Real Options Approach: a Bank Acquisition by Bank X
Indonesia offers a lot of promising growth opportunities and particularly to the banking industry, a combination of attractive macro-economic conditions and introduction of new regulatory policies as well as reformation to consolidate and strengthen the banking sector primarily by M&A activity provides an attractive backdrop for acquisition of Indonesian banks by foreign investors. In this paper, we introduce real options theory as an alternative to a traditional project valuation for a bank acquisition that would allow the acquiring firm to recognize the options embedded in their investments. The objective of this case study is to analyze, from real options perspective, whether the acquisitions of the target firm compliment the acquiring firm. The methods use for the analysis are DCF, Black-Scholes and Binomial Lattice that would help determine the project real value, which result suggested that the acquiring firm should reconsider their options. On this thesis, the DCF method suggesting that the acquisition of Bank Y by Bank X does increase the value of Bank X but there would not be added value on the synergy itself. While from the real options perspective, the project value (with and without real options flexibility) is worth less than the target firm underlying assets and has doubtful prospect
Context-dependent effects of IL-2 rewire immunity into distinct cellular circuits
Interleukin 2 (IL-2) is a key homeostatic cytokine, with therapeutic applications in both immunogenic and tolerogenic immune
modulation. Clinical use has been hampered by pleiotropic functionality and widespread receptor expression, with unexpected
adverse events. Here, we developed a novel mouse strain to divert IL-2 production, allowing identification of contextual
outcomes. Network analysis identified priority access for Tregs and a competitive fitness cost of IL-2 production among both
Tregs and conventional CD4 T cells. CD8 T and NK cells, by contrast, exhibited a preference for autocrine IL-2 production. IL-2
sourced from dendritic cells amplified Tregs, whereas IL-2 produced by B cells induced two context-dependent circuits:
dramatic expansion of CD8+ Tregs and ILC2 cells, the latter driving a downstream, IL-5âmediated, eosinophilic circuit. The
source-specific effects demonstrate the contextual influence of IL-2 function and potentially explain adverse effects observed
during clinical trials. Targeted IL-2 production therefore has the potential to amplify or quench particular circuits in the IL-2
network, based on clinical desirability

Particle physics today faces the challenge of explaining the mystery of dark matter, the origin of matter over anti-matter in the Universe, the origin of the neutrino masses, the apparent fine-tuning of the electro-weak scale, and many other aspects of fundamental physics. Perhaps the most striking frontier to emerge in the search for answers involves new physics at mass scales comparable to familiar matter, below the GeV-scale, or even radically below, down to sub-eV scales, and with very feeble interaction strength. New theoretical ideas to address dark matter and other fundamental questions predict such feebly interacting particles (FIPs) at these scales, and indeed, existing data provide numerous hints for such possibility. A vibrant experimental program to discover such physics is under way, guided by a systematic theoretical approach firmly grounded on the underlying principles of the Standard Model. This document represents the report of the FIPs 2022 workshop, held at CERN between the 17 and 21 October 2022 and aims to give an overview of these efforts, their motivations, and the decadal goals that animate the community involved in the search for FIPs

Pengenalan Komputer Disertai Pelatihan Mengetik bagi Anak Remaja Pusat Pengembangan Anak 434 Gloria Genyem Kelurahan Tabri Provinsi Papua
Knowledge in the computer field is needed by everyone nowadays. In Papua Province, there is a Child Development Center (PPA 434) which aims to train and teach children in various fields of knowledge. Despite limited computer and internet facilities, training was provided to children to improve their computer skills. The material provided in this training is knowledge in the field of computer hardware, software and the ability to type using a computer. The training is provided using a distance learning system regularly every week for four meetings. The training results were measured using pre-test and post-test, which showed an increase in literacy skills in the computer field after participating in this training.Pengetahuan di bidang komputer diperlukan oleh setiap orang saat ini. Di Provinsi Papua terdapat Pusat Pengembangan Anak (PPA 434) yang bertujuan untuk melatih dan mengajar anak-anak dalam berbagai bidang ilmu. Meskipun fasilitas komputer dan internet yang terbatas, pelatihan diberikan kepada anak-anak untuk meningkatkan kemampuan di bidang komputer. Materi yang diberikan dalam pelatihan ini adalah pengetahuan di bidang perangkat keras komputer, perangkat lunak dan kemampuan mengetik menggunakan komputer. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah memberikan literasi di bidang komputer seperti pengetahuan perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak serta pelatihan mengetik. Metoda pelatihan diberikan menggunakan sistem belajar jarak jauh secara berkala setiap minggu sebanyak empat kali pertemuan. Peserta pelatihan dan instruktur melakukan pelatihan di tempat masing masing (Papua dan Bandung) menggunakan aplikasi zoom. Hasil pelatihan diukur menggunakan pre-test dan post-test yang memperlihatkan peningkatan kemampuan literasi di bidang komputer setelah mengikuti pelatihan ini. Para peserta pelatihan juga diberikan pengetesan kecepatan mengetik. Pada akhir pelatihan berdasarkan dari hasil pengukuran pre-test dan post-test didapatkan bahwa pengetahuan para peserta pelatihan telah meningkat. Selain itu juga kemampuan mengetik para peserta pelatihan telah meningkat dari 17 kata per menit menjadi 29 kata per menit
Naming a New Self: Identity Elasticity and Self-Definition in Voluntary Name Changes
This article considers how personal name changes are situated within their sociological context in the United States. Reviewing both popular and scholarly texts on names and name changes, I draw on recent work on identity and narrative by Oriana to argue that voluntary personal name changes are made in relation to a sense of narrative elasticity oridentity elasticity, and act symbolically to make a shifting identity or self-narrative manifest in the social context. Drawing out these themes through an exploration of name changes for ethnic self-definition or religious purposes, I conclude with a reflection on the unstable social balance between an individualâs interest in self-expression and societyâs priority on the stable identification of persons within a given social sphere
