    Fluorescent Discrimination between Traces of Chemical Warfare Agents and Their Mimics

    Biological therapies in the systemic management of psoriasis: International Consensus Conference

    Psoriasis is a chronic, immune-mediated disorder that usually requires long-term treatment for control. Approximately 25% of patients have moderate to severe disease and require phototherapy, systemic therapy or both. Despite the availability of numerous therapeutic options, the long-term management of psoriasis can be complicated by treatment-related limitations. With advances in molecular research and technology, several biological therapies are in various stages of development and approval for psoriasis. Biological therapies are designed to modulate key steps in the pathogenesis of psoriasis. Collectively, biologicals have been evaluated in thousands of patients with psoriasis and have demonstrated significant benefit with favourable safety and tolerability profiles.     Productivity through CIS/2 electronic data exchange format for steel structures - Invited Presentation

    Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) helps reduce errors by providing an accurate transfer of member sizes and locations.CIM Steel Integration Standards version 2 (CIS/2) format enables the EDI amongst all parties of the steel supply chain for the steel-framed structures. CIS/2 has now been implemented as a file import or export module by many steel design, analysis, engineering, and fabrication software packages. There are potential cost savings in using the CIS/2 over the paper based transfer of design documents. The major benefit of data transfer through CIS/2 is that the hours normally required for detailing and checking for errors are greatly reduced resulting in cost savings throughout the project since erection could begin sooner and occupancy could occur earlier. Apart from enabling the exchange of data between software applications, CIS/2 can also be used in construction applications, for example tracking of structural steel elements.     1204-1209The reaction of acenaphthylene-1,2-dione with chiral cyclic secondary a-amino acids viz. l-proline gives rise to the intermediate azomethine ylide which has been trapped by acetylenic and ethylenic dipolarophiles to produce bridgehead bicyclic cycloadducts.
