Furthermore, to determine the effect of pharmacological concentrations of Zn as ZnO on the number of Escherichia coli and lactobacilli excreted per gram of feces of nursery pigs. In Exp. 1, 96 crossbred pigs were weaned and allotted to one of four dietary. Diets were developed by supplementing the basal diet with 3,000 ppm Zn as ZnO, 250 ppm Zn as Zn proteinate or Zn polysaccharide. In Exp. 2, 40 crossbred pigs were weaned and allotted to one of four treatments. Diets were developed by supplementing the basal diet with 750 ppm, 1,500 ppm or 3,000 ppm Zn as ZnO. In Exp. 1, supplementing 3,000 ppm Zn as ZnO in the nursery pigs diets improved growth performance (P [less than or equal to] 0.05) during the 28-d study, which could possibly be attributed to changes in substrate utilization of bacteria or increased fermentative capacity in the intestine. However, the positive growth performance improvement of pharmacological concentrations of Zn as ZnO had no effect under the environmental condition of Exp. 2: minimal stress, and minimal pathogen challenge

    Alternaria dauci e Alternaria solani são espécies / 24 h). O método desenvolvido neste trabalho foi comparado ao reconhecidamente difíceis de esporular em meios de cultura. Este tradicionalmente utilizado (BDA, 25 ºC, 12 h luz branca / 12 h trabalho teve o objetivo de verificar a influência de alguns meios escuro e raspagem da colônia). O meio V8-ágar, temperatura de 25 de cultura e fatores fisicos sobre o crescimento micelial e a ºC, luz NUV e raspagem das colônias exerceram influência mais esporulação dessas espécies. Testaram-se os meios de cultura BDA, marcante no crescimento e esporulação. O fotoperíodo 12 h luz NUV Aveia e V8; temperaturas (15ºC, 20ºC, 25ºC, 30ºC e 35ºC) / 12 h escuro foi o que mais estimulou a esporulação. Observou-se que, comprimentos de onda da luz durante a incubação (amarelo, azul, de modo geral, períodos de escuro maiores que os períodos de luz, branco, NUV, verde e vermelho); tipos de injúria aplicados à aplicados após injúria da colônia, favoreceram a esporulação.     Nannochloropsis oceanica cultivation in pilot-scale raceway ponds—from design to cultivation

    Raceways ponds are the microalgal production systems most commonly used at industrial scale. In this work, two di erent raceway configurations were tested under the same processing conditions to compare their performance on the production of Nannochloropsis oceanica. Biomass productivity, biochemical composition of the produced biomass, and power requirements to operate those reactors were evaluated. Water depths of 0.20 and 0.13 m, and culture circulation velocities of 0.30 and 0.15 m s1 were tested. A standard configuration, which had a full channel width paddlewheel, proved to be the most energy e cient, consuming less than half of the energy required by a modified configuration (had a half channel width paddlewheel). The later showed to have slightly higher productivity, not enough to o set the large di erence in energetic consumption. Higher flow velocity (0.30 m s1) led to a 1.7 g m2 d1 improvement of biomass productivity of the system, but it increased the energy consumption twice as compared to the 0.15 m s1 flow velocity. The latter velocity showed to be the most productive in lipids. A water depth of 0.20 m was the most suitable option tested to cultivate microalgae, since it allowed a 54% energy saving. Therefore, a standard raceway pond using a flow velocity of 0.3 m s1 with a 0.20 m water depth was the most e cient system for microalgal cultivation.     Multistage gold deposition in the Archaean Maria Lazara gold deposit (Goias, Brazil)

    The Maria Lazara gold deposit in the Archaean Guarinos greenstone belt, central Brazil, consists of quartz-carbonate veins formed in a ductile shear zone. Study of the sulphides and gold-bearing quartz-carbonate veins and veinlets of the potassic hydrothermal alteration zone reveals two stages of ore paragenesis. The first stage corresponds to S-rich arsenopyrite deposition and the second one to the precipitation of As-rich arsenopyrite and Bi-Te-Au-S phases. Modes of occurrence, textures and Ag contents of native gold define two types of gold. The first type is native gold with Ag contents greater than 5 wt % postdating the S-rich arsenopyrites.     Kinematografische Fotografien des kanadischen Künstlers Jeff Wall müssen vom Betrachter intellektuell erfasst werden und ergeben dann einen Kosmos an Deutungsmöglichkeiten, einen Kosmos der Imaginationen. Meine Dissertation durchleuchtet drei Werke Jeff Walls, die er im Abstand von jeweils etwa zehn Jahren schuf. Dabei werden wichtige Aspekte zur Erfassung und Deutung dieser Bilder erarbeitet. Als Betrachter und Leser wird man in den dargestellten Mikrokosmen zugrundeliegende Mythen erkennen, Menschen in ihrer Situation der Entfremdung, auch jenseits überkommener Begrifflichkeit, wahrnehmen und die gesellschaftlichen Veränderungen heraufziehen sehen, die sich in diesen kinematografischen Fotografien andeuten

    Beiträge zur Chemie flüchtiger Metallverbindungen für die chemische Gasphasenabscheidung: Hydrazin-basierte N-Donor-Liganden und neue Synthesestrategien

    Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit wurden flüchtige Verbindungen als potentielle Präkursoren für die Anwendung in Verfahren der chemischen Gasphasenabscheidung zur Abscheidung der Elemente oder der Elementnitride untersucht. Die Verbindungen sollten aufgrund ihrer hohen Flüchtigkeit unzersetzt in die Gasphase überführbar sein und oberhalb ihrer Verdampfungstemperatur eine möglichst niedrige Zersetzungstemperatur aufweisen. Mithilfe eines geeigneten Ligandendesigns sollten die Eigenschaften der Komplexverbindungen zudem derart gesteuert werden, dass niedrigschmelzende, idealerweise bei Raumtemperatur flüssige Verbindungen bereitgestellt werden können. So wurde eine Vielzahl stickstoffreicher Komplexe auf Basis von tert Butylhydrazin, N-Amino-amidinato- und -guanidinato- sowie N,N'-Dialkyltriazenido-Liganden untersucht. Es zeigte sich ein großer Einfluss der unterschiedlichen Substitution am Ligandenrückgrat auf die thermischen Eigenschaften. Hydrazineinheiten im Rückgrat sollten als Sollbruchstellen für den thermischen Abbau dienen und gleichzeitig Reduktionsäquivalente für die Abscheidung von Metallen bei niedrigen Temperaturen schaffen. Darüber hinaus wurden in industrienahen, anwendungsbezogenen Forschungen technisch relevante Präkursoren für die chemische Gasphasenabscheidung untersucht. Dabei standen neue Synthesestrategien zur Darstellung von Wolfram(VI)-oxo-alkoxiden und Wolfram(VI)-amido-amiden im Fokus sowie die Übertragung funktioneller Gruppen ausgehend von unterschiedlich substituierten Aluminaten. Durch letztere war es beispielsweise möglich, neben der Übertragung von Dimethylamido-Gruppen auf Refraktärmetallchloride, tert-Butyl- und Hydrid-Gruppen derart zu übertragen, dass die etablierte Phosphorquelle in CVD-Prozessen tert-Butylphosphin über ein industriell attraktives Eintopfverfahren dargestellt werden konnte. Diese Arbeit kombiniert somit grundlagenbasierte Forschung zur Entwicklung potentieller Präkursoren für die chemische Gasphasenabscheidung mit technologisch relevanter Forschung zu etablierten Präkursoren
