As habilidades em leitura desenvolvidas pelos alunos das escolas municipais do Rio de Janeiro: um estudo a partir dos dados da pesquisa GERES - 2005

O artigo descreve, resumidamente, o Projeto GERES e sua metodologia. Salienta a importância e adequação da modelagem longitudinal para aferir o “valor agregado” e os efeitos das intervenções dos estabelecimentos escolares na aprendizagem dos alunos. Em seguida, com base nas medidas de proficiência em leitura obtidas pela pesquisa no início o no final de 2005, é construída uma escala de proficiência que, interpretada qualitativamente, norteia a caracterização de diferentes níveis de aprendizagem na referida área, conferindo-se, assim, sentido pedagógico à escala. Posteriormente, são apresentados os resultados encontrados em relação às habilidades conquistadas em leitura pelos estudantes do ano intermediário do ciclo de formação das escolas da rede municipal do Rio de Janeiro. Verifica-se um aumento significativo do aprendizado médio apresentado pelos alunos participantes do estudo, o que contradiz uma hipótese recorrente no meio educacional segundo a qual o fracasso identificado nas séries iniciais do Ensino Fundamental teria origem no processo de alfabetização

A participação dos educadores não docentes nos conselhos escolares em escolas estaduais do estado do Paraná

Neste sentido, busca apresentar em que medida estes educadores não docentes atuam na tomada de decisões do órgão em questão, verificando como estes educadores se percebem e são percebidos pelos demais em sua atuação como conselheiros.Abstract : This work intends to emphasize the relevance and effectiveness of the School Board in school management, showing the importance of participation by school officials in this collegiate body, since the functions they perform are increasingly being perceived as educational activities. Utilização de Resíduos Agro-Industriais em Processos Biotecnológicos como Perspectiva de Redução do Impacto Ambiental

The increasing concern about the environment has been mobilizing some market segments. Several governmental bodies and industries are preparing to apply an environment policy that diminishes the negative impacts to the nature. The industrial residue, after being generated, needs an adjusted destination, since, beyond creating potential environment problems, the residues represent losses of raw materials and energy, demanding significant investments in the pollution controlling treatments. The food industry produces a series of residues of high value of (re)utilization. Many works study the residues bioutilization such as the crushed sugar cane for protein enrichment of animal ration. In this work it will be presented a study of a possible usage of the crushed sugar cane for the production of Spirulina with satisfactory protein increment results when compared with other results gotten in literature.The increasing concern about the environment has been mobilizing some market segments. Inúmeros órgãos governamentais e indústrias estão se preparando para aplicar uma política ambiental que diminua os impactos negativos à natureza. O resíduo industrial, depois de gerado, necessita de destino adequado, pois, além de criar potenciais problemas ambientais, os resíduos representam perdas de matérias-primas e energia, exigindo investimentos significativos em tratamentos para controlar a poluição. A indústria de alimentos produz uma série de resíduos de alto valor de (re)utilização. Muitos trabalhos estudam a bioutilização de resíduos tais como o bagaço de cana-de-açúcar para enriquecimento protéico de ração animal. Neste trabalho será apresentado um estudo sobre a possível utilização do bagaço de cana-de-açúcar para produção de Spirulina com resultados de incremento protéico bastantes satisfatórios quando comparados com outros resultados obtidos na literatura

Water submetering system: how to determine the flow rates for water meters specification?

Este artigo tem como objetivo avaliar os resultados obtidos na estimativa das vazões de projeto para o dimensionamento de hidrômetros de sistemas prediais de água fria com medição individualizada, empregando um método probabilístico aberto e o método empírico recomendado na normalização brasileira. Como os resultados finais indicam grandes diferenças nas vazões de projeto estimadas pelos dois métodos, é importante realizar pesquisa de campo a fim de verificar os valores obtidos. O modelo probabilístico aberto permite que o projetista ajuste as variáveis relacionadas ao uso da água para refletir melhor a realidade das vazões no sistema predial em função de diferentes condições de utilização. Por isso, seu emprego apresenta-se mais vantajoso, principalmente em sistemas com medição individualizada, em que a especificação do hidrômetro é efetuada, entre outros parâmetros, em função da vazão de projeto.The objective of this paper is to compare the results obtained in the estimate of the design flow rates to the dimension water meters of water submetering systems in buildings by means not only from an open probabilistic model but also from the empirical method recommended by the Brazilian Standard. As the final results show considerable differences in the design flow rates estimated by both methods, it is extremely important to perform field survey in order to check the obtained values. The open probabilistic model enables the practitioner to adjust the variables related to the water use to better reflect the flow rates in the plumbing system according to the different conditions of use. Due to this advantage, its use appears to be more beneficial than the empirical method, mainly concerning submetering systems where the specification of the water meters takes into account the design flow rate

