Uterine carcinosarcoma is an infrequent, yet an invasive malignant tumor of the uterus. We presented the case of a 76-yearold menopausal woman with the first sparse bleeding and ultrasound findings of a large polypoid formation filling the uterine cavity. Ultrasound, specially more advanced techniques as 3D ultrasound and 3D Color Doppler ultrasound provide very useful data not only in the recognition of tumor mass, but also in terms of the structure, differentiation and stage of the malignancy. At the present stage issues of ensuring personal economic security are becoming particularly relevant and especially it is important in the context of local and global pandemics. This problem area has a complex character, and it is characterized by its multiplicity that determines the necessity to study the relevant issues in the context of the professional identity of the individual. From our point of view the most interesting feature is the development of problems of personal economic security in the physical culture and sports industry. It is worth taking into account the fact that the problems of ensuring economic security in the physical culture and sports industry are in most cases considered at the level of major manufacturers of sports products, international sports organizations and the state. In this regard the issues of ensuring personal economic security of professional athletes as subjects of international sports remain largely outside the scope of these studies. This circumstance clearly demonstrates the fact that there is a “dialectical gap” between the sphere of economic security in the physical culture and sports industry and the issues of personal economic security of professional athletes that directly influences on the prospects for the development of spectator sports and sports of higher achievements

Ovarian Strumal Carcinoid Tumour: Case Report

    Get PDF
BACKGROUND: Ovarian strumal carcinoid is a germ cell tumour characterised by a mixture of thyroid tissue and carcinoid. Ovarian struma is a very rare occurrence with 0.3-1% incidence of all ovarian tumours and 3% of mature teratomas. Primary carcinoid ovarian tumours are still uncommon as a part of mature teratoma or mucinous cystadenoma. There are four major variants of a carcinoid tumour: insular, trabecular, strumal and mucinous. A strumal carcinoid is an unusual form of ovarian teratoma composed of an intimate admixture of thyroid/carcinoid tissues.CASE REPORT: This is a case report of a 59-year old woman with a 5-year clinical history of perimenopausal uterine bleeding and three explorative curettages. Gynaecological and ultrasound examinations revealed ovarian enlargement with a diameter of 50 mm with hypoechoic zones suspected of benign teratoma. The diagnostic test such as Ca-125, AFP, free-T4 and TSH was in normal range. A smooth, solid right ovarian 50 an mm-size tumour, as well as small amount of fluid in the Douglas pouch, was found during the total abdominal hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy and staging biopsy.  The histopathology revealed teratoma with strumal carcinoid tumour IA stage according to AJCC 2010 of the right ovary and negative cytopathology of the fluid from the Douglas pouch. On the postoperative 2-year control, the patient was tumour free, and Ca-125, free-T4 and TSH were in normal range.CONCLUSION: We would like to point out those specific diagnostic tools, such as ultrasound and Ca-125 have low specificity and sensitivity in detection of this rare ovarian malignancy

This article is devoted to the study of the Islamic model of accounting and reporting. The study carried out a comparative analysis of the Anglo-American, continental, Latin American and Islamic models of accounting and financial reporting, which made it possible to identify their distinctive features, as well as targeting one or another group of stakeholders. In addition, a comparative analysis of traditional and Islamic accounting was carried out, which showed the uniqueness of the Islamic accounting and financial reporting model, which consists in the dominance of postulates of a religious and ethical nature, as well as ideas of social responsibility. A review of domestic and foreign sources made it possible to identify five areas of research in the field of the Islamic accounting model and determine the development vector of the Islamic accounting model from the prerequisites that influenced its emergence and specifics to the directions that determine the further prospects for its development

We present our experience of diagnosing immature ovarian teratoma with 2D and 3D vaginal ultrasound. A 29-year-old female patient with no symptoms was examined for routine gynecology examination before the start of an in vitro fertilization program. The patient had two previous surgeries both for ovarian cystectomy and histopathology finding of mature cystic ovarian teratoma. Left oophorectomy was performed for complex ovarian mass that demonstrated immature ovarian teratoma on final pathology. The neoplasm was well-differentiating (low-grade), according to two-tiered (low- and high-grade) system, and in IA stage, according to the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC). The oncologist's council proposed that no treatment is needed. Keywords: 2D/3D ultrasonography, Immature teratoma, Ovarian teratoma. Molecular and Immunohistochemical Characteristics of Complete Hydatidiform Moles

    Get PDF
Molar pregnancy is a gestational trophoblastic disease that belongs to the category of precancerous lesions. On the other end of the spectrum are gestational trophoblastic neoplasms such as invasive mole, choriocarcinoma, placental site trophoblastic tumor and epithelioid trophoblastic tumor, which are considered malignant tumors. Based on defined histopathological criteria, molar pregnancy is divided into partial and complete hydatidiform mole. Especially in the case of early complete mole, the diagnosis can be quite challenging and often necessitates additional molecular or immunohistochemical methods. The aim of this study was to assess the importance of additional molecular and immunohistochemical methods to accurately diagnose complete hydatidiform mole and to stress the importance of correct diagnosis and close follow-up of these patients. A total of 367 consecutive cases of spontaneous abortion were analyzed in a 3-year period. Eight cases with histopathological diagnosis of complete molar pregnancy were selected for further analysis. Apart from standard microscopic analysis, additional molecular and immunohistochemical analyses were performed in all eight cases. Most of the histopathological characteristics of complete molar pregnancy were present in all cases, together with complete absence of positivity for the p57 immunohistochemical marker in the cytotrophoblasts and villous stromal cells. The molecular analysis revealed androgenetic diploidy in seven cases and biparental diploidy in one case with more than three consecutive complete molar pregnancies. Additional immunohistochemical and molecular methods can considerably aid in the correct diagnosis of molar pregnancy

Centriolar satellites associate with condensed chromatin in early mouse oocytes and undergo redistribution during transition to dictyate

    No full text
In eukaryotic cells during interphase, the centrosome is positioned close to the nucleus by a yet unidentified mechanism and determines the basic cell polarity. The aim of this study was to trace the dynamics of centriolar satellite protein PCM-1 in newborn mouse ovaria. Ovarian sections of newborn mice were subjected to immunofluorescent analysis. The intracellular localization of PCM-1 in prophase I oocytes was compared between 1- and 2-day-old mice. In oocytes from 1-day-old ovaria, double or broader single discrete PCM-1 aggregates with perinuclear localization were observed in association with condensed chromatin regions. In oocytes from 2-day-old ovaria, PCM-1 structures were less discrete and chromatin was homogenous. In some oocytes, single or double PCM-1 aggregate was still recognizable, while in others, the PCM-1-containing structure was crescent-shaped. Our study describes for the first time reorganization of centriolar satellite protein PCM-1 in prophase I oocytes from developing primordial follicles correlated with chromatin changes during transition to dictyate
