    Investigation of the Kinetic Model for the Process of Liquid Drops Formation in the Form of Capsule

    Capsulation as a technological principle can provoke an activation of innovative activity in food branch and become a cause of elaboration and introduction of new scientifically grounded technologies of raw material processing, creation of new commodity forms, comfortable in consumption, increase of production volumes and effectiveness of food production use, elaboration and application of the modern principally new technologies, technological processes, methods and equipment that in common can essentially influence the state and development of food technologies.The model of capsulation of liquids of different origin by extrusion method was elaborated taking into account the regularities of gravitation and using the methods of system analysis. Kinetics of capsule structure creation, regularities of getting round forms with different diameter were determined. The gotten regularities are the base of scientific-technological principles of getting oil-fat production, capsulated with thermo- and acid-stable properties. It was theoretically proved, that the main factor that limits the process of drop formation and separation is a stage of formation of embryo and drop itself. The time of embryo and drop formation is much more (in 20 times approximately) than the time of bridge rupture. The presence of coat of capsulated liquids essentially influences the sizes of bridge and drop and the time of processes of drop formation and separation. At that, the increase of relative coefficient of surface tension in 3 times increases a drop radius in 1,6 time and full time of drop formation and separation in 2,5 times.     Geoadditive Regression Modeling of Stream Biological Condition

    Indices of biotic integrity (IBI) have become an established tool to quantify the condition of small non-tidal streams and their watersheds. To investigate the effects of watershed characteristics on stream biological condition, we present a new technique for regressing IBIs on watershed-specific explanatory variables. Since IBIs are typically evaluated on anordinal scale, our method is based on the proportional odds model for ordinal outcomes. To avoid overfitting, we do not use classical maximum likelihood estimation but a component-wise functional gradient boosting approach. Because component-wise gradient boosting has an intrinsic mechanism for variable selection and model choice, determinants of biotic integrity can be identified. In addition, the method offers a relatively simple way to account for spatial correlation in ecological data. An analysis of the Maryland Biological Streams Survey shows that nonlinear effects of predictor variables on stream condition can be quantified while, in addition, accurate predictions of biological condition at unsurveyed locations are obtained

    The Krotov combining construction of perfect 1-error-correcting binary codes from 2000 and a theorem of Heden saying that every non-full-rank perfect 1-error-correcting binary code can be constructed by this combining construction is generalized to the qq-ary case. Simply, every non-full-rank perfect code CC is the union of a well-defined family of μ\mu-components KμK_\mu, where μ\mu belongs to an "outer" perfect code CC^*, and these components are at distance three from each other. Components from distinct codes can thus freely be combined to obtain new perfect codes. The Phelps general product construction of perfect binary code from 1984 is generalized to obtain μ\mu-components, and new lower bounds on the number of perfect 1-error-correcting qq-ary codes are presented.Comment: 8 page

    Background: Diabetes Mellitus type 2 (T2DM) has been becoming a globalworld health problem affecting countries with different income level (Mogre,Johnson, Tzelepis, Shaw, & Paul, 2017). The low level of compliance and theincreased level of the diabetes distress has been closely associated with destituteglycemic control. Some diabetes-specific psychological variables may beimportant for psychological status of patients and glycemic control to theachievement of individual glycemic targets (Indelicato et al., 2017). Therefore,alexithymia – psychological clinical characteristic of the reduced emotionalcomponent that could have been associated with the metabolic syndrome inpatients with type 2 diabetes, for example (Lemche, Chaban, & Lemche, 2014). Itis important to consider the clinical evaluation of mental aspects in patients withT2DM, however, in order to preventing potentially unfavorable self-care behaviorleading to complications of this disease, including a decrease in the quality of lifelevel (Conti et al., 2017). Patient's level of the quality of life is the one of mainimportant components of treatment adherence and clinical decision making forimproving the effectiveness of therapy (Chaban, Khaustova, & Bezsheiko, n.d.).The low level of medication compliance and quality of life could have beenaddicted in consequence to non-adherence and respectively – inefficiency oftherapy of these patients.     Despite the relatively low incidence of testicular germ cell tumors (TGCT), which amount only 1% of all cancers in men worldwide in the epidemiological aspect, unlike tumors of other localizations, it does not become more frequent with age, but reaches its peak in young men of working age what attaches to the problem not only great medical, but also social significance.Estimation of angiogenesis in the tumor is considered as one of the markers for predicting the course of disease, presence of metastases and sensitivity to antitumor antiangiogenic therapy. At the same time, data concerning the study of the mechanisms of blood vessels formation, the work out of methods for estimation of tumorous angiogenesis as well as the use habits of IHC markers of endothelial cells (CD31 and CD34) for assessing the aggressiveness and prognosis of TGCT and, in particular, EC, are absent in the available literature sources.Investigation of peculiarities of neoangiogenesis in the dynamics of testicular embryonal carcinoma progression revealed: significant increasing of relative area of CD31 and CD34 expression as well as vascular density during transition from the initial to the late stages of tumor progression; formation of intratumoral vessels in the embryonal carcinoma occurs by angiogenesis and vasculogenesis with participation of progenitor endothelial cells; embryonal carcinoma is characterized by vasculogenic mimicry in the form of channels formation that do not have endothelial lining

    The paper is dedicated to the relevant problem that pertains to gas turbine engines diagnosing. The issue con- sidered in the paper is how to diagnose gas turbine engines using the methods of pattern recognition: in par- ticular the method of “binary tree” and the “nearest neighbor” method. In computer science, a binary tree is a tree data structure in which each node has at most two children, which are referred to as the left child and the right child. A recursive definition using just set theory notions is that a (non-empty) binary tree is a triple (L, S, R), where L and R are binary trees or the empty set and S is a singleton set. Some authors allow the binary tree to be the empty set as well. I n computing, binary trees are seldom used solely for their struc- ture. Much more typical is to define a labeling function on the nodes, which associates some value to each node.