Localized re-definition of legal justice: the feminine of the south in the early constitutional transition and its practice by the Consumer Protection Office of the MPDFT-Brasilia-Brazil - a framework for cross-border disputes in EC Consumer Law and policy

This thesis presents an alternative reading of law as a way to settle conflicts and dispense justice through the eyes of the feminine and their ethics of care as elaborated by Carol Gilligan. An elective articulation between cultural feminism and postmodern ethics has been defended rather than coincidence. It shows the aporias of modernity through the reading of postmodernity, especially the undeniable exigencies of Levinas’ ethics of alterity and the reading done by Derrida of Benjamin’s characterization of law as violence. The challenges of postmodernity in those respects remain and then the findings of Gilligan’s different voice are articulated to offer a possible Aufhebung . No coincidence is defended but a proper articulation is defended. This thesis defends a reconceptualisation of justice as a feminine virtue within a postmodern paradigm of law and its rematerialization and reflexiveness as well the advancement of Relational Contract Theory and Need- Oriented Contact Theory. It explores early practices of Consumer Protection Office of MPDFT-Brasilia-Brazil which were responding to a transition constitutional situation after the redemocratization of the country and were an institutional lost paradigm of justice as a feminine virtue. The desired outcome is to identify a possible framework for justice as care, considering a manifold diagnosed gap in consumer justice in the EC

Olhares sobre a tradição

Este artigo reflete a respeito dos diferentes olhares que a modernidade projeta sobre as sociedades da tradição, vendo-as ora do ponto de vista negativo, em suas desordens, ora do ponto de vista positivo, a partir de suas ordens imanentes. Pierre Clastres é um dos antropólogos contemporâneos que focaliza o modo através do qual as sociedades ditas primitivas são freqüentemente percebidas pela ausência, no prisma da civilização ocidental: pela falta de trabalho, de Estado e de ordem. George Balandier coloca em questão esse imaginário ocidental sobre as sociedades tradicionais, mesmo quando tais sociedades aparecem como expressão do positivo, do equilíbrio. Entendendo que ordem e desordem são categorias reguladoras da vida humana, para o autor, é preciso repensar o conceito de tradição dotado de movimento. Assim, os povos da tradição não podem ser vistos como estagnados, parados no tempo, mas imersos em outros ritmos temporais, mesmo no encontro (confronto) com a modernidade. Observing tradition Abstract This article pretend procedure to the reflection of different view that the modernity project over societies of tradition, look at them sometimes from the negative point of view in its disorder, sometimes from the positive point of view, from its order immanent. Pierre Clastres is one of our present anthropologist that focus the manner through the societies supposed primitive are often perceive by absence in the prism of occidental civilization: because of absence of job, state and order. George Balandier puts in question this occidental imaginary about traditional societies, even when those societies appears like expression of positive and of the balance. For Balandier order and disorder are regulator category of human life; this author thinks that we need rethink the conceit of tradition endowed of movement. Thus, the people of tradition, can not be viewed like stagnated, standing up still, but immersed in others temporary rhythm, with own dynamics, even in the meeting (confront) with the modernity

A PERSISTÊNCIA DA UNIDADE FAMILIAR DE PRODUÇÃO: A SERICULTURA EM CHARQUEADA

O presente trabalho objetiva a análise da organização do espaço agrário através da persistência de unidades de produção camponesas. Avalia o papel da familia como unidade de produção e de consumo na atividade mercantil sericícola. É expressa a autonomia e subordinação do produtor familiar  inculado ao complexo agroindustrial textil como produtor de matéria-prima (casulos) para a fiaçao de fios de seda. Efetua-se uma análise do processo de desenvolvimento da sericicultura tanto no município de Charqueada quanto no Estado de São Paulo e ainda uma descrição do processo produtivo e da comercialização realizada entre produtor e indústria
