    There are several studies revealing that AI tools used in job search applications and sites will promote different opportunities depending on the gender of the user. Specifically, men are typically shown more competitive job postings than women, given that the users have similar skills and qualifications.     iVoLVER : Interactive Visual Language for Visualization Extraction and Reconstruction

    We present the design and implementation of iVoLVER, a tool that allows users to create visualizations without textual programming. iVoLVER is designed to enable flexible acquisition of many types of data (text, colors, shapes, quantities, dates) from multiple source types (bitmap charts, webpages, photographs, SVGs, CSV files) and, within the same canvas, supports transformation of that data through simple widgets to construct interactive animated visuals. Aside from the tool, which is web-based and designed for pen and touch, we contribute the design of the interactive visual language and widgets for extraction, transformation, and representation of data. We demonstrate the flexibility and expressive power of the tool through a set of scenarios, and discuss some of the challenges encountered and how the tool fits within the current infovis tool landscape.Postprin

    Designing Digital Platforms: A Synthetization of Relevant Design Topics for Business Models from a Literature Review

    Digital platforms (DPs) represent a challenging research object. In this context, scientific literature has produced a large number of publications studying DPs. Given the importance of designing DPs in both academia and practice, the purpose of this study is to synthesize the current research findings on DPs and provide a framework with possible design topics under consideration from a business model perspective. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted to identify and synthesize the relevant findings. We analyzed 22 publications published before May 2021. The analysis shows that, in terms of "Value Propositions", most design topics were identified. In contrast, only one design topic was identified for "Customer Relationships", "Customer Segments", and "Cost Structure". In sum, our results present a framework with design topics for DPs and support the alignment of further research. Practitioners receive an overview of design topics for DPs that encourage today`s digital transformation projects

    Dynamic capabilities related implementation skills for Internet of Things solutions in the digital economy

    The digital economy is shaped by the increasing implementation of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. These solutions enable the vertical integration of smart objects into existing information systems, thereby realizing the vision that every physical object obtains a digital identity. However, dynamic characterizes the technologically driven IoT market and requires related capabilities from enterprises, aiming to provide IoT solutions. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore which DC are sufficient for the implementation of effective IoT solutions by taking a DC perspective. Based upon an empirical survey of IoT solution integrators and an exploratory fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA), our results show that the combination of differentiation strategy, technological and entrepreneurial orientation enables the implementation of effective IoT solutions. The results further provide a theoretical contribution for a DC discussion in the IoT research area and, offer implementation recommendations for enterprises about how to manage IoT solution implementation
