Fronteras abiertas, culturas negadas: la inmigración limítrofe en 'Presagio de Carnaval' de Liliana Bodoc

This research article analyzes with a qualitative methodology the representations about immigration bordering on Liliana Bodoc’s Presagio de Carnaval, one of the few examples of the Argentine narrative that incorporates - as a subject of fiction and reflection - one of the many otherness - es denied in the national history. To this end, we resorted to the positions made by different sources and studies, from which we try to deconstruct the processes that have contributed to the configuration of the social subjectivities that interact in the plot. We argue that the absence of works that are versed on the argument reflects the tensions of an identity that must still deals with to the reality of its past

THE LEGAL LANGUAGE IN THE JUDICIAL DOCUMENTATION OF THE EIGHTEENTH CENTURY

El artículo de investigación que aquí presentamos es el fruto de una serie de estudios realizados con documentación judicial del siglo XVIII depositada en el Archivo General de la Nación Argentina. Nuestro objetivo es describir las características del lenguaje jurídico contenido en los expedientes penales destacando su especificidad y especialización, en épocas en que las prácticas judiciales recaían en manos de actores legos y letrados. Con esta contribución intentamos mejorar el conocimiento de un aspecto de la lengua que aún carece de trabajos para el período que nos ocupa.This research article is the result of studies carried out with judicial documentation of the eighteenth century contained in the General Archive of the Argentine Nation. Our aim is to describe the characteristics of the legal language contained in criminal records, highlighting its specificity and specialization, in times when judicial practices were in hands of lay judges and professional judges. With this contribution we are trying to improve our knowledge of an aspect of the language that still lacks jobs for the period under consideration

Breastfeeding education: where are we going? A systematic review article

Background: UNICEF (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund) and WHO estimate that if all babies were breastfed for at least the first six months of their lives, the rate of morbidity and malnutrition would sig-nificantly decrease all over the world. In this view, these two organizations promoted a worldwide campaign for breastfeeding, creating the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) that encourages good practices for the promotion of breastfeeding in hospitals. The aim of our study was to review the available evidence regarding the positive effects of breastfeeding, in order to suggest to most appropriate strategy to support it. Methods: The main databases including Scopus, PubMed, MEDLINE, Google scholar and Science Direct were researched to obtain the original papers related to breastfeeding education. The main terms used to literature search were "Breastfeeding education", Breastfeeding support", and “Breastfeeding healthcare policy”. The timeframe in-cluded the obtained articles was from 1980 to 2015. Results: Our analysis confirms that healthcare providers play a pivotal role in education and encouraging mothers to begin and continue breastfeeding. In this view, the adequate training of healthcare providers seems to be mandatory in order to support this practice. Moreover, adequate facilities are needed in order to promote and support breastfeeding. Conclusion: Considering the available evidence, breastfeeding should be supported among all the mothers. Based on the positive data emerging from the public awareness campaign in different Countries of the world, we strongly en-courage an accurate training for doctors and midwives and the implementation of adequate facilities in order to sup-port breastfeeding

School stories and stories of students at the English Teaching Program: Love for teaching

El presente artículo se gesta en el marco de una investigación mayor en el Grupo de Investigación en Educación y Estudios Culturales de la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, Argentina, finalizada en el año 2017. El objetivo principal fue interpretar, a partir de las biografías escolares de estudiantes del Profesorado de Inglés, las enseñanzas que dejaron su huella y se manifiestan presentes en las prácticas iniciales, más precisamente en el momento de realizar sus Residencias Docentes II. Con el fin de explorar las huellas docentes en toda su variedad y complejidad, nos inclinamos por un enfoque cualitativo y adoptamos una perspectiva interpretativa y narrativa. Utilizamos variados instrumentos de recolección de datos que nos permitieron abordar las biografías del grupo de participantes desde diferentes perspectivas: entrevistas biográficas y focales, registrosetnográficos, entrevistas rápidas y observación documental. De esta manera, la investigación realizada nos permitió identificar experiencias que dejaron su huella y se hicieron presentes en las prácticas pre-profesionales desde el intelecto y el afecto y nos posibilitó generar dos grandes categorías: amor por la docencia y gusto por el idioma inglés. En esta ocasión, nos concentraremos en la primera. Las líneas de profundización situadas de esta investigación nos hablan de los sentidos de la experiencia en términos de las actitudes afectivas e intelectuales recuperadas a partir de las trazas que dan cuenta de recuerdos, deseos y emociones que constituyen las huellas de lo que hoy son como docentes. Los resultados que de aquí se desprendieron podrían ser transferidos al campo de la formación docente y tenerun alcance glocal que permita colaborar en la construcción del perfil profesional de futuras personas docentes.This article originates in the framework of a major research carried out by the Research Group in Education and Cultural Studies, National University of Mar del Plata and finished in 2017. Its main objective was: to interpret, from the school biographies of students of the English Teaching Program the teachings that left their marks and are present in the initial practices, more precisely at the time of carrying out their Teaching Residences II. To explore the traces of teachers in all their variety and complexity, we adopted an interpretative narrative perspective. We collected data using instruments that allowed us to approach the biography of the participants from different perspectives: biographical and focal interviews, ethnographic record, flash interviews and observations. In this way, the research conducted allowed us to know the teachings that left their mark and are present in pre-professional practices from intellect and affection allowing us to create two broad categories: love for teaching and pleasure for the English language. This time we will concentrate on the first one. The deepening lines that define this research tell us about the senses of experience in terms of the affective and intellectual attitudes recovered from the traces that give account of memories, desires and emotions that constitute teachers today. The results of this research can be transferred to different contexts of teacher education having a glocal scope collaborating in the construction of the professional profile of future teachers.Fil: Branda, Silvia Adriana. The neurobiological basis of cognitive side effects of electroconvulsive therapy : a systematic review

