The paper presents the results of implementation in the Matlab environment for watermarking embedder and extractor based on the Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS). A block diagram of watermarking system, an analysis of watermarked signal reproduced as well as watermarking system robustness to degrading factors: lossy compression, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) as well as a change in sampling frequency, were shown

In this article, I analyze the issue of subjectivity in the form in which it appears in Charles Taylor’s and Richard Rorty’s writings. Positions of these philosophers aregenerally regarded as contradictory. I will, however, argued that the position on subjectivity represented by Rorty finds its complementation in Taylor’s concept. To do this, I will show firstly that both Rorty and Taylor use the category of contingency, presenting some common thesis about subjectivity. This way I will show that the location of the category of subjectivity and the scope of its use in each of them concept is closely related to the understanding of objectivity accepted by each of them. This will allow then to reconstruct the concept of subjectivity presented by Taylor and Rorty. Next, in the conclusion, I will present such a summary of those two standpoints, which will include justification of the thesis of their complementarity

Esta traducción se realizó a partir de la versión francesa de 2014.This article is the Spanish version of «On the Spatial Turn, or Horizontal Art History» by the Polish art historian Piotr Piotrowski (1952-2015). Geometrical Analysis of Composite Hobs

    Get PDF
The paper presents the universal mathematical model-based geometric analysis of a composite hob with replaceable sintered carbide cutting inserts. Composite hobs are characterised by lower accuracy compared to monolithic hobs and are generally used in roughing. Based on a computational algorithm developed by the authors of this study a computer program has been created to model the position and the geometry of the cutting insert placed on the rake face. A generalised case of a composite hob with a flat rake face not parallel to the hob axis and with rake angles different from zero has been analysed. Methods for correcting the cutting insert position and geometry to improve the composite hob accuracy are presented

    Social exclusion paradox in Poland

    Get PDF
The process of social exclusion can be described from two perspectives: of the society that stigmatizes and of the stigmatized group. The paper explores the paradox of social exclusion of football hooligans in Poland. The authors argue that social exclusion is not necessarily connected with the reduced level of the quality of life. The sense of belonging to a hooligan group becomes the essential source of support. Simultaneously it is a foundation for shaping one’s identity
