    Change in body composition of female junior volleyball players

    The purpose of our study is to monitor and analyze the composition of selected body masses of female v junior volleyball players. The data were obtained from 18 players, aged 14 to 19 years, of the Královo Pole volleyball club in Brno, Czech Republic (VV KP Brno), between 1 August 2014 and 20 December 2014. Body composition was measured by Inbody 230 – Biospace using the bioimpedance measurement method. We obtained the following data from measurement: BMI (Body Mass Index), PBF (Percentage Body Fat), body mass, muscle and fat mass of both upper and lower limbs and the trunk. Mann-Whitney U test is used to compare differences between the values obtained before the preseason preparation, after the preseason preparation and after three months of the season. All statistical computations were performed using R software (R Core Team 2013). Comparing the results after the preliminary part we diagnosed a significant difference (p<0.05) increase of percentage of total fat mass (p=0.0266). After the preliminary part of the season significant difference describing increase of body mass (p=0.0462) was found, together with increase of body fat in left upper (p=0.0313), right upper (p=0.0429) limb and with increase of trunk mass (p=0.0379). The study revealed interesting information about a change of the body mass and body fat percentage of volleyball players of VK KP Brno during the regular season. The findings from the preseason preparation confirmed the expected change, i.e. that the muscle mass increases while the body mass and body fat percentage decrease

Všechny zjištěné poznatky budou uplatněny v ideovém návrhu. Návrh popisuje rozšíření rybničního hospodářství MO MRS Pohořelice, Z. S., v k. ú. Cvrčovice u Pohořelic.This bachelor’s thesis deals with the warm water fish culture facilities. It also divides them and represents the manner of the management. The work is divided into two parts. The first part contains research and the second one is dedicated to the project itself. The research describes the most frequent measures that serve to increase the production of thermophilic fishes. The knowledge that has been found is applied in the project. The project describes the extension of the pond management of MO MRS Pohořelice, Z. S., in k. ú. Cvrčovice u Pohořelic.

    Předmětem této diplomové práce je fundamentální analýza vybraných evropských akciových automobilových společností za účelem tvorby portfolia. Fundamentální analýza bude vytvořena za pomoci použití veřejně dostupných informačních zdrojů, které se vztahují k jednotlivým podnikům. Prostřednictvím takto vytvořené fundamentální analýzy dojde k investičnímu doporučení v oblasti automobilového průmyslu. První část této práce se bude věnovat teoretickému popisu jednotlivých používaných metod analýzy akcií, s výrazným důrazem na fundamentální analýzu, společně s dalšími nutnými teoretickými východisky. Druhá část pak je věnována výběru a popisu jednotlivých akciových společností. Třetí část je věnována mezipodnikovému porovnání za pomoci vybraných ukazatelů. V předposlední kapitole dojde k verifikování dosažených výsledků za pomoci výpočtu vnitřní hodnoty a bankrotních modelů. V závěrečné části je pak na základě mezipodnikového srovnáni provedeno investorské doporučení k pořízení nejvýnosnější investice.The aim of this master thesis is to create a fundamental analysis of selected European automobile manufacturing companies, which are enlisted in the stock market and are publically traded. Goal of this fundamental analysis is to propose an ideal portfolio which should outperform the average car industry market. All information which are used during this work are publically accessible on the websites of every mentioned company. First part of this work is devoted to the description of methods, which are used through the whole article. Second part is describing selected companies and the reasons of the selection itself. Third part is devoted to the comparison of selected companies. Forth part is describing methods used for verification of the results, methods used for this verification are calculation of the inner value of security and bankruptcy models. The recommendation for the ideal portfolio for the European car industry is created in the last part of this thesis.

Tato práce dále obsahuje teoretický popis metod použitelných pro fundamentální analýzu následovaný praktickou částí, která se zabývá použitím fundamentálních metod ke stanovení hodnoty jednotlivé akcie.The main topic of this bachelor thesis is a fundamental analysis of the shares of the company PEGAS NONWOVENS SA, made by using the publicly accessible information about the company. This thesis also includes theoretical description of the methods which are usable for the fundamental analysis. Then I’ll apply this theoretical knowledge in the practical part of the thesis in order to evaluate the price of shares.

    Diagnostics Of Isometric And Isokinetic Strength In Junior Elite Tennis Players Within The Context Of Muscular Disbalances

    This research aims to determine the strength level of muscle groups in wrist and forearm and to assess lateral differences in junior tennis player group (TEN, n = 10, aged 12–14) and a control group of boys who do not perform any sport activity (CS, n=10, aged12–14) by isometric (hand dynamometer GRIP-D TKK 5401, Takei, Japan) and isokinetic dynamometry (dynamometer Humac Norm CSMI, Stoughton, USA) methods. Diagnostics of concentric extension and flexion was carried out in concordance with Ellenbecker methodology (1991) in angular velocities of 90°/s and 300°/s, results are given in Newton metres (Nm). Data analysis proved substantive insignificant differences between TEN and CS group as long as age, body height and weight are concerned. Isometric dynamometry: using Cohen’s d there were proved substantially significant differences in the strength of dominant extremity in favour of TEN group (d = 0.76) and lateral difference in strength level of right and left upper extremity in TEN group TEN (d = 0.60). Isokinetic dynamometry: in angular velocity of 90°/s were proved substantially significant differences between TEN and CS group in the strength of extensors (d = 1.16) and flexors of right wrist (d = 1.33) as well as in extensors (d = 0.83) and flexors (d = 0.99) of left wrist in favour of TEN group. Similarly, there was proved substantially significant lateral difference in strength level of wrist flexors of right and left hand (d = 0.84). In angular velocity of 300°/s there were proved substantially significant differences between TEN and CS group in favour of TEN group, both in right wrist extensors (d = 0.94) and flexors (d = 1.39). Substantially significant differences in favour of TEN group have been proved also in non dominant upper extremity, both in left wrist extensors (d = 1.27) and flexors (d = 1.12). Neither in TEN nor CS group were proved substantially significant lateral differences in strength of wrist extensors and flexors – with the exception of lateral differences between extensors (d = 0.62) in CS group. Values obtained by assessment of extensors and flexors strength ratio in both TEN and CS groups in both angular velocities signal an increased risk of injury incidence in all cases.     Mortars with Crushed Lava Granulate for Repair of Damp Historical Buildings

