A simplex of bound entangled multipartite qubit states
We construct a simplex for multipartite qubit states of even number n of
qubits, which has the same geometry concerning separability, mixedness, kind of
entanglement, amount of entanglement and nonlocality as the bipartite qubit
states. We derive the entanglement of the class of states which can be
described by only three real parameters with the help of a multipartite measure
for all discrete systems. We prove that the bounds on this measure are optimal
for the whole class of states and that it reveals that the states possess only
n-partite entanglement and not e.g. bipartite entanglement. We then show that
this n-partite entanglement can be increased by stochastic local operations and
classical communication to the purest maximal entangled states. However, pure
n-partite entanglement cannot be distilled, consequently all entangled states
in the simplex are n-partite bound entangled. We study also Bell inequalities
and find the same geometry as for bipartite qubits. Moreover, we show how the
(hidden) nonlocality for all n-partite bound entangled states can be revealed.Comment: 11 pages, 4 figures; 2nd version changed considerably and a detailed

Induction of IL 2 receptor expression and cytotoxicity of thymocytes by stimulation with TCF1
We investigated the role of T cell cytotoxicity inducing factor 1 (TCF1) in the induction of a cytotoxic T cell response. We found that help-deficient thymocyte cultures supplied with saturating amounts of purified IL 2 did not develop CTL in a 5-day culture. The expression of cytotoxicity was dependent on the addition of TCF1 derived from the T cell hybridoma K15. TCF1 also induced proliferation of thymocytes in the presence of IL 2. Only the PNA- thymocyte subpopulation responded to TCF1 with proliferation and cytotoxicity in the presence of IL 2. The monokine IL 1 also induced proliferation in this subpopulation but failed to induce cytotoxicity. IL 1 was further distinguished from TCF1 by inhibition of IL 1-induced but not TCF1-induced proliferation by anti-IL 1 antibodies. In addition, using anti-IL 2 receptor antibodies (AMT 13), we showed that TCF1 in the presence of IL 2 substantially increased IL 2 receptor expression in thymocytes. IL 1 had the same effect on induction of IL 2 receptor expression as TCF1. Because some effects of IL 1 and TCF1 are distinct and some overlap, we discuss whether IL 1 and TCF1 induce different subsets of PNA- thymocytes
Garside and quadratic normalisation: a survey
Starting from the seminal example of the greedy normal norm in braid monoids,
we analyse the mechanism of the normal form in a Garside monoid and explain how
it extends to the more general framework of Garside families. Extending the
viewpoint even more, we then consider general quadratic normalisation
procedures and characterise Garside normalisation among them.Comment: 30 page
Tamari Lattices and the symmetric Thompson monoid
We investigate the connection between Tamari lattices and the Thompson group
F, summarized in the fact that F is a group of fractions for a certain monoid
F+sym whose Cayley graph includes all Tamari lattices. Under this
correspondence, the Tamari lattice operations are the counterparts of the least
common multiple and greatest common divisor operations in F+sym. As an
application, we show that, for every n, there exists a length l chain in the
nth Tamari lattice whose endpoints are at distance at most 12l/n.Comment: 35page
Happy diamond anniversary JMS! A decade analysis of the Journal of Management Studies
The Journal of Management Studies, founded in 1963, is celebrating its 60 th year. Clark et al. (2014) conducted a bibliometric analysis for its 50 th anniversary assessing whether the journal had maintained its leading international ranking and sustained its mission to serve as a broad-based management outlet. In this review, we build on and extend their findings by examining trends in the journal over the past decade (2012â22). We present a broader analysis of JMS by exploring its unique identity within the management journal ecosystem and examining its scope and breadth in terms of topics, methods, and author demographics to document JMS's evolution, impact, reach, and accessibility. We develop a new bibliometric framework that employs a mix of qualitative and quantitative analyses (including regression, text, and language analysis) to cover a broad range of considerations for a journal and its stakeholders. In so doing, we contribute to the bibliometric and review research areas by proposing new metrics (related to diversity, equity, and inclusion) and analysis tools to assess the relative position of an academic journal. Employing this framework, we conclude that JMS has retained and enhanced its position as a leading, cutting-edge general management journal.</p
On the distortion of twin building lattices
We show that twin building lattices are undistorted in their ambient group;
equivalently, the orbit map of the lattice to the product of the associated
twin buildings is a quasi-isometric embedding. As a consequence, we provide an
estimate of the quasi-flat rank of these lattices, which implies that there are
infinitely many quasi-isometry classes of finitely presented simple groups. In
an appendix, we describe how non-distortion of lattices is related to the
integrability of the structural cocycle
High Resolution Hybrid Pixel Sensors for the e+e- TESLA Linear Collider Vertex Tracker
In order to fully exploit the physics potential of a future high energy e+e-
linear collider, a Vertex Tracker, providing high resolution track
reconstruction, is required. Hybrid Silicon pixel sensors are an attractive
option, for the sensor technology, due to their read-out speed and radiation
hardness, favoured in the high rate environment of the TESLA e+e- linear
collider design but have been so far limited by the achievable single point
space resolution. In this paper, a conceptual design of the TESLA Vertex
Tracker, based on a novel layout of hybrid pixel sensors with interleaved cells