Altres ajuts: M.C. is founded by the Sara Borrell postdoctoral contract [CD20/00189].Decades of research have consistently demonstrated the efficacy of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD), but its clinical use remains somewhat restricted because of its cognitive side effects. The aim of this systematic review is to comprehensively summarize current evidence assessing potential biomarkers of ECT-related cognitive side effects. Based on our systematic search of human studies indexed in PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Knowledge, a total of 29 studies evaluating patients with MDD undergoing ECT were reviewed. Molecular biomarkers studies did not consistently identify concentration changes in plasma S-100 protein, neuron-specific enolase (NSE), or Aβ peptides significantly associated with cognitive performance after ECT. Importantly, these findings suggest that ECT-related cognitive side effects cannot be explained by mechanisms of neural cell damage. Notwithstanding, S-100b protein and Aβ40 peptide concentrations, as well as brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) polymorphisms, have been suggested as potential predictive biomarkers of cognitive dysfunction after ECT. In addition, recent advances in brain imaging have allowed us to identify ECT-induced volumetric and functional changes in several brain structures closely related to memory performance such as the hippocampus. We provide a preliminary framework to further evaluate neurobiological cognitive vulnerability profiles of patients with MDD treated with ECT

El debate contemporáneo en Trabajo Social: su traducción como contenido curricular

La ponencia que compartimos en estas Jornadas propone algunas claves de reflexión en torno a la trayectoria del Trabajo Social en Argentina, enfatizando en el debate contemporáneo que viene sosteniendo el colectivo profesional mediante una interlocución que va progresivamente fortaleciéndose con las contribuciones de la teoría social clásica y contemporánea. Para esta producción es central la experiencia incipiente que venimos construyendo como equipo docente a cargo de la asignatura “Debate Contemporáneo en Trabajo Social” perteneciente a la Licenciatura en Trabajo Social de la Facultad de Trabajo Social de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata. Asimismo, estas reflexiones vienen siendo enriquecidas por los recorridos realizados en la formación de grado y de posgrado en este campo específico, así como en investigación y en el ejercicio profesional, y por la participación en instancias de intercambio generadas por las organizaciones gremiales y académicas de Trabajo Social. Diseño de un prototipo de dispositivo con tecnología bluetooth (D.A.B) para la transferencia de datos - Fase modulo comunicación

RESUMENEste artículo dará a conocer el resultado de una investigación cuya intención es diseñar un prototipo en este caso es un Dispositivo de Almacenamiento Bluetooth con capacidad de transferir archivos, sin embargo este artículo se centraran en la fase de comunicación en cual determinaran la velocidad de transmisión, alcance y consumo de los dispositivos que se van utilizar, partiendo de un modelo de comunicación Maestro / esclavo, teniendo en cuenta que se utilizó la versión bluetooth 2.0 de tal manera que sea capaz de comunicarse con otro dispositivos de forma inalámbrica. Para desarrollar esta comunicación se utilizó dos micro controladores en este caso el Arduino y dos módulos Bluetooth HC-05 y se utiliza la metodología V que se caracteriza por ser una investigación aplicada hacia las TIC y además permite unificar los dos procesos que son: desarrollo del hardware y desarrollo del software.ABSTRACTThis article will present the results of an investigation whose purpose is to design a prototype in this case is a storage device with Bluetooth capability to transfer files, however this article will focus on the communication phase in which determine the transmission rate, scope and use of the devices to be used, based on a model of Master / slave communication, given that the bluetooth version 2.0 so that it is able to communicate with other wireless devices are used. To develop this communication two micro controllers in this case the Arduino and two HC-05 Bluetooth modules and methodology used V which is characterized as an applied research towards ICT is used and allows to unify the two processes are: development hardware and software development
