    This study aimed to describe the introduction of English language learning. This research uses descriptive method kualitif. Collecting data using observation, interviews, documentation. Data collector interview guides, observation guidelines, field notes, documents. Subject study A group of English teachers and children A group of 25 people. The results showed: (1) in lesson planning the introduction of English have a theme, indicators, main activity, things to do, supporting visuals, notes. (2) teachers have been implementing learning English language recognition in accordance with RPPH, (3) factors supporting the introduction of English language learning is the availability of instructional media introduction of the English language provided by the institution and the teacher. (4) factors inhibiting the introduction of learning English because English is not the primary language used by children (5) Teachers observe and assess the learning process as a child job evaluation

    A 40-Year Cohort Study of Evolving Hypothalamic Dysfunction in Infants and Young Children (<3 years) with Optic Pathway Gliomas

    Despite high survival, paediatric optic pathway hypothalamic gliomas are associated with significant morbidity and late mortality. Those youngest at presentation have the worst outcomes. We aimed to assess presenting disease, tumour location, and treatment factors implicated in the evolution of neuroendocrine, metabolic, and neurobehavioural morbidity in 90 infants/children diagnosed before their third birthday and followed-up for 9.5 years (range 0.5–25.0). A total of 52 (57.8%) patients experienced endo-metabolic dysfunction (EMD), the large majority (46) of whom had hypothalamic involvement (H+) and lower endocrine event-free survival (EEFS) rates. EMD was greatly increased by a diencephalic syndrome presentation (85.2% vs. 46%, p = 0.001)), H+ (OR 6.1 95% CI 1.7–21.7, p 0.005), radiotherapy (OR 16.2, 95% CI 1.7–158.6, p = 0.017) and surgery (OR 4.8 95% CI 1.3–17.2, p = 0.015), all associated with anterior pituitary disorders. Obesity occurred in 25% of cases and was clustered with the endocrinopathies. Neurobehavioural deficits occurred in over half (52) of the cohort and were associated with H+ (OR 2.5 95% C.I. 1.1–5.9, p = 0.043) and radiotherapy (OR 23.1 C.I. 2.9–182, p = 0.003). Very young children with OPHG carry a high risk of endo-metabolic and neurobehavioural comorbidities which deserve better understanding and timely/parallel support from diagnosis to improve outcomes. These evolve in complex, hierarchical patterns over time whose aetiology appears predominantly determined by injury from the hypothalamic tumour location alongside adjuvant treatment strategies

    Procedural generation of music-guided weapons

    Beyond the standard use of music as a passive and, sometimes, optional component of player experience the impact of music as a guide for the procedural generation of game content has not been explored yet. Being a core elicitor of player experience music can be used to drive the generation of personalized game content for a particular musical theme, song or sound effect being played during the game. In this paper we introduce a proof-of-concept game demonstrator exploring the relationship between music and visual game content across different playing behaviors and styles. For that purpose, we created a side-scroller shooter game where players can affect the relationship between projectiles’ trajectories and the background music through interactive evolution. By coupling neuroevolution of augmented topologies with interactive evolution we are able to create an initial arsenal of innovative weapons. Those weapons are both interesting to play with and also create novel fusions of visual and musical aesthetics.Thanks to Ryan Abela for his input on designing the sound extraction methods. We present a case in which the dentist mistook the subcutaneous emphysema following such a procedure for an allergic/anaphylactic reaction and sent him to the emergency department in an ambulance. The differential diagnosis and the subsequent management, including the role of oxygen and techniques to prevent such complications, are discussed

    Safety and efficacy of a natural mixture of dolomite plus magnesite and magnesium-phyllosilicates (Fluidol) as feed additive for all animal species

    The additive, a natural mixture of dolomite plus magnesite and magnesium-phyllosilicates, is intended to be used as a technological additive (functional groups: anticaking agents) in feedingstuffs for all animal species. The additive is safe in complete feed for dairy cows, piglets and pigs for fattening at a maximum concentration of 20,000 mg/kg. No conclusions can be drawn for all the other animal species/categories. The additive is not genotoxic. As the additive is essentially not absorbed from the gut lumen, the Panel on Additives and Products or Substances used in Animal Feed considers that use of the additive in animal nutrition is safe for consumers of food products from animals fed diets containing the additive. The additive is not an irritant to the eyes and the skin, it is not a skin sensitiser and it is of low toxicity by the inhalation route. The components of the additive (dolomite, magnesite, talc and chlorite) are natural constituents of soil. Consequently, the use of the additive in animal nutrition will not pose a risk to the environment. The additive is effective as an anticaking agent at a minimum inclusion level of 5,000 mg/kg feed

    Safety and efficacy of L arginine produced by Corynebacterium glutamicum KCTC 10423BP for all animal species

    L-Arginine is considered as a non-essential amino acid for most adult mammalian species, but it is classified as essential for birds, fish, possibly reptiles and also for strict carnivores. The following conclusions refer to L-arginine produced by Corynebacterium glutamicum KCTC 10423BP. The use of L-arginine is safe for target species when supplemented to diets in appropriate amounts. There are no safety concerns arising from ruminal L-arginine metabolism. The composition of edible tissues and products of animal origin will not be altered by the use of L-arginine in animal nutrition. Considering the high purity of the product under assessment, no risk is expected for the consumer from the use of L-arginine as a feed additive. L-Arginine is not irritating to skin or eyes and is not likely to be a skin sensitiser. Although there is a potential for user exposure by inhalation, there is evidence of no acute toxicity by the inhalation route. The use of L-arginine in animal nutrition would not pose a risk to the environment. Dietary L-arginine is an effective source of arginine for all animal species when a requirement exists. For the supplemental L-arginine to be fully efficacious in ruminants, it requires protection against degradation in the rumen
