Anti-Semitism in the Czech lands 1918 - 1938

Práce se zaměřuje na fenomén antisemitismu v Československu v letech 1918-1938. Nejprve se zabývá podstatou antisemitismu. Dále popisuje vhled do historie Židů v Čechách, českého antisemitismu a známou antisemitskou aféru Leopolda Hilsnera. Následně ukazuje vznik Československa, postavení židovské menšiny a antisemitismus ve dvacátých letech a poté ve třicátých letech, kdy vznikaly fašistické organizace. Práce přináší i srovnání se sousedními státy. Rozebrán je i antisemitský tisk a na závěr je představen Samuel Steinherz a antisemitská Steinherzova kauza.ObhájenoThis thesis deals the phenomenon of anti-Semitism in the Czechoslovakia in between 1918-1938. The first chapter focuses on the essence of anti-Semitsm. The next part is devoted to the significant historical context of Jewish history in Bohemia, the Czech anti-Semitism and the affair of Leopold Hilsner. Then shows the establishment of Czechoslovakia, status of the Jewish minority and the anti-Semitism in 20's and then anti-Semitism in 30's, when were founded fascist organizations. The thesis provides a comparison of the Jew situation in the neighbour states. The next chapter describes anti-Semitism press. At the end there is introduced Samuel Steinherz and his rectorship affair

Czech Republic in a transformation process. Globalization, information policy in the Czech Republic, EU and USA and reflection of the transformations in library and information science

The text is focused on issues connected with the raise of the information society and its development; challenges for the library services envisaging these new developments are discussed. Starting with an impugment on the definition of the information society the work presents critical overview of the current theories of the information society. This stays as basic for the attempt to implement current theories of the information society into the information and library services, as defined by the information science. The work argues that the information science needs to change its paradigm, since the information and information process themselves are not any more the paradigm, it is the net as an instant configuration formed around the information requirement. Three case studies are presented in order to demonstrate the change of the paradigm: digital divide, dilemma of a freedom and privacy. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)Práce se zaměřuje na problematiku vzniku a rozvoje informační společnosti ve vztahu ke změnám, které tento proces provázejí, a jejich dopadu na oblast knihovnických služeb. V úvodu je zpochybněna jednoznačnost definice toho, co je a co není informační společnost, a je prezentován kritický přehled současných teorií informační společnosti. Z tohoto shrnutí pak vychází pokus implementovat současné teoretické přístupy k informační společnosti na oblast knihovnických a informačních služeb vymezených informační vědou. Práce předkládá argumenty pro to, že je třeba změnit paradigma informační vědy, kterým není fixovaná informace ani informační proces, ale síť jako momentální konfigurace informačního dotazu. Jako příklady témat, která změnu paradigmatu informační vědy vyvolávají, je prezentována problematika digitální propasti, dilema svobody a otázka soukromí. Foreign language education to seniors through intergenerational programmes

The intergenerational learning within various types of social environment and in relation to different target groups has long covered a wide range of uses. The professional literature mostly describes its benefits for children and young people, however, the intergenerational education also contributes to the development of personality and the saturation of the educational and psycho-social needs of both adults and seniors. The paper represents the authors’ output of the VEGA research project No. 1/0176/15 and it is structured into three chapters. In the first chapter, the author deals with the opportunities of the foreign language education for (not only) disabled seniors. The second chapter focuses on the intergenerational programmes that can be used in the language education of (not only) disabled seniors who are clients of social residential facilities. In the third chapter, the author elaborates the psychological aspects of the foreign language education of seniors
