Design and implementation of a network slicing aware radio scheduler
In this project we will be introducing an overview of the concept of network slicing and
its main implications when applied towards Long Term Evolution technologies. It starts
by reviewing the main definitions and implications of LTE, regarding its protocols,
physical channels and reference signals, so the reader can understand the basis of this
technology, before moving to the meaning of network slicing in terms of real case
scenarios.
This thesis focuses on scheduling algorithms, specifically downlink scheduling
algorithms. There is a review of the Round Robin scheduling algorithm which will be
later compared to the newly introduced scheduling algorithm based on slicing the network
into “bandwidth slots”.
Firstly, there is a simulation on Matlab how the throughput varies from one algorithm to
the other, and how we can assign an effectively a bigger throughput to a desired user.
After completing this first simulation, the project moves on to a real software
implementation and executes the proposed algorithm on srsLTE. Once again, there is an
analysis of the results in terms of throughput on the new proposed algorithm in which a
conclusion is reached on how the throughput varies depending the amount of bandwidth
or slots we assign to each one of the users. The second part of the analysis shows a
comparation of this throughput with respect to time.Ingeniería en Tecnologías de Telecomunicación (Plan 2010
Ammonia observations of the nearby molecular cloud MBM 12
We present NH3(1,1) and NH3(2,2) observations of MBM 12, the closest known
molecular cloud (65 pc distance), aimed to find evidence for on-going star
formation processes. No local temperature (with a T_rot upper limit of 12 K)
nor linewidth enhancement is found, which suggests that the area of the cloud
we mapped (~ 15' size) is not currently forming stars. Therefore, this close
``starless'' molecular gas region is an ideal laboratory to study the physical
conditions preceding new star formation.
A radio continuum source was found in Very Large Array archive data, close
but outside the NH3 emission. This source is likely to be a background object.Comment: 8 pages, 3 figures, accepted by MNRA
The fight against private corruption is a highly complex criminal phenomenon that needs to be tackled by the European Union, by joint and uniform actions. For the Member States to face this social scourge en bloc, in an integrated manner, it is essential to achieve a proper understanding of the commercial bribery conduct that should be criminally relevant. To do this, we cannot avoid the controversial question relating to the criminal interest protected by this offence. For such purpose, we will examine the content of Council Framework Decision 2003/568/JHA, of 22 July 2003, and the status and new legislative tre nds concerning with the incriminating models implemented by France, Italy and Germany.
Currently, parallel programming bases its solutions on all types of existing hardware. This
results in heterogeneous platforms that make use of coprocessors. This trend can be clearly
seen in the world's most powerful supercomputers in the TOP500. These systems present a
series of challenges when developing applications using these devices efficiently, one of them
is memory management. Coprocessors have their own memory space, separate from the
memory of the machine where they are installed.
In this context, various proposals arise to make it easier for the programmer to use these
resources. One of these proposals is the Controllers model developed by Trasgo research
group which allows the overlapping of communication and computing operations in
hardware accelerators as well as automatic management of memory transfers between the
host and the accelerator. Currently, the Controller model supports the use of CUDA and
OpenCL with GPU (Graphic Processing Unit) devices.
This work proposes an extension of the Controllers programming model in the form of a
new backend that allows one or more cores of one or more processors to be used as
computing units in a transparent way to the user. An experimental study is also done to
measure the performance of the new backend.
The aim of this study was to assess the effects of an physical activity program of
vigorous aerobic interval endurance training combined with resistance strength training,
about food intake, body weight and physical performance measured by VO2peak in rats.
We used 16 male rats (n=16) Zucker breed of obesity genetic type (fa /+), separated
into two groups of accommodation, some animals in individuals cages (n=8) and others
on cages groups (n=8), within which were subdivided in a training group or sedentary
lifestyle group. The total duration of the experience was 8 weeks, where was measured
daily food intake, and every 15 days, was calculated the body weight, and an
incremental test to see the evolution of the rats and to determine the percentage of
intensity of the VO2peak, calculated about maximum aerobic speed to group the rats in
one of three training groups accord to the results of tests aerobic power and then a test
of repetition maximum (RM) too, to adjust the mass of drag the rat less strong each
group and make the training program designed, that it consist of: 10 minutes of the
warm up to 30-50% of VO2peak, 20 minutes of strength-endurance training at 50-65%
of your 1RM, with the treadmill at a constant speed of 35 cm/s, and finally 21 minutes
of resistance strength training, with 7 sets of 3 min at 50-65% of your 1RM, with the
treadmill to speed of 35 cm/s and one minute of rest between sets and 30 minutes of
vigorous aerobic interval endurance training, with periods of 4 minutes at 50-65%
VO2peak. mixed with 3 minutes of submaximal intensity to 65-80% of VO2peak.
The vigorous aerobic interval endurance training combined with resistance strength
training increased the food intake in comparation with the group that did not make any
kind of physical activity (P= 0,000). The results showed that all groups increased their
body weight, being higher in the sedentary group than in training group (P=0,001), with
the ratio body weight / lean weight more high in the training group, representing an
decrease of relative fatty tissue and increase in relative lean weight in the total body
weight of the rats. There were no significant differences between the training group
which the sedentary lifestyle group about to improving aerobic power of the animal
(VO2peak), seeing an evolution in the first weeks of training, which eventually it
became an involution to confirm in the end of experience values lower of VO2peak than
the first. Basal metabolic rate was higher in the training group, with a increased active
tissue, which increased the energy expenditure on the rat's metabolism. The glucose´s
test allowed to know that physical activity performed greater efficiency in the transport
and uptake of glucose to the cells.
The developed of an experimental model of rat training that combines endurance with
resistance, obtained results of as the rats increased their food intake and reduced their
body weight with a increased in the active tissue in trained rat.

In this work, it is argued that the notion of ‘injustice’, as an element of the unfair decisions rendered by Judges, is a synonym of ‘unreasonableness’. We hold that two necessary conditions must concur so that the judgment can be considered ‘unreasonable’. In that moment, and only in that case, the conduct committed by the Judges will be relevant from a criminal point of view. To do so, on the base of the recent Supreme Court judgement issued in the case Fernando Presencia, we will examine the legal foundations of the objective element ‘unjust resolution’; and, finally, it will be analyzed if, in this case, all the necessary requirements concur to appreciate this element of the offense
