Clouds and Hills Generation Using Fractal Geometry

Práce se zabývá generováním krajinných útvarů pomocí fraktální geometrie. Je zde vysvětlen pojem fraktál a termíny s ním spojené. Další kapitoly popisují základní teoretické úvahy a implementace jednotlivých algoritmů. Hlavním tématem je generování modelů oblak a pohoří podle hodnot vstupních parametrů, jejich prezentace a uložení na datové médium. Projekt také zahrnuje vlastní rozšíření při generování pohoří. Na závěr jsou shrnuty tendence dalšího vývoje a vlastní poznatky.This work is concerned with generation of landscape objects using fractal geometry. In this work is explained what the fractal is and terms associated with them. The other parts describe basic theoretical ideas and implementation of these algorithms. The Capital theme is generation of models clouds and hills in values of input parameters, their presentation and date media saved there. The project includes my algorithm extension for hills generation of course. At the conclusion of this work are summarized tendencies of next development and my results.

Nástroje k analýze rázů

The paper deals with evaluation the shock response spectrum (SRS), which is employed to analysis of impulse signals. This kind of spectra is a set of the minimum or maximum values of the time response produced by the single degree-of-freedom (SDOF) system, which is tuned to a set of resonance frequencies, to a shock signal. The response is evaluated as an output of the second order infinite response filter (IIR) with an input, which is the sequence of the acceleration signal samples. The theory is illustrated by examples.Příspěvek pojednává o výpočtu rázového spektra, které je použito k analýze impulsních signálů. Tento druh spektra je složen z množiny maximálních nebo minimálních hodnot časových odezev na impulsní buzení, získaných ze soustavy s jedním stupněm volnosti, která je naladěná na množinu rezonančních frekvencí. Odezva je vypočtena jako výstup IIR filtru s impulsním signálem ve formě posloupnosti hodnot vzorků signálů zrychlení

Rehabilitace brownfieldu, Český Brod

Vlastní téma práce je rehabilitace území bývalého hospodářského družstva ZZN v kontaktu s centrem města Český Brod. Po ukončení produkce se z areálu družstva stalo nevyužité území. Pro malé středočeské město je lokalita strategickou oblastí, důležitou pro další rozvoj obce z hlediska obchodu, kultury i infrastruktury. Cílem diplomové práce je návrh zapojení území do organizmu města a vytvoření místa podporujícího obecní život s regionálním přesahem.The topic chosen by the student is a rehabilitation of the former agricultural cooperative which is in touch with the city centre. Since the original production has ended, the aerial has become an unused territory. For a small town near Prague, it is a very strategical location for future development, especially for business, culture and infrastructure. The main goal of a diploma project is to include the whole area within the city organism and to create new urban premises encouraging the local activities

Interannual Variation in Root Production in Grasslands Affected by Artificially Modified Amount of Rainfall

The effect of different amounts of rainfall on the below-ground plant biomass was studied in three grassland ecosystems. Responses of the lowland (dry Festuca grassland), highland (wet Cirsium grassland), and mountain (Nardus grassland) grasslands were studied during five years (2006–2010). A field experiment based on rainout shelters and gravity irrigation simulated three climate scenarios: rainfall reduced by 50% (dry), rainfall increased by 50% (wet), and the natural rainfall of the current growing season (ambient). The interannual variation in root increment and total below-ground biomass reflected the experimentally manipulated amount of precipitation and also the amount of current rainfall of individual years. The effect of year on these below-ground parameters was found significant in all studied grasslands. In comparison with dry Festuca grassland, better adapted to drought, submontane wet Cirsium grassland was more sensitive to the different water inputs forming rather lower amount of below-ground plant matter at reduced precipitation

Citační etika v pedagogickém výzkumu : k vynucování citací a zakládání citačních kartelů

Ačkoli počty citací jsou považovány zejména za indikátory reputace a přínosnosti vědců v akademické komunitě, mohou nabývat také určité ekonomické hodnoty. Tento ekonomizující přístup je možné pozorovat také v Česku, což s sebou přináší snahu některých vědců získávat citace eticky spornými z působy. Cílem studie tedy je podrobněji pojednat o problematice citování. Vybrané ukázky, které vycházejí z vlastní akademické zkušenosti a pozorování obou autorů, dokumentují, jak akademici vynucují citace a zakládají citační kartely. Z pohledu Mertonova vědeckého étosu tyto praktiky vedou k rozkladu nezaujatosti, transparentnosti a kritického přístupu ve vědě. V závěru uvádíme vybraná doporučení pro eticky správné citování.Although numbers of citations are considered to be indicators of a researcher's reputation and contributions in academia, citations can also be assigned a certain economic value. This economic approach can be observed in Czechia, too, which motivates some researchers to gain citations using ethically problematic methods. Therefore, the aim of this study is to discuss issues related to citations. Selected excerpts, which originate from the authors' academic experience and observations, document how researchers coerce citations and establish citation cartels. Viewed from the perspective of Merton's scientific ethos, these practices undermine openmindedness, transparency, and a critical approach in research. We present some recommendations for ethically correct citations in the conclusion of this paper
