Arquitectura paisajística : Plan seccional de sistema de miradores urbanos en las Nubes, Municipio El Crucero"

El Municipio el Crucero posee una población altamente joven, con poco nivel escolar y presenta la característica de ser una ciudad dormitorio, es decir que sus habitantes salen a estudiar y en su mayoría a trabajar a otros Departamentos de nuestro país, exceptuando durante la fecha de corte y recolección de café donde las haciendas cafetaleras son una fuente de empleo temporal. El Sector en Estudio es el área que corresponde al Área Urbana de Las Nubes, que es parte del Centro Histórico del Municipio El Crucero, aquí encontramos la particularidad que presenta el mejor clima de la Zona del Pacífico, se desarrolla sobre una especie de cordillera y es el punto más alto del Crucero y del departamento de Managua, por lo que se aprecia una vista natural excepcional hacia el Lago de Managua, los volcanes Momotombo y Momotombito y toda la Sierra de Managua; también se puede apreciar una carencia de identidad urbana en la población, en la falta de cultura hacia las bellezas naturales y cuido hacia los recursos siendo explotados indiscriminadamente. Considerando todos estos factores, analizando la evolución histórica del lugar y las condiciones naturales privilegiadas con que cuenta, se propone un Sistema de Miradores Públicos cubriendo las necesidades de espacios públicos recreativos para la población, la ausencia de un espacio urbano definido, impulsar una Identidad Urbana del Sector con hitos para el lugar y promoviendo nuevas fuentes de empleo con la explotación sostenible de los recursos a través del turismo y el comercio. Determining optimum wavelengths for leaf water content estimation from reflectance: A distance correlation approach

This paper proposes a method to estimate leaf water content from reflectance in four commercial vineyard varieties by estimating the local maxima of a distance correlation function. First, it applies four different functional regression models to the data and compares the models to test the viability of estimating water content from reflectance. It then applies our methodology to select a small number of wavelengths (optimum wavelengths) from the continuous spectrum, which simplifies the regression problem. Finally, it compares the results to those obtained by means of two different methods: a nonparametric kernel smoothing for variable selection in functional data and a wavelet-based weighted LASSO functional linear regression. Our approach proved to have some advantages over these two testing approaches, mainly in terms of the computing time and the lack of assumption of an underlying model.
