The negative parity states of 11^{11}B and 11^{11}C were studied based on the calculations of antisymmetrized molecular dynamics(AMD). The calculations well reproduced the experimental strengths of Gamov-Teller(GT), M1M1 and monopole transitions. We, especially, focused on the 3/233/2^-_3 and 5/225/2^-_2 states, for which GT transition strengths were recently measured. The weak M1M1 and GT transitions for the 3/233/2^-_3 in 11^{11}B and 11^{11}C are described by a well-developed cluster structure of 2α2\alpha+tt and 2α2\alpha+3^3He, respectively, while the strong transitions for the 5/225/2^-_2 is characterized by an intrinsic spin excitation with no cluster structure. It was found that the 3/233/2^-_3 state is a dilute cluster state, and its features are similar to those of the 12^{12}C(02+)(0^+_2) which is considered to be a gas state of three α\alpha clusters.Comment: 10 pages, 4 figures, submitterd to Physical Review

Secondary posttraumatic changes in the brain often determine the clinical flow during traumatic brain injury (TBI). Prevention and early detection of secondary hemorrhagic progression (SHP) is very important  for determination of the treatment strategy in patients with brain contusion. We studied the dynamic of brain contusion and its impact on the clinical course of brain injury. We found that the secondary hemorrhagic progression of contusion occurs in 43% and can be detected at the place of primary brain damage, and far away from it, and often can be seen in patients with a subdural hematoma. The larger contusion has the greater probability of progression and needs for surgical decompression. Progression is associated with the significant risk of clinical deterioration and mortality.Conclusions. Treatment tactics depends on severity of volumetric effect on the surrounding brain structures and manifestations of herniation syndrome. Key words: traumatic brain injury, brain contusion, secondary hemorrhagic progression of contusion

Purpose. Investigation of the optimal current distribution between source, shunt active filter and reactive compensator of a three-phase three-wire system that provides consumption of a sinusoidal symmetric current under asymmetric source voltages with minimal power losses was provided. Methodology. The tasks were solved by conducting theoretical and experimental studies. The main provisions of the theory of electrical circuits, the apparatus of mathematical analysis, methods for solving linear differential and algebraic equations, elements of matrix and complex calculus and vector algebra are used. During the development, modern methods and software of computer simulation of electrical engineering complexes and dynamic systems were applied: Matlab-Simulink, MATHCAD. Originality. The principle of compensating current distribution between PAF and reactive compensator of a three-phase three-wire power system with asymmetric sinusoidal voltage was proposed at which the input current is equal to the positive-sequence active current and rms value of PAF current is minimal. The feasibility to compensate the inactive sinusoidal Fryze current by reactive elements under arbitrary combination of load and source parameters was proved and expression for direct calculation of the reactive compensator parameters for generation of inactive Fryze current in the source unbalanced mode was obtained. Practical value. The simulative example for transmission line load showed that combined application of PAF and reactive compensator with the specified distribution of compensating currents ensured a reduction of power losses in 3.273 times and rms value of the SAF current is 12.9 % of rms value total compensation current. Mirror duality and noncommutative tori

In this paper, we study a mirror duality on a generalized complex torus and a noncommutative complex torus. First, we derive a symplectic version of Riemann condition using mirror duality on ordinary complex tori. Based on this we will find a mirror correspondence on generalized complex tori and generalize the mirror duality on complex tori to the case of noncommutative complex tori.Comment: 22pages, no figure

Mirror symmetry and quantization of abelian varieties

The paper consists of two sections. The first section provides a new definition of mirror symmetry of abelian varieties making sense also over pp-adic fields. The second section introduces and studies quantized theta-functions with two-sided multipliers, which are functions on non-commutative tori. This is an extension of an earlier work by the author. In the Introduction and in the Appendix the constructions of this paper are put into a wider context.Comment: 24 pp., amstex file, no figure

    Mixed-symmetry massive fields in AdS(5)

Free mixed-symmetry arbitrary spin massive bosonic and fermionic fields propagating in AdS(5) are investigated. Using the light-cone formulation of relativistic dynamics we study bosonic and fermionic fields on an equal footing. Light-cone gauge actions for such fields are constructed. Various limits of the actions are discussed.Comment: v3: 24 pages, LaTeX-2e; typos corrected, footnote 7 and 2 references added, published in Class. Quantum Gra

Low temperature breakdown of coherent tunneling in amorphous solids induced by the nuclear quadrupole interaction

We consider the effect of the internal nuclear quadrupole interaction on quantum tunneling in complex multi-atomic two-level systems. Two distinct regimes of strong and weak interactions are found. The regimes depend on the relationship between a characteristic energy of the nuclear quadrupole interaction λ\lambda_{\ast} and a bare tunneling coupling strength Δ0\Delta_{0}. When Δ0>λ\Delta_{0}>\lambda_{\ast}, the internal interaction is negligible and tunneling remains coherent determined by Δ0\Delta_{0}. When Δ0<λ\Delta_{0}<\lambda_{\ast}, coherent tunneling breaks down and an effective tunneling amplitude decreases by an exponentially small overlap factor η1\eta^{\ast}\ll1 between internal ground states of left and right wells of a tunneling system. This affects thermal and kinetic properties of tunneling systems at low temperatures T<λT<\lambda_{*}. The theory is applied for interpreting the anomalous behavior of the resonant dielectric susceptibility in amorphous solids at low temperatures T5T\leq 5mK where the nuclear quadrupole interaction breaks down coherent tunneling. We suggest the experiments with external magnetic fields to test our predictions and to clarify the internal structure of tunneling systems in amorphous solids.Comment: To appear in the Physical Review

The possibilities of compensation of unwanted components of instantaneous power, which are provided by different topologies of active filters, are considered. Correlation is obtained, which provides a simplified calculation of the compensator currents without the use of coordinate transformations. The set of instantaneous power components, which reflects p-q-r theory, is considered, the basic conditions of their appearance and methods of compensation are given. Bible 3, tab. 1Рассмотрены возможности компенсации нежелательных составляющих мгновенной мощности, предоставляемые различными топологиями активных фильтров. Получены соотношения, обеспечивающие упрощенный расчет токов компенсатора без применения преобразований координат. Schr\"odinger Deformations of AdS_3 x S^3

We study Schr\"odinger invariant deformations of the AdS_3 x S^3 x T^4 (or K3) solution of IIB supergravity and find a large class of solutions with integer and half-integer dynamical exponents. We analyze the supersymmetries preserved by our solutions and find an infinite number of solutions with four supersymmetries. We study the solutions holographically and find that the dual D1-D5 (or F1-NS5) CFT is deformed by irrelevant operators of spin one and two.Comment: 23 page
