercio de ellos no responden y son resistentes al tratamiento en el rango de 13 a 43 %, se han propuesto varias hipótesis con respecto al mecanismo neurobiológico subyacente de la esquizofrenia refractaria, incluida la hipersensibilidad a la dopamina, los subtipos hiperdopaminérgicos y normodopaminérgicos, la desregulación del glutamato, la inflamación y el estrés oxidativo, y la desregulación de la serotonina, produciendo resistencia a medicamentos para tratar esta enfermedad

Implementation of hydroponic crops as a pedagogical strategy for the promotion of research

En el presente proyecto se desarrollaron actividades pedagógicas para el fortalecimiento de los procesos educativos en la población estudiantil de la institución: Centro de Educación Básica San Valentín, en el departamento del Magdalena, a través de implementación de cultivos hidropónicos, como estrategias pedagógicas que desarrollan habilidades investigativas en infantes y jóvenes de la institución. Se trabajó bajo la metodología cualitativa con modelo de investigación acción participativa. La población estuvo conformada por estudiantes de esa institución. Se recogió la información por medio de las técnicas como relatorías individuales, institucionales, diario de campo, encuestas y observación directa. Se identificaron los contenidos curriculares del área de Biología para aplicar en los cultivos como un recurso generador de aprendizaje, con base en los cuales se realizó la planeación para las clases y el trabajo en los cultivos.In the present project, pedagogical activities were developed for the strengthening of educational processes in the student population of the San Valentín Basic Education Center, in the department of Magdalena, through the implementation of hydroponic crops as pedagogical strategies that develop investigative skills in infants and young people of the institution. We worked under the qualitative methodology with participatory action research model. The population was conformed by students of the San Valentín Basic Education Center, in Magdalena. The information was collected by means of techniques such as individual and institutional rapporteurships, field journals, surveys and direct observation. The curricular contents of the Biology area to be applied in the crops were identified as a learning instrument, based on which the planning for the classes and the work in the crops was carried out

Este catálogo compila todas las iniciativas de voluntariado que enmarcan y orientan las acciones de más de dos mil voluntarios anuales que aportan con su tiempo y conocimiento al fortalecimiento de las comunidades, sus organizaciones sociales y comunitarias que trabajan decididamente para construir una mejor sociedad. Durante los últimos tres años hemos apostado por el fortalecimiento de esta estrategia generando nuevas modalidades, diversos escenarios para el desarrollo del voluntariado, capacitando a los 19 líderes y los voluntarios en las sedes, siempre bajo la profunda convicción de que el mundo se puede cambiar cuando mucha gente pequeña, en lugares pequeños, haciendo cosas pequeñas, logran tocar la vida de las personas que más lo necesitan
