    REVIEW OF EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY: ATTITUDE TOWARDS PHYSICS AND BIOLOGY

    Purpose of the study: The attitudes of students when learning are behaviors that can be learned from psychology. This study aims to determine the comparison of students' attitudes towards physics and biology in Adhyaksa 1 Senior High School in Jambi City and the State Senior High School 8 in Batanghari Regency, Indonesia. Methodology: The sample used was 282 students consisting of 140 students at Senior High School Adhyaksa 1 Jambi, and 142 students at Senior High School 8 Batanghari, and this type of research was a comparative quantitative study with a survey design. The instrument used was a questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Main Findings: The results obtained indicate that there are differences in the attitudes of students at senior high school Adhyaksa 1 Jambi with Senior high school 8 Batanghari with a ratio of 0.046 attitudes toward physics and 0.032 attitudes toward biology. Shows that students' attitudes toward physics and biology have some comparisons in the Batanghari region and the Kota Jambi. Applications of this study: These findings can contribute to the realm of psychology to enhance students' positive attitudes towards physics and biology subjects in secondary education institutions, especially in the Indonesian region. Negative attitudes towards science, especially towards physics and biology such as those found in senior high schools in the Batanghari Regency and Jambi City, need to be pursued to become positive attitudes. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this research is to explore the quality psychology knowledge of students for Physics and biology teachers, especially in education.     The purpose of this study is to identify the attitude of pleasure in learning physics and interest in increasing the time to study physics. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive method analysis. This study involved 151 students at SMAN 10 Batanghari. The instrument used was an attitude questionnaire with an indicator of pleasure in learning physics and an interest in increasing the time to study physics. The results of this study are the indicators of pleasure in learning physics, namely in the category of Fair with a percentage of 47% and the indicator of interest in increasing the amount of time studying physics in the category of Fair with a percentage of 62.3%. Based on these results the attitude of students towards learning physics at SMAN 10 Batanghari is good enough.                Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi sikap kesenangan dalam belajar fisika dan ketertarikan memperbanyak waktu belajar fisika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan analisis metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini melibatkan 151 siswa-siswi di SMAN 10 Batanghari. Instumen yang digunakan berupa angket sikap dengan indikator kesenangan dalam belajar fisika dan ketertarikan memperbanyak waktu belajar fisika. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pada indikator kesenagan dalam belajar fisika yaitu pada kategori Cukup dengan presentase 47 % dan pada indicator ketertarikan memperbanyak waktu belajar fisika pada kategori Cukup dengan presentase 62.3 %. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran fisika di SMAN 10 Batanghari sudah cukup baik. &nbsp

    The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of attitudes to the concentration of student learning in physics at SMAN 10 Batang Hari. The sample used in this study was 121 with the data analysis technique used was purposive sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The statistics used are descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Where descriptive statistics display the mean, median, and mode. While inferential statistics use a correlation test. The results of this study are the relationship between attitudes to the concentration of learning in physics at SMAN 10 Batang Hari which is indicated by the sig size is 0.05

    This study aims to determine the relationship of hard work to the attitudes of students in science subjects at SMPN 4 Muaro Jambi. The research design used is associative quantitative with correlation design. The sampling technique used was total sampling with a total sample of 126 students. The analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Descriptive statistics display the mean, mode, minimum and maximum values. While the inferential statistics used are product-moment correlation tests. Based on the results of this study, it was found that there is a relationship of hard work towards students' attitudes in science subjects that can be seen from the Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.010 <0.05 which states there is a relationship between attitude to student hard work. Then the correlation coefficient of 0.668 which states that the level of correlation is strong

    Comparison of student attitudes towards natural sciences

    The attitude of students during the learning process is essential to be known by an educator to understand how to deal with students in the class. This study aims to determine how students 'attitudes towards science subjects and this study also aim to determine whether there is a comparison of students' attitudes towards natural science subjects in junior high schools in Indonesia. This research was conducted at some state junior high schools in Jambi. Specifically, the research sites were Junior High School 5, Junior High School 6, and Junior High School 26 in Jambi. The research design used in this study was a quantitative approach with survey methods. The research instrument was a science attitude questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that students' attitudes toward science subjects based on indicators of adoption of scientific attitudes, fun in learning science, and interest in increasing the time to study science were in good categories and also there are significant differences of students’ attitude towards science subjects in the three schools with a comparison value of 0.042 &lt; 0.05

Descriptive statistics used are the mean, median, mode, and standard deviation. Whereas the inferential statistics that can be used is the collaborative test. Based on research that has been done, there is a positive relationship between attitude and concentration in physics at SMAN 8 Jambi City which is also quite strong when viewed from the sig value generated, which is equal to 0.04
