    Museum Olahraga Di Kota Solo Berbasis Wisata Kreatif

    Kota Solo merupakan kota yang mempunyai nilai historis yang sangat kental, salah satunya historis di bidang olahraga. Seperti penyelenggara Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON-I) pertama di Indonesia, salah satu tempat pelopor hari olahraga nasional, penyelenggara Asean Paragames dua kali pada tahun 2011 dan 2022, dan mempunyai klub sepak bola yang meraih masa emasnya dijaman perserikatan. Namun masyarakat luas belum mengetahui soal sejarah olahraga di Kota Solo. Dan pemerintah Kota Solo belum bisa memanfaatkan olahraga sebagai tempat wisata yang mampu menarik datangnya wisatawan. Maka pembangunan museum olahraga di Kota Solo dinilai cocok. Wisata kreatif merupakan pariwisata yang mampu mengembangkan potensi kreatif pengunjung yang didapat dengan berperan aktif di pengalaman belajar seni karakter khusus atau warisan dari tempat yang dikunjungi. Karena Kota Solo mempunyai ciri khas dan budaya yang sangat kental. Wisata kreatif yang berada dimuseum ini seperti pengadaan workshop, bermain permainan tradisional dan tour wisata ke tempat yang mempunyai nilai historis di bidang olahraga. Perencanaan museum yang menekankan pada Arsitektur tradisional dengan material dan elemen tradisional yang berasal dari Kota Solo seperti menerapkan batik kawung yang merupakan batik asli Kota Solo sebagai fasade dan rotan yang terbuat dari Desa Trangsan diharapkan museum ini dapat menjadi identitas atau ikon dari Kota Solo.     Combining olfactory test and motion analysis sensors in Parkinson's disease preclinical diagnosis: A pilot study

    Objectives: Preclinical diagnosis of Parkinson's disease (PD) is nowadays a topic of interest as the neuropathological process could begin years before the appearance of motor symptoms. Several symptoms, among them hyposmia, could precede motor features in PD. In the preclinical phase of PD, a subclinical reduction in motor skills is highly likely. In this pilot study, we investigate a step-by-step method to achieve preclinical PD diagnosis. Material and methods: We used the IOIT (Italian Olfactory Identification Test) to screen a population of healthy subjects. We identified 20 subjects with idiopathic hyposmia. Hyposmic subjects underwent an evaluation of motor skills, at baseline and after 1 year, using motion analysis sensors previously created by us. Results: One subject showed significant worsening in motor measurements. In this subject, we further conducted a dopaminergic challenge test monitored with the same sensors and, finally, he underwent [123I]-FP/CIT (DaTscan) SPECT brain imaging. The results show that he is probably affected by preclinical PD. Conclusions: Our pilot study suggests that the combined use of an olfactory test and motor sensors for motion analysis could be useful for a screening of healthy subjects to identify those at a high risk of developing PD

    Mann and gender in Old English prose : a pilot study

    It has long been known that OE mann was used in gender-neutral as well as gender-specific contexts. Because of the enormous volume of its attestations in Old English prose, the more precise usage patterns of mann remain, however, largely uncharted, and existing lexicographical tools provide only a basic picture. This article aims to present a preliminary study of the various uses of mann as attested in Old English prose, particularly in its surprisingly consistent use by an individual author, namely that of the ninth-century Old English Martyrology. Patterns emerging from this text are then tested against other prose material. Particular attention is paid to gender-specific usage, examples of which are shown to be exceptional for a word which largely occurs in gender-neutral contexts.Publisher PDFPeer reviewe

    The Functional Head Impulse Test to Assess Oscillopsia in Bilateral Vestibulopathy

    Introduction: Bilateral vestibulopathy (BV) is a chronic condition in which vestibular function is severely impaired or absent on both ears. Oscillopsia is one of the main symptoms of BV. Oscillopsia can be quantified objectively by functional vestibular tests, and subjectively by questionnaires. Recently, a new technique for testing functionally effective gaze stabilization was developed: the functional Head Impulse Test (fHIT). This study compared the fHIT with the Dynamic Visual Acuity assessed on a treadmill (DVAtreadmill) and Oscillopsia Severity Questionnaire (OSQ) in the context of objectifying the experience of oscillopsia in patients with BV.Methods: Inclusion criteria comprised: (1) summated slow phase velocity of nystagmus of <20°/s during bithermal caloric tests, (2) torsion swing tests gain of <30% and/or phase <168°, and (3) complaints of oscillopsia and/or imbalance. During the fHIT (Beon Solutions srl, Italy) patients were seated in front of a computer screen. During a passive horizontal head impulse a Landolt C optotype was shortly displayed. Patients reported the seen optotype by pressing the corresponding button on a keyboard. The percentage correct answers was registered for leftwards and rightwards head impulses separately. During DVAtreadmill patients were positioned on a treadmill in front of a computer screen that showed Sloan optotypes. Patients were tested in static condition and in dynamic conditions (while walking on the treadmill at 2, 4, and 6 km/h). The decline in LogMAR between static and dynamic conditions was registered for each speed. Every patient completed the Oscillopsia Severity Questionnaire (OSQ).Results: In total 23 patients were included. This study showed a moderate correlation between OSQ outcomes and the fHIT [rightwards head rotations (rs = −0.559; p = 0.006) leftwards head rotations (rs = −0.396; p = 0.061)]. No correlation was found between OSQ outcomes and DVAtreadmill, or between DVAtreadmill and fHIT. All patients completed the fHIT, 52% of the patients completed the DVAtreadmill on all speeds.Conclusion: The fHIT seems to be a feasible test to quantify oscillopsia in BV since, unlike DVAtreadmill, it correlates with the experienced oscillopsia measured by the OSQ, and more BV patients are able to complete the fHIT than DVAtreadmill

    Management of nystagmus in children: A review of the literature and current practice in UK specialist services

    Nystagmus is an eye movement disorder characterised by abnormal, involuntary rhythmic oscillations of one or both eyes, initiated by a slow phase. It is not uncommon in the UK and regularly seen in paediatric ophthalmology and adult general/strabismus clinics. In some cases, it occurs in isolation, and in others, it occurs as part of a multisystem disorder, severe visual impairment or neurological disorder. Similarly, in some cases, visual acuity can be normal and in others can be severely degraded. Furthermore, the impact on vision goes well beyond static acuity alone, is rarely measured and may vary on a minute-to-minute, day-to-day or month-to-month basis. For these reasons, management of children with nystagmus in the UK is varied, and patients report hugely different experiences and investigations. In this review, we hope to shine a light on the current management of children with nystagmus across five specialist centres in the UK in order to present, for the first time, a consensus on investigation and clinical management