    In this paper, crushed lava granulate was used as full silica sand replacement in composition of repair mortars based on hydrated lime, natural hydraulic lime, or cement-lime binder. Lava granules were analyzed by X-ray fluorescence analysis (XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Particle size distribution of both silica and lava aggregates was assessed using standard sieve analysis. Hygrothermal function of the developed lightweight materials was characterized by the measurement of complete set of hygric, thermal, and structural parameters of the hardened mortar samples that were tested for both 28 days and 90 days cured specimens. As the repair mortars must also meet requirements on mechanical performance, their compressive strength, flexural strength, and dynamic Young’s modulus were tested. The newly developed mortars composed of lava aggregate and hydrated lime or natural hydraulic lime met technical, functional, compatibility, and performance criteria on masonry and rendering materials, and were found well applicable for repair of historically valuable buildings

    Nationwide increases in anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibodies between October 2020 and March 2021 in the unvaccinated Czech population

    Background: The aim of the nationwide prospective seroconversion (PROSECO) study was to investigate the dynamics of anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibodies in the Czech population. Here we report on baseline prevalence from that study. Methods: The study included the first 30,054 persons who provided a blood sample between October 2020 and March 2021. Seroprevalence was compared between calendar periods, previous RT-PCR results and other factors. Results: The data show a large increase in seropositivity over time, from 28% in October/November 2020 to 43% in December 2020/January 2021 to 51% in February/March 2021. These trends were consistent with government data on cumulative viral antigenic prevalence in the population captured by PCR testing – although the seroprevalence rates established in this study were considerably higher. There were only minor differences in seropositivity between sexes, age groups and BMI categories, and results were similar between test providing laboratories. Seropositivity was substantially higher among persons with history of symptoms (76% vs. 34%). At least one third of all seropositive participants had no history of symptoms, and 28% of participants with antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 never underwent PCR testing. Conclusions: Our data confirm the rapidly increasing prevalence in the Czech population during the rising pandemic wave prior to the beginning of vaccination. The difference between our results on seroprevalence and PCR testing suggests that antibody response provides a better marker of past infection than the routine testing program

    Epidemiologie, prevence a léčba kolorektálního karcinomu dle dostupných českých a mezinárodních dat

    Nádory tlustého střeva a konečníku patří mezi nejčastější onkologické diagnózy. V České republice je každoročně nově diagnostikováno téměř 8 500 pacientů s kolorektálním karcinomem a přibližně 3 900 osob tomuto onemocnění každým rokem podlehne. Celková prevalence přesáhne v roce 2012 hranici 55 000 osob. Společenské, etické i ekonomické důsledky vyplývající z takto vysoké zátěže jsou zřejmé. Publikace „Epidemiologie, prevence a léčba kolorektálního karcinomu dle dostupných českých a mezinárodních dat“ přináší ucelený přehled epidemiologické a léčebné zátěže české populace touto chorobou a věnuje se krátkodobým a dlouhodobým predikcím dalšího vývoje. Situace je rovněž hodnocena v mezinárodním srovnání, neboť v hodnotách incidence a mortality kolorektálního karcinomu obsazuje ČR přední příčky evropských i světových statistik. Z mezinárodních studií však také vyplývá pozitivní poznatek, že většině nádorů tlustého střeva a konečníku lze předejít účinnou prevencí. Kromě primární prevence je zde hlavním nástrojem organizovaný populační screening, který je založen na testech krvácení do stolice a na kolonoskopii. Otázkám prevence a výsledkům screeningu kolorektálního karcinomu jsou v publikaci věnovány zvláštní kapitoly. Ačkoli nejnovější data dokládají rostoucí výkonnost českého screeningu, celkově dosažené pokrytí populace bohužel stále není dostatečné. To platí pro včasný záchyt kolorektálního karcinomu obecně, neboť v ČR je setrvale téměř 50 % nových onemocnění diagnostikováno v pokročilých klinických stadiích, a tedy s výrazně sníženou šancí na vyléčení nebo dlouhodobé přežití pacienta. Publikace rovněž hodnotí přežití dosahované u českých pacientů jakožto zásadní ukazatel výsledků léčebné péče, u kterého v posledních 15 letech zaznamenáváme statisticky významné zlepšení. Pravděpodobnost 5letého relativního přežití je u včasně diagnostikovaného kolorektálního karcinomu v klinickém stadiu i vyšší než 88%. Tato čísla opět potvrzují nutnost účinné prevence a posílení screeningu tohoto preventabilního onemocnění. V tomto směru má publikace ambici informovat odbornou i laickou veřejnost, a proto věnuje značný prostor přehledu dostupných informačních zdrojů.The book aims to inform expert and general public about epidemiology of colorectal carcinoma in the Czech Republic and priorities resulting from high population burden for prevention, diagnostics, and treatment of this severe disease.
